Samurai Cop, Miami Connection, Fateful Findings, The Room, Birdemic, Manos...I get more joy from these terrible films than 90% of what's on my streaming services.
They should watch Undefeatable. That's up there with these movies. So bad, it's funny. And if you guys haven't watched it or never heard of it, please check it out.
I love the stories behind the filming of this movie. The chief laughing after the kiss on his head was unscripted. The reaction shots of Mark Frazer making funny faces was just the director going to him and telling him to make reaction faces. Matt Hannon cut his hair when he thought filming was done, but the director needed him to film some ""pick up"" shots, and absolutely lost it. That's why his hair goes back and forth from being natural to being a wig. The scene where Hannon fights, and extends his pinkies and pointer fingers, he admits he was so annoyed with the filming that he just did that.
Emily better hope that I never win the lottery, 'cause if I do, I'm getting Patreon & she's watching sooo much crap it isn't even funny just wait til she sees Samurai Cop 2 with Tommy Waseau!
Easily the best thing about this movie is Mark Frazer as Frank. Guy knew what kind of movie he was in and decided to have fun with it and I can’t knock that.
My favorite character in this movie is the black guy. I just love his reactions, plus he is the only one who can deliver a joke, even if the joke itself is terrible. My second-favorite character is the lion.
I absolutely adore you both and the love and happiness you found in each other. And when you both said “skinny Pete” I died. Yaw are too cute. I love your content. So keep it warm 😂
Just when I thought this reaction couldn't get any better... WIGS! I'm actually friends with Matt Hannon. Here are a few titbits: 1) Almost two years passed, during which Matt cut his hair. 2) Matthew, as to what Matt is on, when I met him in Spain, we had to ship him over very precise dietary requirements. He keeps a really strict regimen. 3) Matt was actually traumatised when the film became notorious. He hadn't even told friends or family it existed. And when he heard of the other Hannon's death, he changed his name to Mathew Karedas. He finally understood the love at our Festival in Spain, where I met him, and now he often takes the movie on tour and makes jokes Rifftrax style over the movie itself. 4) He was previously a bodyguard, for Tom Hanks, Arnie, and, to a much greater extent, Sly. He thought it stupid to play a Samurai, as his fighting technique was to end the fight ASAP with as few moves as possible. But, as he said to me, "I got to be an action hero without having to blow anybody. Not many actors can say that". 5) One day, he was looking out for Sly while in Sly's backyard. Sly sat down at a table and asked Matt to join him. Sly started writing in a pad, and, 8 hours later, he finished the first draft for Rocky V. Matt was the first person to read it. 6) On our last night hanging out before he went back to LA (our encounters since have been on the phone), he told me the story of what happened to him after shooting. I was doubled over and could hardly breathe from laughing so hard. I have been pestering him to let me adapt the story into a script, so watch this space.
Samurai Cop and The Room are amazing because the directors thought they were making "art". As soon as they became self aware they sucked. Which is why Samurai Cop 2 blows a chimp... the "bad movie" is only fun when its sincere.
Matt told me that Tommy (who had never seen the first SC), put it to him and the director that he should win the final fight and become the Samurai Cop. I believe they actually filmed it (or pretended to) to shut Tommy up, but, of course, they never used it. Blows my mind as I'm writing this to think I'm actually friends with both Matt and Greg Sestero.
Have you folks ever played an RPG called "It Came From the Late, Late Show?" It's an RPG where you, as the players, play actors in a bad, C-level movie like Samurai Cop, or Plan 9 From Outer Space. Please find it. Play it. You will absolutely love it, if you've never played it before. Anyway, we made a sequel to Samurai Cop, before there was a real Samurai Cop 2. I do not think we could've possibly made the dialogue worse than it was in this movie, or its actual sequel. And we tried. The chief still couldn't get the big club out of his ass, no matter how much we tried to get it out of there. We also had Ninja Cops and Space Cops in our group. It was amazing.
Holy crap I put this on last night to fall asleep to! Would love to see you guys take on a Reb Brown movie. The original Captain America from the 70's and just a slab of American shredded beef. Maybe Space Mutiny or Yor : Hunter from the future?
I've started doing Frank-style reactions to every day situations. Waiting at the post office: 7:35 Finding a fiver down the back of the sofa: 7:55 The guy who over-took me has to stop at a red light: 11:06
I kinda want to know if Pippin just always sleeps there, you move him there when you want to film, or you setting up the tripod lures him over there or you film whenever he goes to bed there or what haha
You said ‘so bad it’s good Mt. Rushmore’, and now I have the image of the faces of YK Kim, Matt Hannon, Tommy Wiseau, and Neil Breen all emblazoned and immortalized on a stone mountain. This must become reality.
The hair sued the producers because they didn't credit him in the end credits. I'm convinced that's the reason for them making a sequel, to try and pay the hairs' settlement.
Looord, this reaction had me in tears from laughing so hard! 😂😂😂 This was a golden example of so bad it's GREAT. The Charcoal black gag had me dying! This movie had it all: race humor, female empowerment, a tough-loving chief who playfully insults his crew, epic masculinity, bad writing, lots of laughs and kick-butt action. The is the best worst action film ever!
Sicario, Hereditary, Midsommar, Everest, This Is the End, Pain & Gain, Running Scared(1986 & 2006), Se7en, Captain Phillips, Smoking Aces, Bad Words, Horrible Bosses 1 & 2, Elysuim, Ghostbusters 1 & 2, The Green Room, Law Abiding Citizen, Prisoners, Fury, Batteries Not Included, Better Off Dead, The Martian, Club Paradise, Wildcats, The Kingdom(2007), Falling Down, Undefeatable, Bloodmoon(Martial Arts), Timecop should be on your guys list.
Oh LOL you got the burger phone LOL because I remember when you guys were watching coming to america, and she wanted the burger phone, and I just now noticed it, it's back there, the burger phone LOL
This film is a rare treat. It almost defies explanation. Often, it seems like a throwback to a decade or two earlier - even though it was made in 91. It's honestly hard for me to guess what the director/producer was really going for with the film. It seems like general incompetence all around. The insight from the RLM interview REALLY helps explain a lot. It is HIGHLY recommended. It's definitely not Remo Williams, but it has some charm to it - perhaps more charm than the previously mentioned Breen movies. I can't tell if the Breen films are trying to be clever and self aware, and I'm not sure if they'd gain or lose points, if they were. However, I like the intensity and the earnestness of Samurai Cop. It seems to be completely unaware that it's headed towards disaster, so it keeps going full throttle to its destination. I want to mention that there was a sequel to this film, and while the first one was totally unaware, the sequel is completely self aware. It knows what the audience wants, and what its supposed to be, and it leans into absurdity. While, it's not written entirely as a comedy, like Naked Gun, it's self satirical. Somehow, it manages to pull it off and know its limitations better than any of the 2000's National Lampoon style X-Movie productions. It even ends up being more like The Room, for reasons that eventually become obvious. I hope you guys cover that one. I will be there, if you do.
The channel Bad Movie bible did a really great documentary about the making of this film recently. They break down all the locations in the chase. Which goes about 200 miles. They even found the shop where the wig was brought. It's fascinating viewing. Didn't know till I saw it that the director did two other American movies prior to this. They're on my list.
Another amazing video guys. And I'm pretty sure I've seen that blonde chick in the helicopter and probably at least half a dozen skin flicks on Cinemax back in the late '80s and early '90s. LoL
Here's a couple movies that, hopefully, fall into the 'so bad it's good' category: Inspector Gadget (1999) The Master of Disguise (2002) The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003) And my pick for best death scene: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)
The police chief actor is trying his best to actually act... Thank god for him. He is apparently the only real actor in this movie. The wig is because for some reason he cut his hair in between filming, so they had to use a wig for the rest of the scenes. Best thing about this movie was his freaking hair, and he cut it in the middle of filming! I think it was because they ran out of budget in the middle of filming, and then resumed filming two years later at which point he had cut his hair (why????!!!!) and then they filmed the rest of the scenes with him wearing a horrific wig! "No one will notice!!" lmao!
Where most people fail in life is that they watch this as a movie. It's not! It's an instruction video on how to be cool! Sadly, especially women seem to miss that fact. xD I sincerely hope someone is working on editing Emily into this movie!!!!! Thanks for uploading! Greetings from Sweden
I had a movie that probably isn't on your radar, wonder if Matthew watched it when he was younger. Disorderlies starring The Fat Boys. It was a guilty pleasure flick of mine.
I was introduced to this by a friend of mine who claimed that his girlfriend played our hero’s love interest in this, and I’ve been giving her crap ever since and asking a lot of questions. To be fair she wasn’t all that bad in it, and owns her own talent agency, so she was not in the sequel, but she was invited:)
“Tiddies and Such!”. Love it 😂😂😂
Robert ZDar...R.I.P/Maniac Cop😢❤️👍🎩
I was JUST coming here to say they need to watch those movies!
This movie's tagline should be "There will be hell toupee" (or possibly "So much action you'll flip your wig")
Samurai Cop, Miami Connection, Fateful Findings, The Room, Birdemic, Manos...I get more joy from these terrible films than 90% of what's on my streaming services.
ANYTHING Neil Breen is transcendent!
Deadly Prey
the Neil Breen marathon hits every 11th of September at my house.
MST3k influenced a generation to appreciate the beauty in the earnestly terrible.
They should watch Undefeatable. That's up there with these movies. So bad, it's funny. And if you guys haven't watched it or never heard of it, please check it out.
Amen

I just kept rewinding to this part! I just died laughing! 😂😂😂 9:45
Emily's overall feelings throughout the different movies.
Plan 9: Boredom
The Room: Annoyance
Birdemic: Confusion
Samurai Cop: Complete Enjoyment.
Emily better hope that I never win the lottery,
'cause if I do, I'm getting Patreon & she's watching sooo much crap it isn't even funny
just wait til she sees Samurai Cop 2 with Tommy Waseau!
25:25 “Did you notice the background was the same in both of those shots?”
“Don’t worry about it.”
*Student becomes the teacher*
"You just keep an eye on the hair." That's the understatement of the century lol
Easily the best thing about this movie is Mark Frazer as Frank. Guy knew what kind of movie he was in and decided to have fun with it and I can’t knock that.
I love that you guys gave this the MST3K treatment 😅 It reminds me of that other great cop classic, Mitchell.
According to google, the budget for Samurai Cop was $7000. I can believe that.
True but according to Legend and a few visible bits of powder under noses half of the budget went on building a snowman
we're finally here folks. it's all led up to this. samurai cop!!! 😅😂
That "Skinny Pete" moment was so in sync, it just shows how much you two were made for one another.👍🤙
Emily quoting Ashleigh's hot mess express line makes me very happy!
My favorite character in this movie is the black guy. I just love his reactions, plus he is the only one who can deliver a joke, even if the joke itself is terrible. My second-favorite character is the lion.
Really? Second favorite character? You've got to be lion.
I absolutely adore you both and the love and happiness you found in each other.
And when you both said “skinny Pete” I died.
Yaw are too cute.
I love your content.
So keep it warm 😂
I'm not sure I could watch the non-Rifftrax version of this. You two are much braver than I.
That fist is named "Nakadate Ippon Ken", a karate specialty. But they dishonored the entire world of martial arts doing this film 😂
Just when I thought this reaction couldn't get any better... WIGS! I'm actually friends with Matt Hannon. Here are a few titbits:
1) Almost two years passed, during which Matt cut his hair.
2) Matthew, as to what Matt is on, when I met him in Spain, we had to ship him over very precise dietary requirements. He keeps a really strict regimen.

I was doubled over and could hardly breathe from laughing so hard. I have been pestering him to let me adapt the story into a script, so watch this space.
Black Gift is gonna be the name of my band
"Death Bed", the bed that kills people.
There is a sequel to this movie and Tommy Wiseau is in it. Oh God, the humanity!
Samurai Cop and The Room are amazing because the directors thought they were making "art". As soon as they became self aware they sucked. Which is why Samurai Cop 2 blows a chimp... the "bad movie" is only fun when its sincere.

"You just keep an eye on his hair". lmao too good.
Classic MST3K or rifftrax flick. Don’t think I don’t see those guys behind you.
RedLetterMedia has a great interview with Mark Hannon about all the madness filming this.
"Here lies Samurai Cop. Shot in the face. His last words were "What are you going to do, shoot me?""

As soon as I saw 1991, I knew that a mullet would appear sooner or later 🤣
I'm sitting here waiting for Yarn Lion. Soon...soon...
13:55 If you guys don’t get one of these lions for your background you’ll only be punishing yourselves.
Holy crap I put this on last night to fall asleep to!
Would love to see you guys take on a Reb Brown movie. The original Captain America from the 70's and just a slab of American shredded beef.
Maybe Space Mutiny or Yor : Hunter from the future?
first time to this channel. This movie is a good time! "undercover cop" is my favorite joke, and this beer will make it all that much better
AHH, BEER! The VIKING FOOD OF THE GODS!
I've started doing Frank-style reactions to every day situations.
Waiting at the post office: 7:35
Finding a fiver down the back of the sofa: 7:55
The guy who over-took me has to stop at a red light: 11:06
Truly a masterpiece of a movie
Low budget schlock that knows it's low budget schlock is a lot of fun. The partner's reactions are hilarious and worth the watch.
They had to spend at least billion dollars to get Robert Z'Dar 😀
He just made Stallone and Russel famous with Tango and Cash in 1989 .
Another Rifftrax classic.
Samurai Cop? Next must be Sergeant Kabukiman.
Did the big bad guy really commit sudoku, more formally known as hibachi?
Regarding the sex scenes: Always remember, he's from the West Coast. So all he knows is CaliFornication!
Yo Pip! Run! This thing gives terrible a whole new meaning...
12:15 "The side cuts of him doing nothing are hilarious!"
And I'm going "Yeah, but if you need somebody shot, he's your man."
12:43 There ya go!
Who needs acting lessons when you know you're this good
I kinda want to know if Pippin just always sleeps there, you move him there when you want to film, or you setting up the tripod lures him over there or you film whenever he goes to bed there or what haha
I love 90s FMV CD games.
It... it's not?
Well, I'll be damned.
You said ‘so bad it’s good Mt. Rushmore’, and now I have the image of the faces of YK Kim, Matt Hannon, Tommy Wiseau, and Neil Breen all emblazoned and immortalized on a stone mountain. This must become reality.
"Do you like what you see?" Oh hell yeah, I like what I see from this reaction, hehehehe
Oh I have been waiting for this one haha. Judging by your reaction to "The Room", I know this will be a classic reaction lol.
I can't believe you didn't recognize Gerald Okamura from Hot Shots Part Dux.
He was in "Big Trouble in Little China" too
I've watched this movie 400 + times. But never once have I watched it without the Joe Bob Briggs comedy commentary track.
Same but it is RiffTrax for me.
A treasure trove of ineptitude, this one. It just keeps giving!
20:29 Oh Z'NOOOO! He's actually as if Alec Baldwin SWALLOWED Steven Segal.
The hair sued the producers because they didn't credit him in the end credits. I'm convinced that's the reason for them making a sequel, to try and pay the hairs' settlement.
Man I miss these kinds of movies.
Looord, this reaction had me in tears from laughing so hard! 😂😂😂 This was a golden example of so bad it's GREAT. The Charcoal black gag had me dying! The RLM interview is great.
that small change for the discussion (you know the one) is why i love you guys.
27:17 What The Ringo Starr is on your head, Matt?!
Vampire Assassin is some next level gold
I've been waiting SOOOOOO long for you guys to cover this movie. It's the best bad movie EVER!!!
I want to turn away but I can't. "Keep it warm" is my new catch phrase.
Thank you for this. The world needs this.
Oh LOL you got the burger phone LOL because I remember when you guys were watching coming to america, and she wanted the burger phone, and I just now noticed it, it's back there, the burger phone LOL

I think he kind of looks like Michael Scott and this is how he imagined Agent Michael Scarn to be. 😂
This film made it into my first (and only) annual B-Movie Festival 🤣
Another amazing video guys. And I'm pretty sure I've seen that blonde chick in the helicopter and probably at least half a dozen skin flicks on Cinemax back in the late '80s and early '90s. LoL
This is legit one of my favorite movies. It's so bad it goes through a shitty vortex of awesome. I'm glad y'all watched it.😂
LOVE THE SKINNY PETE MOMENT (12.00) HAD ME IN CREASES LOL MAY I SUGGEST YOU TRY 'DEAD MEN DONT WEAR PLAID' IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY SEEN IT
That poor guy brought Kung Fu to a gunfight.
The cut to y’all wearing the wigs😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Samurai Cop, I'm impressed! 😂
You two should watch the movie Rubber (2010) and Joe's Apartment (1996).
12:03 Skinny Pete JINX
16:25 Interesting battle cry there, Gerald...
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
Here's a couple movies that, hopefully, fall into the 'so bad it's good' category:
Inspector Gadget (1999)
The Master of Disguise (2002)
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
And my pick for best death scene:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)
Wasn't League of Extraordinary Gentlemen the movie that made Sean Connery decide to give up acting?
thankfully it wasn't ninja cop. As we all know we're to be... against the ninja.
I'll see myself out.
The police chief actor is trying his best to actually act... Thank god for him. He is apparently the only real actor in this movie.
The wig is because for some reason he cut his hair in between filming, so they had to use a wig for the rest of the scenes.

The voice of the waiter was overdubbed by the director himself.
Great movie, great reaction.
The MST3K of this is brutal... lol. Robert Zdar has the largest face i've ever seen.
The Sherpa in that wig is....something LOL
Where most people fail in life is that they watch this as a movie. It's not! It's an instruction video on how to be cool! Sadly, especially women seem to miss that fact. xD
I sincerely hope someone is working on editing Emily into this movie!!!!!
Thanks for uploading! Greetings from Sweden
8:03 - Chekov's Gift
Another great review of this is done by Space Ice. He gives 10 reasons why this movie is so terrible. And it's glorious
We're finally getting back to the Academy Award nominee movies.
Oh, hell yes! I love this movie and the sequel. Please tell me you're gonna react to the sequel as well.
This entire reaction is in and about the song of my people.
You should put Tucker & Dale vs. Evil on your list. Emily will LOVE it!
Oh, we've seen it many times, LOVE that movie!
27:18 NIce wigs!! :D
"Kristen Wiig over here". God damn, you made me piss myself. I'm incontinent now. Totally worth it though.
Neal Breen makes this director look like Cecil B DeMille
I had a movie that probably isn't on your radar, wonder if Matthew watched it when he was younger. Disorderlies starring The Fat Boys. It was a guilty pleasure flick of mine.
This is one of my favorite Rifftrax movies 😂
12:29 that’s what’s called pick up shot.
Just cinematic perfection!
Really enjoyed Emily's reaction to Samurai Cop. It's so amazing how a movie this bad can circle around to being good again.😂
