Me & a mate were fortunate enough to have a chat with the bloke who ran the McLaren F1 team back in the day whilst he showed us around Senna's 1988 MP4/4 F1 car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years back. The car didn't run on gas, it ran on a mix of Toluene & Xylene. Apparently the '80s turbo F1 engines liked it and they could run much more boost. Freddy, I love your sense of humor. If what is happening has not happen. Is no sense in worrying about it. If what has happened is happening. It's too late to worry about it. No matter if you r McLaren is in pieces. It is expensive pieces. It's being repaired. You still are a proud owner of a McLaren P1. And it is still more expensive, than anyone have to include myself. And even your pieces is more expensive then what most can afford. Hold your head up, everything will be alright! God bless.. 😊
The model car is a rip off, probably made in PRC! LOL A 1 :18 scale model with far better quality costs not more than 100 $! Somehow this whole costumer experience including spare parts prices seems like daylight robbery! A Porsche 918 offers better quality for far less money.
It’s ironic you’re sponsored by the auction house you got the P1 from. And it STILL had stuff stolen out of it to resell BY THE AUCTION HOUSE. Not great business promo
That’s not a die cast, it’s a resin model, and it’s 100 times more accurate and detailed a die-cast would ever be, by technology. Resin allows for very tiny details, but the drawback is it won’t allow (in most cases) moving details cause it’s more fragile, obviously. That model was probably done by Amalgam which is an official supplier for McLaren. Amalgam 1:18 models usually go for around 1000€, so what you have is a very rare (I suspect as limited as the real car is, since you can’t buy 1:18 Amalgam P1s) and highly detailed model by one of the most important model makers in the world. Saying “doors don’t open so it’s meh” it’s just ignorant.
Just needs a SPONGEBOB wrap job dine for its first drive. Come on Freddy, break the Internet. You know id go viral as hell get traffic to channel and then you can blow it apart and paint it.
Mclaren havent won stuff for a very long time. They are nowhere near as good as they were when in their prime...now they just make expensive cars that 100% will break down. Case in point, Manny K's P1 battery crapped itself, and hardly has any miles on it.
you got an Owner's Manual? Cool! but- understand that if you're one of those people who like to complain, every year you'll get a Moaner's Annual (sorry)
Tempted to show this to my Mrs as she still moans about the expensive of buying a 90 quid bag to match my M3, I'd get yourself a locking glass Cabnet if you display it at the house, that way you can have it at a height and in a place you can show off without the sticky mits on it and if you want to compromise you can get cheap 1/24 size ones they can bang up without worry and still get to pretend they are driving their Dads car.
Freddy missed a perfect opportunity to throw in a Spongebob reference @6:19 when he said, "...this is a cleaner version than the one we took out." He could've followed "...than we took out" with "...because it lived in a pineapple under the sea for a few of days." The pineapple is in reference to the yellow paint color on Freddy's P1, and the engine lived inside it for those few days underwater.
My guess if it’s anything like rolls Royce, it was pre loaded with information on ordering custom luggage sets. A friend I work with received something very similar along with his Phantom.

I was on a McLaren hosted track day at Yas island a few years back in 720s and the McLaren memory sticks were plugged in recording my driving data. Not sure if they are the same, sure look the same,
Mclaren really dropped the ball on that 'model'.. They should have went all in on it just as they did with the real car. Not only should it have been fully functional with operating doors, wing etc but it should have also came with an RC remote control which mimics the real steering wheel with both ipas and drs buttons to make it go faster and operate the wing... think Hyper RC car.... that would have made a bold statement and every owner would have been thrilled to receive something with that much effort put into it.

Quality content my friend been watching you for years! Keep posting videos!. Quality content my friend been watching you for years! Keep posting videos!.
Less books, toys, and unboxing videos and more P1 construction and modification. Or Audi R8 V10 swap with a VF Engineering supercharger, deleted cats, and exhaust.
thats pretty cool. I would have bought it too.
That isn't expensive.
Someone bought a very expensive and broken yellow aquarium for a 6 digit price, you know...

Dude!
that Sea Worthiness award should go to YOU -- for buying a P1 that was UNDER WATER!
(burp!)
The McLaren USB is for your track telemetry recording in the car.
What's the capacity of the USB?
EVERYTHING IS ---- COOL he open a book its Cool , he closes a book its cool , he turns a page its cool ,,
Just needs a SPONGEBOB wrap job dine for its first drive. Come on Freddy, break the Internet. You know id go viral as hell get traffic to channel and then you can blow it apart and paint it.
I'm pretty sure that is a resin model Freddy
Mclaren havent won stuff for a very long time. They are nowhere near as good as they were when in their prime...now they just make expensive cars that 100% will break down. Case in point, Manny K's P1 battery crapped itself, and hardly has any miles on it.
Isnt it easier to just plug in the USB in your computor and look for your self??😅😅😅
"wHaT cOlOr Is YoUr McLaReN" might be the funniest thing i've heard all week! LOLOL
Regarding the diecast P1, bring Ed Bassmaster over to your house and have him tell the kids they can just LOOK AT IT.
I guess it is slightly overpriced, you should get an AMALGAM copy of your P1, but those are even more insanly overpriced :)
USB probably for software updates.. before OTA updates were a thing.. just a guess.
Drinking contest for every time you mention theP1 was flooded/underwater (Jack you have my permission to slap Mr T at the same time)…starting now!
you got an Owner's Manual?
Cool!
but- understand that if you're one of those people who like to complain, every year you'll get a Moaner's Annual
(sorry)
Tempted to show this to my Mrs as she still moans about the expensive of buying a 90 quid bag to match my M3, I'd get yourself a locking glass Cabnet if you display it at the house, that way you can have it at a height and in a place you can show off without the sticky mits on it and if you want to compromise you can get cheap 1/24 size ones they can bang up without worry and still get to pretend they are driving their Dads car.
You should fill the display model with a blue epoxy resin so it appears underwater!
7:50 “You guy’s don’t own any McLaren P1’s”
Andrew Tate has entered the chat. “What color is your Bugatti?” 😂
My guess if it’s anything like rolls Royce, it was pre loaded with information on ordering custom luggage sets. A friend I work with received something very similar along with his Phantom.
Everyone has a p1 in forza
We all live in a yellow submarine
A yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
A yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine...
I was on a McLaren hosted track day at Yas island a few years back in 720s and the McLaren memory sticks were plugged in recording my driving data. Not sure if they are the same, sure look the same,
*I do believe your P1 has OFFICIALY done better than the OceanGate submersible*
Mclaren really dropped the ball on that 'model'.. They should have went all in on it just as they did with the real car. Not only should it have been fully functional with operating doors, wing etc but it should have also came with an RC remote control which mimics the real steering wheel with both ipas and drs buttons to make it go faster and operate the wing... think Hyper RC car.... that would have made a bold statement and every owner would have been thrilled to receive something with that much effort put into it.
Clear opportunity here. Call the guys at "Tanked" To build you a P1 aquarium, they''ll get all the details of ur wrecked car correct in its underwater condition and U can put the other car on a road part in the other side of the tank and everyone that comes in ur office will see it and U can be like Yeap, thats what happened! 😊
Funny thing is that T(W)OVARISH is language wise better.
Sorry, but you basically spent money for stuff that the brand gives customers so they feel special about their purchase.
A couple of books of interest to absolutely no one other than an owner - and maybe not even those - plus a toy car.
Respect to your passion, dedication and work, but this, no.
Just no.
oh, i keep saying that i've seen two p1's in my son's school car park (a few years ago now) but i almost forgot. i used to work for electronic arts in their purpose built building on a lake, it had it's own cinema, bar, restaurants and the stair case was used in the film inception. but i was working on formula one 2000 and we had couthard and kimi's f1 cars (display cars) in the foyer, mclaren were our next door neighbour.
So is your P1 considered a submersible cause....never mind! 🤷🏽♂️🤣
Hey Freddy, I know it looks yellow but could it be the original Bruce Mclaren orange he did years ago on his racing cars when he had to drop New Zealand Black livery?
The P1 is "our" car specially when your in front of Jack who helps you in rebuilding cars!!!
The Beatles did a song about your car. The Yellow Submarine. 😂😂😂
Your P1 came with your own personal beach, priceless.
AutoArt makes a really nice 1/18 P1 that is fully opening and they have it in yellow as well
How much less than 6 grand is it? 🤔🤔😆
McLearnin' about the $6000 McClaren accessories 🤙
Do the harbor freight wheels next to the couch come with the car ?
