Imagine if some triad/Yakuza came at the boys instead of some production studio claiming it... Cause I honestly believe this was a money laundering opp for some Asian gang 😂😂
Joe Marshall is San Diego's Samurai "Dirty Harry"; now, that would make for a good crossover. No offense to those "Japanese masters", but Harry Callahan would've been a better mentor: he would've made Joe into the kind of bulldog cop he himself wasn't allowed to be back in the 70's.
Wow, this is arguably one of the GREATEST and most entertaining BAD movies ever made. It is definitely in my top 5 and hope you both get a lot of enjoyment from it. If y'all want a list of a few other all-time "B movies", just let me know.
Hub Cap UPDATES: 12:38, they found the missing driver's side hub cap that was not there when they illegally parked in the crosswalk so they could show LA City Hall, and pointed to the van sitting in a far away neighborhood! 12:49 The hub cap is now missing from the passenger side! They must have stopped in a rough neighborhood. 13:25, hub cap is back! 14:55, hub cap now missing from front passenger side, stay tuned... 15:02, thankfully, hub cap is back on... 15:18, sorry to report that the elusive hub cap is again missing... 15:30, front left hub cap now missing, so we are now down TWO hub caps! 38:24 - BACK! 38:34 - GONE!
Double Toasted reviewed this.. and they burst out laughing SO much. I look forward to these two bawling with laughter at how poorly made this movie is.
If you guys want a little more insight as to why and how this movie is the way it is, there is a good interview of Matt Hannon who played the samurai cop conducted by a few of the guys from Red Letter Media. It's from ten years ago but its definitely worth checking out if you've got the time.
From what I read the director took it completely seriously and yes he was the one who edited the movie and recorded the voices. Also I'm surprised Formal never heard of Samurai Cop despite being a connoisseur of bad movies. It's in the pantheon of Great Bad movies.
It's odd that "Samuri Cop," is being "discovered," because I have watched this movie at least 500 times. The only caveat is that I have never watched it once without a Joe Bob Briggs comedy commentary track.
Off topic: If you have the time in your schedule. I HIGHLY recommend you react to the series "Sons of Anarchy"! It's up there with "The Sopranos", "The Wire" and "Breaking Bad" in quality.
Some of the GOAT bad movies are the room, Miami connection and troll 2. All rewatchable. The room has the most boring storyline of all time ON PAPER. The execution is bar shit and it's just one of the most fascinatingly bad movies. Highly recommend the room, it's sort of on top of the mountain but it's not like any other bad movie, there's tons of bad action movies, the room is a drama but you only need to watch a few seconds to know it's something special in a weird way. Ill be at work and a random scene from the room will pop into my head and ill just be trying to brainstorm why they did any of what they did and what was the purpose (underwear conversation in the alley) Miami connection is pretty slept on, it's an amazing bad movie and it has a lot of charm. One of the most unexpectedly intense and funny endings. Troll 2 is just bizarre, it feels like a normal movie at times but then you think about what's happening for a few seconds and are just scratching your head as to what they were thinking when making/writing the movie lmao. Can't go wrong with any of them, Miami connection might be the best to get into it all with but the room is still an alien of a movie
Formal stays crappin on The Sopranos action scenes and I'm sure he feels foolish now knowing these same special effects artists and choreographers were asked by David Chase to help make his magnum opus
When you post the entire reaction because no one is going to strike this pile.
lol big facts!
Imagine if some triad/Yakuza came at the boys instead of some production studio claiming it... Cause I honestly believe this was a money laundering opp for some Asian gang 😂😂
That's rock n' roll, baby! 🎸 🔥
Casablanca. The Godfather. City of God. Samurai Cop. Y’all’s channel has it all!
I hope they watch Caligula next. I wanna see their reaction to old dongs
From City of God, to Godfather... to one of the greatest bad movies ever made. Y'all striking on all cylinders!
From Godfather to this… 😂
I didn't think they'd top Godfather, but here we are! They really did it.
@@KillstormSH this fucking guy! 😆

Have you seen The FP? That's my favorite "bad" movie.
@@FriendRequestReviews I have not seen it. I will definitely check it out👍

The room should be next
The singing at the end the guy on the right did was fire lol matched perfectly and great voice
Going from The Godfather to Samurai Cop is crazy. Y'all crazy 😂
39:13 this is the moment racism ended
No colorism, either.
My man is just proud of his charcoal skin-tone.

MST3K! RiffTrax Live: Samurai Cop, 2017, IMDB 7.6/10
I love this movie so much. The uncensored version is even funnier.
8:26 - Blue van turning... Super Shuttle! I used to drive for them in Seattle 30 years ago!
Thank you for your cervix. I hopped on your services many a times while in the area copping some heroin 🙏
Faithful long time viewer. Love you guys...but this?
Your guys' commentary had me rolling. I went from Ondskan, to Godfather, then THIS! 😅
Hope you enjoyed Ondskan 😁
lol, as long as you had some fun. Don't worry though, a lot of good movies still coming.
@@KillstormSH I had seen it at the indie cinema, but totally forgot about that gem and how much I haaaaated the stepdad.

well, I made it 6 minutes before tapping out.

I'll make comments with the understanding that everything I know about this movie comes from Joe Bob Briggs.

I’ve never seen this movie but I’d heard a lot about it. Great reaction as always and thank you for the entertainment on my day off!
3:46 Gerald Okamura founded "Dragonfest."
Request - Full Metal Jacket. One of the best war movies ever.
Low key comedy. Rifftrax did a good one on this as well.
4:43 Robert Z'Dar was of Lithuanian descent and born in Chicago. He was a working actor.
The police captain and the ponytail beard man are the only real actors in this movie
"Jay, if you could pick one word to describe this movie, what would it be?"
"Pathetic."
-from RedLetterMedia's commentary on this gem of a turd lol

Unfortunately we've both seen SOA, at least 2+ times. Great series.
love your reactions!
I have many requests, but for now I'll settle on 1977s house, for the season
you should react to Key and Peele skit for this movie 😂😂
Hold up, I've seen every Key and Peele skit! Which one is the skit for this movie?

its the movie a jnr school friend saw and then attempted to describe to you. they made THAT version
If you liked this I highly recommend Metal Storm: The destruction of Jared Syn
4:20 That's Gerald Okamura.
"Naw, he really look like Sylvester Stallone."
He actually quit a job as Stallone's bodyguard to take a shot at acting.
He shouldn't have quit his day job

You guys mentioned a recent reaction for a movie that wasn't so great. It was the Godfather, wasn't it?
Next, Troll 2
Not far off 😂🤣
4:28 That's Cameron. She was the star in "Deepthroat II." 1987. Not "Deepthroat Part II," 1974.
Be Better y’all. 🤦🏽♂️, o yea and Kevin 🖕🏼😁.

Wow, the captions on this movie are complete shit right out of the gate. I've seen this movie a few times, but always without them.
Lmao, they said "samurai" and the captions were written as "some would I".
😂 yeah that shit was funny. Luckily, we watch without subtitles, but turn them on to record the movie/show for syncing purposes.
Who the fuck gave Hobo With A Shotgun a half star?
Not a mask, he was in a bunch of movies without the beard , he had a movie about the man with the jaw l,,, fro real ..
