@@BushPrep I can’t say for that person but I am upgrading to a cardo packtalk bold from a sena and my main reason is that the sena 50s sometimes has issues with voice commands and even sometimes all of a sudden switches to radio with no input on the device. As well as I’m on my 2nd set of speakers from sena in a year period both sets have failed and there’s no support for it.
I think the voice recognition is tuned to the guy in the video. I have trouble getting it to respond, or to properly understand my voice commands, but it got all of his 100% while I watched this video! 😃

I've had the packtalk bold duo for a few weeks now .I got it because my wife and I ride an extremely loud Harley and we couldn't hear each other talk even screaming in each others ears while stopped at the lights. With the cardos we can carry on a normal conversation and hear each other quite clearly at the lights or screaming down the freeway . Thanks Cardo our rides are so much more fun now.
I just grabbed one a couple weeks ago to match my brothers in law I found it hard to hear him with max volume is this the case for you? I made sure connections are tight volume is just low at max
@@WynZillA make sure your speakers are in the right position. I also use a modular helmet. I run my mic on the low to keep wind noise down and volume on high setting then you can adjust your volume on your pack itself.
I’m a great ad for Cardo. Always tellin’ people ditch the loud irritating bike speakers. Go Bluetooth. Go Cardo. One friend has Sena and regrets. The techie sales guys at Sturgis in front of JP cycles always a big help. Thanks!
Started watching this trying to decided if I should get the bold or slim. Really impressed with the features so decided to upgrade my Freecom 2+ and buy the bold before I had even finished the video!
A four button interface on such a complex device results in nonintuitive button combinations. This good video helped me create a laminated cheat sheet for the functions I'll use. There's no way I'll remember how to connect non-PackTalk devices a month from now, and anything I carry needs to be durable and waterproof. I wish the quick start guide was organized by task. Bold heading describing what the user wants to do. Example: "Power ON", then describe what button(s) to press and for how long, with a third column describing the blinky light status and any voice confirmations provided by the intercom. The quick guide lists a few of the voice commands that the intercom understands. I'd like to see the complete list. My PackTalk Bold understands me better if I speak softly so there's probably distortion at my normal speaking level.

I didn't think to look in the Settings on the Cardo Connect app to find the list of voice commands and the online version of the Pocket Guide. I'm not sure, but the online version of the Pocket Guide seems more intuitive than the printed version. It's good enough that I don't need to make the laminated card based on the notes I made while watching this video. The voice commands are a good idea but speaker independent voice recognition is a tough problem. For me, on the PackTalk Bold, it's inconsistent enough that I prefer the buttons, even though the buttons require me to remember which random button to press for each situation. I'm also noticing many flaky behaviors with the app controlling the intercom over Bluetooth, but I haven't been able to upgrade the intercom firmware because I don't have a Windows or Mac computer, so maybe that's what's causing the problems. It would be great if I could ship the intercom to Cardo with a $5 bill to pay return shipping and you guys would upgrade the firmware for me. I'm impressed with the sound quality and the ability to answer phone calls while riding. The caller was very intelligible when riding at 50 MPH with a full face helmet, and he reported only minimal wind noise on his end. Nicely done! I almost never ride with anyone so most of my motivation/justification for buying the intercom was to get voice navigation instructions from my cell phone or GPS. The Android cell phone running OSMand+ worked very well with the intercom system. That integration honestly couldn't be better so far. The only issue was the routing preferences of the OSMand+ app. Even with me setting routing preferences, it seems determined to route me along the least scenic routes. I'm still working on that. Even though I don't like listening to music while I ride, I'm tempted to put some MP3s on my phone and give it a try.

Can you recheck the installation and confirm that the mic is directed to your mouth? Can you check the language settings in the Cardo Connect app (English UK/English US)? Please note that the voice commands must be pronounced exactly as they appear in the Pocket guide and might take some practice at first. Regarding the firmware update, unfortunately, it is not possible to ship to us for an update. We hope this helps, Cardo team
Nice video but you guys need to put out some more information regarding setups like cardophonegpscardo. Most GPS units today require a phone pairing, for data transfer and they also have call and media streaming functions, just like the Cardo, so if you pair them like I said above, the GPS and the Cardo will "fight" for media/phone audio and this leads to some features not working correctly, not working at all or to very unstable pairings that keep disconnecting. Example: if my GPS "gets" the phone audio connection than the Cardo won't so I can't use the remote control app, it doesn't see the Cardo. As soon as I prevent my GPS from receiving the phone audio connection, the cardo gets it and then everything is smooth sailing. Now, I am not saying these are bugs, I have a vague feeling that these are related to how the BT protocol works but still, ppl should know about them so they can have a smooth experience
Wow, that was the most informative and detailed video I have seen on how to operate the new Cardo Packtalk Bold and saving it for reference. Very well done indeed and thank you. We are looking at purchasing the Packtalk Bold DUO, as we just sold our 30K duals. We have heard really good things about the PackTalk BOLD. Hopefully we will find a good deal and when we get them they will be as good as all of the reviews I have read online and then I will try and get my groups to change their Sena comms to Cardo too.
As some have mentioned, the NEW Packtalk Bold and Slim have JBL speakers that sound great. Sound MUCH better than the Sena. If you are reading the text, whoever wrote out the text got something wrong... it;s Dynamic MESH, NOT Dynamiic mAsh... his accent sounds like mash, but it IS MESH. My wife and I bought the packtalks from the local Cycle Gear, but they had just ONE Bold and ONE Slim, so I got the Slim and she got the Bold and we got the selections right. We both love our new systems and they automatically connect every time. (We have had them a couple of months.) We have not had the chance to use them with other brands in Bluetooth, but we bought these mainly to stay connected when we ride together. We each have our own bikes, and sometimes get separated, but so far up to about a half mile there was no problem with connection. I WILL SAY if you have a lotta wind hitting your mic it will affect you. At high speed we have to raise our voices, and a lot at 75 or 80! But we usually take back roads and are 65 or under most of the time and they are clear as a bell for the most part. We both have 3/4 helmets (Mine is Z1R with the Slim and hers is Sedici with the Bold). Of course the mic is sensitive enough that she tells me to turn my dang fairing stereo system off or way down cuz it sounds bad through the mic. heh But the FM radio and phone music pairing sound great. Taking a call works great and you can call a preset primary number with the "Hey Cardo Speed Dial" command or to have more flexibility we use the "Ok Google" on the Android phones. ;-) (Much better than Apple! heh heh heh) Overall, we love the Packtalks and they are worth every penny!

The very good and multifunctional device. I've got the Bold set for two years. After this period I can say, that when you ride, it is not so easy to control it. I always have to repeat commands, sometimes many times, although I have the mic almost into my mouth, because the voice recognition is not as perfect as it is shown on the video. The second issue is too complicated way of steering it with this all functions with combinations of buttons and times you have to press them. If you don't use it very frequently, you just don't remember it. I think, that it should be much easier and intuitive to operate with such a device, especially that you ride on a motorbike and you should have your hands on handlebars.

@@CardoSystemsGlobalHi. Thanks for the advice. I'had set the sensitivity to full and the microphone is always very close to my mouth. But that didn't change anything. I still have to speak very loudly and to repeat commands. After one of the updates, I had a problem with voice recognition. Unfortunately, I did not get any effective advice from Cardo's support, except that one, that I probably pronounce the commands incorrectly. The software reinstallation had helped.
At the 14:00 mark after connecting to a Sena you can't go back to DMC mode unless you press the intercom button to disconnect from the Sena. Then go to DMC, then press the intercom button again to bring it all home.
I just got mine in the mail a week ago unfortunately they wouldn’t work in my Gmax MD-01 but I decided to “install” speaker pockets. Also one downside first time I tried to ride with it on my helmet I walked outside and it wasn’t even 2 minutes in 83F that the adhesive just gave up the Cardo fell off my helmet and so did the mic I followed the instructions to put it on to the letter but 3M is just trash I just bought some trim brite trim adhesive and no more problems.
Hello, I have an AGV X3000 and a Bell Bullit and seriusly, after web information, watching videos and writing to AGV and Cardo companies still can't Install this device on my helmets, both have a leather tab that will not let me pass the cables from outside to inside, help me please.
It would be nice to have a voice command to scan for FM radio stations. Something like “Hey Cardo scan up”, “Hey Cardo scan down”, and “Hey Cardo, stop scan.” The presets are only useful when riding around your home. When traveling they are worthless and the scan function is needed all of the time and is not easy to activate when wearing gloves.
I found the manual radio station scan to be very difficult even without gloves. Pressing the scroll button while scrolling tunes up a station 10% of the time. 90% of the time, the scroll button deactivates the radio. I had to use the Cardo app to set the stations, and it was flaky but at least possible.
@@Liberty4Ever Same here. Scanning for stations is the function I use the most while traveling and yet Cardo made it one of the hardest functions to perform. Just stupid design on their part. I guess their engineers must not actually travel using their products.

I bought palktalk bold duo about 9 months ago, but have never been able to get full volume music on the second unit . I originally thought it was because I was sharing music , so I did a compete factory reset and update .This did not improve the situation. I have checked an adjusted volumes on both phones settings and cardo app. When I ride solo not an issue , but disappointed that my wife cannot listen to her spotify at the same level that I enjoy. Any advice would be welcome.
Hei Cardo! I have one question please... Got 2 Boxes of cardo duo PacTalk Bold.. one for my BMW GS one for my friends XR1000. We both can pair the group of for riders (me and him and relative wife) but when we talk eachother via phone (i mean a simple phone call not intercom that works great), we are having some very bad underground noise and bad communication. All the tests we made: 1) Using the Cardo connected only to the Mobile phone: Phone calls are great. Music too - Cannot be controlled by the BMW menu. Phone calls are clear and no bkgd noise. 2) Connecting Phone on bluetooth channel1 and BMW on bluetooth channel 2 - phone also connected to BMW bluetooth: Can use BMW menu for music, phone and apps. Phone calls audio quality very bad. 3) Same as 2 but Cardo connected to BMW, phone connected to BMW, BUT phone disconected from Cardo. Phone calls better but still not as perfect as in case 1. So the question: Nowhere I found instructions on how to proceed if you have to connect a Bike to cardo. BMW handles 2 helmets and the phone and then re-transmit to Cardo (i assumed from tests made). Could somebody be so nice to tell us how to proceed in this case, which channel to use with what, and what has to be connected in the final scenario and what can be disconnected? Thanks a lot ! Keky
I have the Sena RT1 and also Cardo Freecom 4+ in several helmets that I use but has been ABSOLUTELY impossible to pair Sena with Cardo. I've read the entire manuals of both brands; did exactly what they say about how to pairing them but I wasn't able to do it.... Any of you have any idea about how to do it? MANY Thanks in advance !
I just purchased these for my wife and I, we each ride our own bikes. After 4 days of riding we are disappointed. A bunch of static, to the point I have had to power off a few times. DMC mode between us is off limits, static so bad just sitting in the parking lot. So we are running in Bluetooth mode, as long as we are not moving the static is minimal, and we can hear each other. I will say that when there isn’t static I love that I can hear her and she can hear me without yelling into our mics. Any suggestions on how to fix the static issue?
I wish y’all can update the system for people with hearing loss. I can barely hear anything and paying 100 bucks for 45mm speakers just seems a little ridiculous to me.

Yes, it needs to be hands free like Apple AirPod Pro’s and Hey Siri Direction to or Hey Siri Listen to 93.9 U93 and so on..”No button pushing” and no distractions while riding my motorcycle!
Something that needs to be added: a command to find out the damn time while riding. Currently riding north and guesstimating the time based off my shadow.
I have a Neotech 1 and a Shoei J Cruise. When installing both helmets have a felt like cloth over the ear pockets that I had stuck my Sena speakers on. Can I do the same with the Cardo or should I remove and use the velcro stickers?
Hi, Usually, in Shoei, you have cavities designed for speakers, but if you find a way that is more comfortable for you and that you hear the speakers the way they position, then perfect.
Can you pair the set with wireless headphones? I have a really shitty Bell helmet with terrible wind noise at pretty much any speed so I use earplugs which means my Cardo system is full volume and the sound quality doesnt really come through properly with the earplugs. If i could get some good wireless buds to act as plugs and hear my music it would be great.
I can't get the Packtalk Bold to speed dial by voice command. The Apple app has places to enter four phone numbers. Is the starred number in the app the speed dial number? Or does it get entered somewhere else?

In bluetooth connecting, just wondering why we press phone button (Red/Blue light) after we have opened the channel with the pairing button (Red 1 or 2 seconds) after already being connected (Red 5 seonds). I would love a priority pairing or auto memory connection at some stage.

How can you set up a "Spoken Status Announcements Volume Level."? Default level is very low as you can't hear announcements past 100 km/h with or w/o air plugs :( There was an "undocumented feature" with Cardo Scala Rider Q1 - Q3 (press the “IC” and “MM” buttons simultaneously for about five seconds), but I can't find anything regarding PACKTALK BOLD...
Packtalk volume levels are controlled individually - each for every function. For example, while playing music the volume change will only apply to music and will be automatically stored in the system memory when you come back to play music next time. Same goes for announcements. while not in music/radio/phone call modes the volume control will only change system announcements. We're working on a separate video tutorial to go over these in more length.
Question: When BlueTooth with SatNav, why does the Cardo need to be informed it's a GPS (using the roller), why isn't simply pairing with the BT enough?

The biggest concern I have is the small size of the buttons. Clearly not designed for us ATGATT folks who always where leather gloves. I know the voice command should lessen the need for buttons, but my voice controlled Garmin GPS still has occasions where I need to use the touchscreen.

I bought 3 Talkpack Bold and can barely get these to connect. My riding friends complain about how much time it takes to connect! Even though i did all of the updates i still can't get the "Hey CARDO" voice activation to work. Cardo does not answer emails or phone! These are expensive AF and barely work. They definitely don't work like shown on this video!

I have the Cardo Scala Rider Packtalk Dio intercoms. While taking a trip in rainy weather, the rigid microphone got wet and stopped working. I can't find any distribuidor here in Argentina that sells that rigid microphone separately. Would it be posible for you to send it to me?
Does any have any trouble syncing up to more than one Bluetooth device. this product works great but its not at all easy to use. The usability is quite awful. It doesn't work at all like it does for the gentlemen in the video.
Agree, it doesn’t always pick up the voice commands so readily and I think its processor is slow and so it can clog up if you ask it to do stuff one after the other too quickly, its also a little complicated when syncing it to a Gs with TFT and separate sat nav - lets just say you have to make some Bluetooth pairing choices as a result. I also find my British voice is so receptive to hey cardo! Hmmm.

@@dragsam7 Hi, currently we don't have the USB cable for sale. For charging or updating purposes you can use any original cellphone or GPS cable that fits. regarding the logo fading, there shouldn't be any problem so you can ride free of worries.

I'm proud owner of Packtalk Bold. It is great, but one issue makes it uncomfortable to use. My iPhone is set to use Siri in Russian (all other menus are in English). Cardo is set fully in English (because Cardo's Russian sucks, sorry for that). Problem is: in such combination 'Privet Siri' does not work. Only if I set my Bold's menu to Russian 'Privet Siri' activates Siri in my iPhone. Is there a way to call Siri in Russian, while Bold is set to English?

I have bought 4 new units, should I not get some support.My Packtalk bold will not respond to my voice commands yet when I had it turned on and in front of my computer and the tutorial was running it responded to the man in this video, it turned music on off etc....Please can you respond to one of my many many questions

I just switched from Sena but I'm having trouble getting the voice command to operate properly. I upgraded the firmware so thats not the issue. Help b4 i put the Sena units back in my helmets and take these back. 1 PackTalk Bold & 1 SMARTH for my HJC RPHA 11 PRO. I was so excited but now.... .

Bought Cardo PackTalkBold; upgraded firmware and Cardo should do a better job. They took some bugs off the windshield but in return dropped some new ones ! Is anyone of you able to do a proper job ??? "Hey Cardo, Battery status ! Cardo's answer: Battery status SON" Question : What does "SON" mean ??? I have a cardo pactalk paired with my I phone 12. When I get an incoming call the phone itself rings but I cannot hear it ring through the pactalk. I press the button on the pactalk and can speak and hear the other person fine it’s just when somebody rings you don’t always know they have rung because no ring tone through the unit. Also saying answer and ignore does not work I have to press the button on the unit. Any ideas please

I bought the freecom 4+ works fine with music and directions however if I make a phone call that’s it I have to stop switch off and back on for it to reconnect

Great tutorial. I have a Cardo SHO-1 on my XR1100 but looking to buy a Mesh unit for my Shoei NXR and this looks to fit the bill perfectly. I do have a question that seems to remain unanswered......when a call comes in and is answered how do I keep the Samsung S10+ screen from coming on..? Ideally I would like the 'ok Google' commands to function with the screen locked as I have encountered problems with the phone in my pocket calling random people which is obviously a problem.

Hi Larry, Unfortunately there is no good way to pair Cardo with both BMW TFT and Garmin same time :( Best that worked for me and some others: pair phone to both TFT and Garmin (so you can use SmartLink and Connected apps, then choose what you like to use as only device for calls and music, I prefer TFT as its easier (for me) to navigate contacts and music content by use of “wonder wheel” on the go, if you decide to go that direction then pair your Cardo to TFT, if you need to have navigation announcements then use Garmin, do not attempt to pair to both and do not connect Cardo directly to your phone as then all will fail to work. Additionally: by this setup you will lose some button functions on your Cardo like: play/stop/next and some more probably, VOL and intercom will work fine, Im still awaiting reply from Cardo, sent weeks ago about issue with music share to passenger, but probably will never get any :( So we users are left on our own and looks like Cardo replies only on “positive” comments Take care, stay safe

I'm looking into motovlogging and want to stay away from Sena if possible. I've seen several good Cardo videos but not one mentions how to connect a Cardo unit to a camera for recording communications to a camera such as a GoPro. I want to motovlog so this feature is a must. But my research has led me to Cardo as the best communication unit. Is this possible and if so how?

When you say 15 riders talking intercom...Does that mean direct vox talk ie ALL LIVE no push to talk buttons.Everyone can hear everyone ? @@BushPrep I can’t say for that person but I am upgrading to a cardo packtalk bold from a sena and my main reason is that the sena 50s sometimes has issues with voice commands and even sometimes all of a sudden switches to radio with no input on the device. As well as I’m on my 2nd set of speakers from sena in a year period both sets have failed and there’s no support for it.
he was so damn happy with himself when he started doing the voice command stuff haha.
I think the voice recognition is tuned to the guy in the video. I have trouble getting it to respond, or to properly understand my voice commands, but it got all of his 100% while I watched this video! 😃

I've had the packtalk bold duo for a few weeks now .I got it because my wife and I ride an extremely loud Harley and we couldn't hear each other talk even screaming in each others ears while stopped at the lights. With the cardos we can carry on a normal conversation and hear each other quite clearly at the lights or screaming down the freeway . Thanks Cardo our rides are so much more fun now.

@@WynZillA make sure your speakers are in the right position. I also use a modular helmet. I run my mic on the low to keep wind noise down and volume on high setting then you can adjust your volume on your pack itself.
I’m a great ad for Cardo. Always tellin’ people ditch the loud irritating bike speakers. Go Bluetooth. Go Cardo. One friend has Sena and regrets.

A four button interface on such a complex device results in nonintuitive button combinations. This good video helped me create a laminated cheat sheet for the functions I'll use. There's no way I'll remember how to connect non-PackTalk devices a month from now, and anything I carry needs to be durable and waterproof.
I wish the quick start guide was organized by task. Bold heading describing what the user wants to do. Example: "Power ON", then describe what button(s) to press and for how long, with a third column describing the blinky light status and any voice confirmations provided by the intercom.
The quick guide lists a few of the voice commands that the intercom understands. I'd like to see the complete list. My PackTalk Bold understands me better if I speak softly so there's probably distortion at my normal speaking level.

I didn't think to look in the Settings on the Cardo Connect app to find the list of voice commands and the online version of the Pocket Guide. I'm not sure, but the online version of the Pocket Guide seems more intuitive than the printed version. It's good enough that I don't need to make the laminated card based on the notes I made while watching this video.
The voice commands are a good idea but speaker independent voice recognition is a tough problem. For me, on the PackTalk Bold, it's inconsistent enough that I prefer the buttons, even though the buttons require me to remember which random button to press for each situation.
I'm also noticing many flaky behaviors with the app controlling the intercom over Bluetooth, but I haven't been able to upgrade the intercom firmware because I don't have a Windows or Mac computer, so maybe that's what's causing the problems. It would be great if I could ship the intercom to Cardo with a $5 bill to pay return shipping and you guys would upgrade the firmware for me.
I'm impressed with the sound quality and the ability to answer phone calls while riding. The caller was very intelligible when riding at 50 MPH with a full face helmet, and he reported only minimal wind noise on his end. Nicely done! I almost never ride with anyone so most of my motivation/justification for buying the intercom was to get voice navigation instructions from my cell phone or GPS. The Android cell phone running OSMand+ worked very well with the intercom system. That integration honestly couldn't be better so far. The only issue was the routing preferences of the OSMand+ app. Even with me setting routing preferences, it seems determined to route me along the least scenic routes. I'm still working on that.
Even though I don't like listening to music while I ride, I'm tempted to put some MP3s on my phone and give it a try.

Regarding the voice commands,
Can you adjust the microphone sensitivity slider in the Cardo Connect app?
Can you recheck the installation and confirm that the mic is directed to your mouth?
Can you check the language settings in the Cardo Connect app (English UK/English US)?
Please note that the voice commands must be pronounced exactly as they appear in the Pocket guide and might take some practice at first.
Regarding the firmware update, unfortunately, it is not possible to ship to us for an update.

Nice video but you guys need to put out some more information regarding setups like cardophonegpscardo. Most GPS units today require a phone pairing, for data transfer and they also have call and media streaming functions, just like the Cardo, so if you pair them like I said above, the GPS and the Cardo will "fight" for media/phone audio and this leads to some features not working correctly, not working at all or to very unstable pairings that keep disconnecting. Example: if my GPS "gets" the phone audio connection than the Cardo won't so I can't use the remote control app, it doesn't see the Cardo. As soon as I prevent my GPS from receiving the phone audio connection, the cardo gets it and then everything is smooth sailing. Now, I am not saying these are bugs, I have a vague feeling that these are related to how the BT protocol works but still, ppl should know about them so they can have a smooth experience

We are looking at purchasing the Packtalk Bold DUO, as we just sold our 30K duals. We have heard really good things about the PackTalk BOLD. Hopefully we will find a good deal and when we get them they will be as good as all of the reviews I have read online and then I will try and get my groups to change their Sena comms to Cardo too.

Just got a PackTalk Bold yesterday, loving it!!
As some have mentioned, the NEW Packtalk Bold and Slim have JBL speakers that sound great. Sound MUCH better than the Sena. If you are reading the text, whoever wrote out the text got something wrong... it;s Dynamic MESH, NOT Dynamiic mAsh... his accent sounds like mash, but it IS MESH.
My wife and I bought the packtalks from the local Cycle Gear, but they had just ONE Bold and ONE Slim, so I got the Slim and she got the Bold and we got the selections right. We both love our new systems and they automatically connect every time. (We have had them a couple of months.) We have not had the chance to use them with other brands in Bluetooth, but we bought these mainly to stay connected when we ride together. We each have our own bikes, and sometimes get separated, but so far up to about a half mile there was no problem with connection. I WILL SAY if you have a lotta wind hitting your mic it will affect you. At high speed we have to raise our voices, and a lot at 75 or 80! But we usually take back roads and are 65 or under most of the time and they are clear as a bell for the most part. We both have 3/4 helmets (Mine is Z1R with the Slim and hers is Sedici with the Bold). Of course the mic is sensitive enough that she tells me to turn my dang fairing stereo system off or way down cuz it sounds bad through the mic. heh But the FM radio and phone music pairing sound great.
Taking a call works great and you can call a preset primary number with the "Hey Cardo Speed Dial" command or to have more flexibility we use the "Ok Google" on the Android phones. ;-) (Much better than Apple! heh heh heh) Overall, we love the Packtalks and they are worth every penny!

The very good and multifunctional device. I've got the Bold set for two years. After this period I can say, that when you ride, it is not so easy to control it. I always have to repeat commands, sometimes many times, although I have the mic almost into my mouth, because the voice recognition is not as perfect as it is shown on the video. The second issue is too complicated way of steering it with this all functions with combinations of buttons and times you have to press them. If you don't use it very frequently, you just don't remember it. I think, that it should be much easier and intuitive to operate with such a device, especially that you ride on a motorbike and you should have your hands on handlebars.

@@CardoSystemsGlobalHi. Thanks for the advice. I'had set the sensitivity to full and the microphone is always very close to my mouth. But that didn't change anything. I still have to speak very loudly and to repeat commands. After one of the updates, I had a problem with voice recognition. Unfortunately, I did not get any effective advice from Cardo's support, except that one, that I probably pronounce the commands incorrectly. The software reinstallation had helped.
At the 14:00 mark after connecting to a Sena you can't go back to DMC mode unless you press the intercom button to disconnect from the Sena. Then go to DMC, then press the intercom button again to bring it all home.
Love my bold & just got the slim for my wife’s helmet. Keep up the great innovations leading the way!!!
Just got one of these today. Great device. Gets plenty loud and I can hear it on the highway
I just got mine in the mail a week ago unfortunately they wouldn’t work in my Gmax MD-01 but I decided to “install” speaker pockets. Also one downside first time I tried to ride with it on my helmet I walked outside and it wasn’t even 2 minutes in 83F that the adhesive just gave up the Cardo fell off my helmet and so did the mic I followed the instructions to put it on to the letter but 3M is just trash I just bought some trim brite trim adhesive and no more problems.

Hello, I have an AGV X3000 and a Bell Bullit and seriusly, after web information, watching videos and writing to AGV and Cardo companies still can't Install this device on my helmets, both have a leather tab that will not let me pass the cables from outside to inside, help me please.
It would be nice to have a voice command to scan for FM radio stations. Something like “Hey Cardo scan up”, “Hey Cardo scan down”, and “Hey Cardo, stop scan.” The presets are only useful when riding around your home. When traveling they are worthless and the scan function is needed all of the time and is not easy to activate when wearing gloves.
I found the manual radio station scan to be very difficult even without gloves. Pressing the scroll button while scrolling tunes up a station 10% of the time. 90% of the time, the scroll button deactivates the radio. I had to use the Cardo app to set the stations, and it was flaky but at least possible.
@@Liberty4Ever Same here. Scanning for stations is the function I use the most while traveling and yet Cardo made it one of the hardest functions to perform. Just stupid design on their part. I guess their engineers must not actually travel using their products.
The NATURAL VOICE OPERATION does not work for me! It could be the noise compromising it or my accent. ☹

I bought palktalk bold duo about 9 months ago, but have never been able to get full volume music on the second unit .
I originally thought it was because I was sharing music , so I did a compete factory reset and update .This did not improve the situation.
I have checked an adjusted volumes on both phones settings and cardo app. When I ride solo not an issue , but disappointed that my wife cannot listen to her
spotify at the same level that I enjoy. Any advice would be welcome.
Hei Cardo! I have one question please... Got 2 Boxes of cardo duo PacTalk Bold.. one for my BMW GS one for my friends XR1000. We both can pair the group of for riders (me and him and relative wife) but when we talk eachother via phone (i mean a simple phone call not intercom that works great), we are having some very bad underground noise and bad communication. All the tests we made:
1) Using the Cardo connected only to the Mobile phone: Phone calls are great. Music too - Cannot be controlled by the BMW menu. Phone calls are clear and no bkgd noise.
2) Connecting Phone on bluetooth channel1 and BMW on bluetooth channel 2 - phone also connected to BMW bluetooth: Can use BMW menu for music, phone and apps. Phone calls audio quality very bad.
3) Same as 2 but Cardo connected to BMW, phone connected to BMW, BUT phone disconected from Cardo. Phone calls better but still not as perfect as in case 1.
So the question: Nowhere I found instructions on how to proceed if you have to connect a Bike to cardo. BMW handles 2 helmets and the phone and then re-transmit to Cardo (i assumed from tests made). Could somebody be so nice to tell us how to proceed in this case, which channel to use with what, and what has to be connected in the final scenario and what can be disconnected?

I'm really having trouble getting my second bold to connect to music from the prime headset. Any help appreciated. I have updated the software.
I just purchased these for my wife and I, we each ride our own bikes. After 4 days of riding we are disappointed. A bunch of static, to the point I have had to power off a few times. DMC mode between us is off limits, static so bad just sitting in the parking lot. So we are running in Bluetooth mode, as long as we are not moving the static is minimal, and we can hear each other. I will say that when there isn’t static I love that I can hear her and she can hear me without yelling into our mics. Any suggestions on how to fix the static issue?
I wish y’all can update the system for people with hearing loss. I can barely hear anything and paying 100 bucks for 45mm speakers just seems a little ridiculous to me.

I have a Neotech 1 and a Shoei J Cruise. When installing both helmets have a felt like cloth over the ear pockets that I had stuck my Sena speakers on. Can I do the same with the Cardo or should I remove and use the velcro stickers?

Usually, in Shoei, you have cavities designed for speakers, but if you find a way that is more comfortable for you and that you hear the speakers the way they position, then perfect.
Can you pair the set with wireless headphones? I have a really shitty Bell helmet with terrible wind noise at pretty much any speed so I use earplugs which means my Cardo system is full volume and the sound quality doesnt really come through properly with the earplugs.
If i could get some good wireless buds to act as plugs and hear my music it would be great.

I can't get the Packtalk Bold to speed dial by voice command. The Apple app has places to enter four phone numbers. Is the starred number in the app the speed dial number? Or does it get entered somewhere else?

In bluetooth connecting, just wondering why we press phone button (Red/Blue light) after we have opened the channel with the pairing button (Red 1 or 2 seconds) after already being connected (Red 5 seonds). I would love a priority pairing or auto memory connection at some stage.

You press the phone button again after the initial press if you wish to connect a 2nd phone or a GPS to channel B. If you wish to connect a single phone, there's no need for another press on the phone button.

How can you set up a "Spoken Status Announcements Volume Level."? Default level is very low as you can't hear announcements past 100 km/h with or w/o air plugs :(
There was an "undocumented feature" with Cardo Scala Rider Q1 - Q3 (press the “IC” and “MM” buttons simultaneously for about five seconds), but I can't find anything regarding PACKTALK BOLD...
Packtalk volume levels are controlled individually - each for every function. For example, while playing music the volume change will only apply to music and will be automatically stored in the system memory when you come back to play music next time. Same goes for announcements. while not in music/radio/phone call modes the volume control will only change system announcements. We're working on a separate video tutorial to go over these in more length.

Question: When BlueTooth with SatNav, why does the Cardo need to be informed it's a GPS (using the roller), why isn't simply pairing with the BT enough?

The biggest concern I have is the small size of the buttons. Clearly not designed for us ATGATT folks who always where leather gloves. I know the voice command should lessen the need for buttons, but my voice controlled Garmin GPS still has occasions where I need to use the touchscreen.

I bought 3 Talkpack Bold and can barely get these to connect. My riding friends complain about how much time it takes to connect! Even though i did all of the updates i still can't get the "Hey CARDO" voice activation to work. Cardo does not answer emails or phone! These are expensive AF and barely work. They definitely don't work like shown on this video!
What happens if you get a new helmet can you take the sticky adhesive off?

I have the Cardo Scala Rider Packtalk Dio intercoms. While taking a trip in rainy weather, the rigid microphone got wet and stopped working. I can't find any distribuidor here in Argentina that sells that rigid microphone separately. Would it be posible for you to send it to me?
How do you solve low mic pickup sound? My friends say that they can barely hear me. Very frustrating! Shit system or bad microphones??
Okay so what are you supposed to do if you say "hey cardo" and it never responds. The voice action feature does not work at all on mine.
Does any have any trouble syncing up to more than one Bluetooth device. this product works great but its not at all easy to use. The usability is quite awful. It doesn't work at all like it does for the gentlemen in the video.
Agree, it doesn’t always pick up the voice commands so readily and I think its processor is slow and so it can clog up if you ask it to do stuff one after the other too quickly, its also a little complicated when syncing it to a Gs with TFT and separate sat nav - lets just say you have to make some Bluetooth pairing choices as a result. I also find my British voice is so receptive to hey cardo! Hmmm.

The tools shown in the video were just an illustration, you don't need to use any of them for the installation.
Regarding the wires, in most helmets, you can remove the cheek pads for the installation, and then reinstall them.

@@dragsam7 Hi, currently we don't have the USB cable for sale. For charging or updating purposes you can use any original cellphone or GPS cable that fits.
regarding the logo fading, there shouldn't be any problem so you can ride free of worries.

Hey Cardo...is this model compatible with HJC I70 helmet?
I'm proud owner of Packtalk Bold. It is great, but one issue makes it uncomfortable to use. My iPhone is set to use Siri in Russian (all other menus are in English). Cardo is set fully in English (because Cardo's Russian sucks, sorry for that). Problem is: in such combination 'Privet Siri' does not work. Only if I set my Bold's menu to Russian 'Privet Siri' activates Siri in my iPhone. Is there a way to call Siri in Russian, while Bold is set to English?

I have bought 4 new units, should I not get some support.My Packtalk bold will not respond to my voice commands yet when I had it turned on and in front of my computer and the tutorial was running it responded to the man in this video, it turned music on off etc....Please can you respond to one of my many many questions

I have the same problem - this guys voice is very receptive to the packtalk bold ... i fear its about your British ? Accent as I have a similar problem- my fake US accent seems to help - how ironic!
Also having the same issue. Shame I can't put on a fake US accent either so nothing gets the slim to work. Support is next to useless

When will there be a new product with USB C and Bluetooth 5? Unfortunately, you are not moving forward, other companies have already introduced the above-mentioned technologies to their products. I have a cardo pactalk paired with my I phone 12. When I get an incoming call the phone itself rings but I cannot hear it ring through the pactalk. I press the button on the pactalk and can speak and hear the other person fine it’s just when somebody rings you don’t always know they have rung because no ring tone through the unit. Also saying answer and ignore does not work I have to press the button on the unit. Any ideas please

Please check that all the volume sliders in the Cardo Connect app are not at the minimum. You can also try to raise the volume with the scrolling wheel the next time you receive a phone call.

I bought the freecom 4+ works fine with music and directions however if I make a phone call that’s it I have to stop switch off and back on for it to reconnect

Great tutorial. I have a Cardo SHO-1 on my XR1100 but looking to buy a Mesh unit for my Shoei NXR and this looks to fit the bill perfectly. I do have a question that seems to remain unanswered......when a call comes in and is answered how do I keep the Samsung S10+ screen from coming on..? Ideally I would like the 'ok Google' commands to function with the screen locked as I have encountered problems with the phone in my pocket calling random people which is obviously a problem.

Unfortunately there is no good way to pair Cardo with both BMW TFT and Garmin same time :( Best that worked for me and some others: pair phone to both TFT and Garmin (so you can use SmartLink and Connected apps, then choose what you like to use as only device for calls and music, I prefer TFT as its easier (for me) to navigate contacts and music content by use of “wonder wheel” on the go, if you decide to go that direction then pair your Cardo to TFT, if you need to have navigation announcements then use Garmin, do not attempt to pair to both and do not connect Cardo directly to your phone as then all will fail to work.
Additionally: by this setup you will lose some button functions on your Cardo like: play/stop/next and some more probably, VOL and intercom will work fine, Im still awaiting reply from Cardo, sent weeks ago about issue with music share to passenger, but probably will never get any :( So we users are left on our own and looks like Cardo replies only on “positive” comments

I'm looking into motovlogging and want to stay away from Sena if possible. I've seen several good Cardo videos but not one mentions how to connect a Cardo unit to a camera for recording communications to a camera such as a GoPro. I want to motovlog so this feature is a must. But my research has led me to Cardo as the best communication unit. Is this possible and if so how?

When you say 15 riders talking intercom...Does that mean direct vox talk ie ALL LIVE no push to talk buttons.Everyone can hear everyone ? Im looking at purchasing a set of 3 to comunicate with my children while they are riding the tracks. Like a direct 3 way training session. Can this work so all 3 riders can hear and speak at the same time .No button pressing to communicate ?
