Bad wire connection, net caught on lure, weeds on motor & lots of boats. That's some challenging night fishing but it paid off. If you only get 1, make it count 👍
That’s pretty much all I use. 60 lb braid to a 40 lb floro leader get the fire trout! Watch the rod and vary your speed to get the best action. Stick with it and you will find them. It takes time. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told my wife to punch me in the face if I ever mention Willow again. Buuuut in the words of the departed Willow master “you’re never gonna catch it if you don’t keep chasing it”
I caught my pb, 36.5 pounds at 930 am. I fish at night during the summer be a in Vegas, the sun is just about 1/4 mile away and it’s very much hot during the day. Trolling speed, watch your rod tip for the best action. It will very greatly from one place to 500 feet from where you were 10 minutes ago. That and up river or down. The rod will tell you when you’re at the right speed.

They hide in many spots. The more time you spend there the more spots you find they like
