Keep up the steampunk items!
Thanks for watching!
Pro tip - you can switch to Inches mode by clicking the little box to the right of the Rotate field in the top bar marked "mm" you can even do dual units!
You have to be kidding! That is so cool. That is going to make things so much easier. All though it probably wouldn’t hurt me to leave metric. LOL. Thanks so much for watching and the great tip!
Mistakes are how we learn. Great project.
Isn’t that the truth! Thanks so much for watching.
i thought i've seen it all with the steam punk coffee maker ...until now !!!! your stuff is so cool brother !
Thanks Kmac! This one is a favorite of mine.
WOW !!! Gene you did it AGAIN! Absolutely love it!👏👏👏🙌
Thanks Donscott! This was a fun project and I learned so much on it. As always, thanks so much for watching.
So this project turned out very good !
This was a learning project. And I have a lot to learn. Thanks so much for again for watching.
Brother, I love how you're continuing you're creativity and not letting your physical setback stop you! I was planning on purchasing something similar to step up my game. I also like you am leary of new computer aided tools but watching this video you've given me courage to try something new. I enjoy your videos, creativity and most of all your message letting people know that we can overcome certain things.
Oh so much! If I can do this stuff anyone can. Thank you for the encouragement. And, thanks for watching.
Hey Gene, you have a cool steampunk collection going on, however I missed your guitar building videos. Maybe for your next project, could you build a steampunk guitar? A steampunk flying V would be cool!
oh I totally love that idea. Thanks so much for watching.
Totally awesome project, thank you for sharing. I hope this laser allows you to continue creating thousands more.
Thanks so much. The laser definitely will help me to keep coming up with projects. Thanks so much for watching.
Greetings from Australia, thanks for your video's. I am always hanging out for another one.Keep up your good work.
Thank you so much. And thanks for always watching! Have a wonderful holiday season down under.
Gene, that is awesome! That laser cutter is incredible!👍😎
I had no idea how much I would enjoy this laser cutter. Thanks Dartman for watching.
@@DIYGene yep!
Incredible build and you present it in such a way to make it seem achievable! (Plus you, paint before assembly…pet peeve:))
Usually I don’t paint before putting it together. But this had some really tough places to reach it would have been impossible to do once assembled. Thanks again for watching.
Great project, loved it ! Please publish the plans. It would make a great switch in my shop. Thanks, Gene.
I plan on putting it out very soon. Thanks so much for watching.
Stumbled across you when I was looking for lightsaber videos. Glad I did. I love watching your videos. would love if you put the plans up
Thank you so much. I am working on doing that very thing. I think I need to share the basic plans as well. Thanks so much for watching.
Your creations are amazing! Your creations are what inspired me to create some of my own. I owe my thanks to you.
Thanks so much. You inspire me to keep creating.
Love this! You have me wanting to steampunk everything! Thanks so much for the inspiration and techniques!
Thank you! I’m so glad it inspires you!
yes i love your builds
Thank you so much and thanks for watching.
Really cool project. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for watching!
Gene, you do some spectacular work. You do an amazing job on all your projects; you turn the ordinary into something totally out of this world. Keep up the great work. I was really thrown with the finish you did on the $65 guitar kit several years ago. Leo Fender couldn't have done it better. Thanks for all your video projects
Thanks so much. I truly have fun with these projects and I pray I can keep it up for a long time. I would be honored if Leo Fender would have even given me a nod. LOL. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for being such a great inspiration.
I am really not a great inspiration. I just really like making stuff. Thanks so much for watching.
Excellent project Gene!
Thank you Deb!
How cool is this? I just have to try something like on a project I'm working on! Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you. I’m glad it gave you some inspiration. Thanks again for watching.
Awesome stuff Gene! Love all your steampunk stuff! Great inspirations for when I start building out my shop. Also, bravo for sharing info on the tremors... my wife's been after me to go get checked out for similar symptoms and I wasn't aware of the Essential Tremors until seeing this vid. Keep the great content coming!!!
Thank you so much. But look into the Essential Tremors. It’s not so bad compared to something’s worse like Parkinson’s. Listen to your wife and get it checked out. God bless.
What a cool idea!
It was really a fun project. Thanks again for watching.
👍 Came out pretty cool. I like it.
Thanks Nick, this was a fun and learning project. Thanks again for watching.
that really is a neat project and you got me thinking about doing something like this. Good job.
Thanks, This was a really fun project. Thanks again for watching.
Awesome idea.
Thank you. I’m still learning how to use this laser cutter but I’m having fun doing it. Thanks again for watching.
I love it. It's fantastic!
This was a really fun project. Thanks so much for watching.
When you say 1/4 inch thick, are you meaning 6mm??? Those switches will make it easier for Shopcat to turn off the lights :)🤣😂🤣
LOL, I have to ask shop cat for the correct measurements. Thanks so much for watching.
Cool build!
Thanks Old B- One!
Absolutely brilliant
Thanks so much. This was a really fun project. Thanks again for watching.
Stumbled on your channel a few days ago, am totally hooked, lol. I started loving steam punk because of my son and now I can make and surprise him with these awesome creations from you. Thank you so much. Hugs from Belgium.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you find the channel useful. I would love to see how some of your projects turn out. Thanks again and hugs back to Belgium.
Fun project. Nice to see the CNC helping you. Yes, I would love to see the plans.
Great. I am going to correct the whole size and the light switch plate and then will make them available. Thanks for watching.
Superb!!
Thank you so much for watching.
Looks like you accidentally made a whole bunch of guitar picks at the same time
LOL, I thought the same thing.
Great project! Really loved the way that came out. And the solid "click" at the end ... perfection!
I was actually surprised how I somehow managed to make this work. Thanks so much for watching.
Great project Gene! I love all the steampunk creations in your library!
Well thank you. I love me some steampunk! Thanks for watching.
Great job! Really like your SP projects.
Thanks so much for watching!
Great video! I loath metric as well.
I have to laugh, I then found out you can change the Light Burn software to inches. It made my life much easier. Thanks for watching Bob!
great video.. love your stuff.
Thank you so much. How is your channel doing?
@@DIYGene we are growing slowly but its going good.. we just hit a decent growth with trailer reactions, and the Indian (From India) movies are getting more traction than the others.
Haven't seen you in a while! Check out using ultrasound for essential tremors. I have tremors too and am looking into it.
I would love to know how that works. I have also heard they are trying Botox. Thanks so much for watching.
@@DIYGene I found this

On another part. I thought you posted more often, but then I looked at your site and quickly realized that I binge-watched every vid you have. LOL!
Hi John, I will definitely check this out. And I love the fact that you binge watched my channel! Thanks again!
Gene you inspired me to do something similar to your switch in this video . I'm starting with a late 1920's ( I think ) home fuse box and converting it into a Tri Panal Switch . I'll let you know how it comes out . Thank you for all you do and I pray someday the Doctor's will be able to help you with the Tremmer's .
I am excited to see how it turns out. Thank again so much for watching.
@@DIYGene You bet. I got your email address so when it's finished I'll have my daughter email the pictures to you. With her sending them I'm sure they will reach you. Keep up the great work my friend.
@@glenrugh2815 I look forward to it.
ET - Just remember what my doctor told me --- You're lucky it ain't parkinson's!
That’s pretty much what mine said to me too. Thanks for watching.
Love this switch! I can neither afford a laser cutter nor have the tools or skills to cut one by hand. I would happily purchase a pre cut set. Is one available? Thx.
It's so enjoyable to watch you create. Do you sell a cut file for this project? I would like to use these in my new studio.
I have started to do that. Right now I have only done a steampunk clock but I am going to also put out the double and a single light switch. Thanks again for watching.
Just wondering. Are the switches backwards ? ( up is off. Down is on ) ? I can change the wires if so I guess
You are so correct. I flipped the switches for that very reason. I should have mentioned that. Thanks so much for w.
