I agree it is super straight and should have been included in the video. However I disagree about feeling bad in hand; its totally fine, there are tons of worst discs.
I putt with these and they're so freaking straight. I'd sometimes forget myself and throw it on a hyzer, and the disc just flies straight, but tilted on that hyzer angle.
@@eoghana315 I agree, it's definitely made with the flight in mind, not very well designed for powerthrowing, it feels like the plastic warps when it get's that much torque on it. It's probably the best disc for short, low celing airbounces ever made, and if you want to run a 100-130ft putt and still have it sit down in the circle, it's also a go to for me. But not off the tee, unless it's a very short hole.
Really great video! Would have loved to see some Latitude 64 putters in there. I bag an Opto Pure for the dead straight shot. So many putters and plastics out there tho….this video could easily be 4 hours long 😂 Nice job and great info!
Would have loooved to see the Loft Hydrogen in premium plastic in this lineup! My first "frozen rope" disc. I love my glitches but they can go too far for me at times, especially the gyro box eclipse one.
Few molds missing that would be good to test: Westside’s Crown, Maiden, and Shield Lat64 Pure or Keystone Loft Hydrogen Streamline Pilot Dynamic Warden
My favorite is the Latitude 64 Keystone. Beat in opto has that beautiful flip to flat straight flight, my opto-x flies straight out of the hand. A beat medium was my first real turn over disc.
I randomly grabbed a Sensei in 2020 off the shelf. Immediately I liked. Haven't looked back since, it's super dependable in Active Premium. Senseis don't really care about headwind, which I love. They just slow down, but they don't flip. Dependability! I also have a Glitch, and it's so fun. But compared to the Sensei, it's so flukey and vulnerable to wind.
The Innova DX Dart would be a good one in this video. It’s my favorite throwing putter; lots of glide, flies straight, and reliable. I picked it because it fit my hand so well (the Loft Hydrogen and the Glitch are hard for me to hold-small hands!) and then discovered its other qualities.
I use a Reko as my straight throwing putter, but in K1 Soft instead of K1 Line. I'm having trouble trying to find a disc that flys straight and then fades but this video gave me a couple of new options to try. Thanks!
Brilliant as ever. (Don't knock ya old vids) Ever tried any of New Zealand's RPM discs... I'd really like to see what u think (I've seen them pop up in a few places... usually a Kotare stunning them with its full side of beef... although I haven't personally seen an RPM KIWI ... I have a Kotare 1R that I can throw 45deg Anhyzer into wind and have it fight back over flat.... (I suspect the KIWI may be the 1st disk I manage to land upside down on its Beef Roll. (The Kotare 1R was known to be more beef than a herd of cattle... Mine includes the farm and lake district to boot... I call heem Mr Broken. Oh and if you try to pronounce the RPM names... So Kotare is not Ko Tarrr its more Koh Tah re (with that an ending e sounding a bit like the end of like Meh) Once you get the hang of that you can try pronouncing.... I understand that its difficult to have each of these in the ideal plastics but its disingenuous to use Eclipse Glow 2.0 for these comparisons. My Neutron & Plasma Proxies are laser straight when new and beat into hyzer flip arrows that go well with my natural slight hyzer release. The most controllable disc I own. I have the Watt & Glitch but the Proxy is more versatile imo
I've also found some mildly under stable putters in lighter weights that if you have enough arm speed you basically cancel out the negative turn. Same for light weight drivers too
Recommend listing the weights as well! I think a few grams can make a pretty big difference in terms of stability, especially when throwing putters hard. That being said, the top picks look really good. I personally have a Penny Putter in glow plastic at 173g that I use for putting and all kinds of upshots, but I don't have a dedicated "throwing putter", yet...
The way you throw these discs determines a lot about their flight. You are torqueing into the discs on hyzer angle and trying to flip them all up. This causes a lot of straighter discs to appear "overstable".
How far did you throw the furthest straight mids? I’d be interested to hear the distance difference between them and the Watt. For me I have just 5-10 meters between Watt and Hex.
This is a difficult category as putters often become understable as they break in. I feel the Luna is the straightest although it is a bit understable so needs a slight hyzer flip
I love video I believe it's very important to have straight putter in your bag and that's why use a DD Warden classic for my straight throwing putter. Thanks again love your content keep up the good work.
Lots of people throw and love the Sensei here in Finland. It's a gem among the all the dodgy MIC plastic. Would've been nice to see the Fission putters in this comparison, 150 class Envy really blew my mind when I threw it the first time. I throw Berg and Fission Envy for my straight shots. In a hyzerflip test like yours they would come across as overstable, but both go on a rope when thrown hard and flat. Watt's beefier brother Ohm is the same, always holds a hyzer but rides a flat shot with a super late fade. My favourite Innova throwing putter Star Dart is also very similar but with more glide.
I bag the Watt as my main straight throwing putter. I also bag a Glitch, but that’s for long bids at the basket & long putts. I also have a slightly overstable Luna that I use often.
I bag 3 of the discs you tested and 2 of them were in your top 5. I putt with 2 EXO Soft Logics inside the circle. I putt with the Lux-Vaper Logic in circle 2. I putt with the Watt from the edge of circle 2 till around 85 feet. After 85 feet till around 150 I'm throwing either the Lux-Vaper Logic or Watt depending on distance and elevation.
Those release angles didn’t look to be perfectly consistent. I would have liked a freeze from or some kind of indicator to show what the release angle is for each throw.
A couple of months ago I was playing a round with my friends when I spotted a disc just lying in plain sight on the middle of the fairway. Quite unusual. It was marked with a name and a number so I rang up the owner and he said “Meh, just keep it!”. It’s an amazing putter! My friend is using it currently as I’m working with the Takapu I got from Six Sided mystery pack, they seem to fly very simillarly. Oh and happy holidays!
That's the reason why i throw Sensei. I bag couple of different worn out state base plastic ones and premium for little fade. For little headwind those are too understable and for that i got Prodiscus Jokeri
Slightly beat in…I found my Love putter in premium plastic (taffy) from Jester to go extremely straight yesterday. No fade or turn all the way to the ground. It used to have a slight fade, but now it’s the straightest putter I have ever bagged.
Me too. Well it will hold whatever line I happen to release it on. If I manage to throw it flat it will laser. Goes pretty far too. If I take the “one disc only” challenge, it’s always the Dart.
pure, warden, keystone, p1, p2, yeti, classic aviar, classic roc, challenger ss, fierce, focus, swan 2. a lot of the molds i mentioned are pretty dang old and i know im missing some.
The Premium Sensei is absolute money, most thrown disc in my bag. Thanks for proving how great it is! @DiscmaniaGolfDiscs - can we please get an S-Line Sensei?
I have to say I'm super surprised of your results. With the mint disc bullet, it flies like a straight arrow in. Sits down like a helicopter when I throw it.
Proxy(eclipse) and Watt are so straight for me I don’t feel the need to try anything else but loved the video regardless. Very interested in the Narwhal though! 👀
Perfect disc for this would be Innova Star Stud. It has been my go to thrower for years. They dont sell it anymore anywhere even if it says in innova sites that it is in their collection. Definitely you should try that one out.
I'm an Aviar thrower. For the longest time I threw my putting putter (sub-100' distances) which is a DX Classic Aviar or Aviar P&A, and eventually an R-Pro Aviar. Now I tend to alternate between the Aviar3 and Animal as my straight flying putter, but don't limit my distances to just short upshots with them. I'll drive them off some tees.
I've been throwing pures for a long time for straight shots. I once threw one about 600 feet on a rope at whistlers bend top of the world. I think it's 150 to 200 feet drop in elevation. It never moved off the line, pretty dang straight
Surprised the Glitch is #5! It’s my straightest putter, but it’s a little too large for my hand. I like the Dart because it fits my grip better. I’ll try a Sensei at a store and see how it feels.
My Streamline Pilot in base plastic has been my straight putter for 2 years until I found the Watt in premium plastic recently. I threw my 9 speed Escape on a downhill drive and it went around 375 feet. My Watt went straight as a laser for 340 😮😂. Watt is amazing
even though it has never been said: i am pretty certain that the Viking comes out of Lat64. Comparing the Rune to the judge and the Cosmos to the Diamond. Plus they use the same stamping of the weights on their newer versions in the same way Lat64 does.
Nope, they did their own for a while, now they are made by Yikun, the Knife, Sensei, Gui are very very similar, the Cosmos is closer to the Genius, I got both the Diamond and Cosmos, not at all flying the same line imo ^^
I've wondered if flight numbers were more like the average numbers. If you had 100 of them and threw them all there would be some under and over-stable but would average out to that number and some molds would have more deviation than others. For example Thoughtspace pathfinders seem to have very little deviation from their numbers but Innova Shrykes range greatly.
It's easy for a company to claim their putter is the "most popular of all time", since those sales figures have been compiled over the longest period of time, much longer than any other putter on the market today. Calling the Aviar the most popular is meaningless, misleading, and just marketing spin.
Let me get a watt watt!! My favorite straight throwing putter is definitely the watt. Watt im saying is throw the glitch in the ditch and get a watt! I never thought the glitch was a straight flyer more like -1/0 and I haven't touched it since I got my watt. Also good color on that watt because it's the same color as mine lol. I'll see myself out now😅
U missed the rhyno and 3 variant the pig and the nova and the dart from Innova and the pilot from streamline discs and u missed all the discraft discs as well as the aviar 3 and x3 variant
speaking of flight numbers not mattering... the yellow DGA Blunt Gumputt, rated as 2,2,0,2 seems to fly more like 4,6,0,1. Every one I've bought (I own 10) flies dead straight even with max power and glides for days. You're missing out if you don't try this one out for straight flight. Since I fan grip it, when things get wet I power grip the Watt for a similar flight. It looks like it's hovering in one spot when I throw it as it keeps pushing forward.
With putters especially it's about feeling in the hand for me, I bag a gold line Pure as my straightest, longest flyer. If it's windy, go with my Proton Envy.
I used to throw the Sensei. I switch out for a straight run of envys instead because i consistently ripped rhe inner skin of my middle finger off when throwing it. But damned if it wasnt a great disc.
Interesting, my glow Sensei was pretty overstable and uncomfortable to throw, i didn't like it at all. The Latitude64 Pure however, now that's as straight as an arrow.
Right now Im working thru throwing putters. Inner Core, Spin, Agent. Im in my 2nd full round throwing each of them off the tee and the Inner Core has won both rounds. I'll probably do like 10 rounds and take the winner. Inner Core and Spin though have an advantage cause im playing a pitch and putt course designed for righty beginners and Im a lefty so slight understable is working great. Maybe I should incorporate a different course as well. 🤔
Hey Greg You need to try the LOFT Hydrogen Beta Solid I believe it was made before the Glitch I feel MVP took Lofts idea & improved it just my opinion 🤷♂️
I had an electron envy that was incredibly straight. Unfortunately I threw it in a river. My prism plasma envy has now beat in to fly close to how that one once did
I started with the Glitch but just couldn't ever throw it consistently enough to use it on the course, so I keep it in my bag for catch. I switched to a Watt when it came out and haven't looked back. I just feel more confident with a max weight disc, it feels more comfortable in my hands, and is a bit more forgiving if the release isn't perfect. I love it for outside C2 putts also because of the insane glide. Now MVP just needs to make the Watt in more plastics (cough cough Eclipse) haha! Also love the videos, keep up the awesome content!
@@mmdoof I think you're absolutely right. I'm just in glow golf mode hardcore this time of year. I picked up an Eclipse Pilot to be a surrogate Watt for my glow bag and it works okay, definitely harder fade at the end, but still great for throwing. Electron would be fun for a one-disc round also.
Surprised to not see the pure or pa3
Agreed .... I would have thought the pure would be there ... I got one in a mystery box and it both flies far and straight for me.
I bag a Lat 64 Opto Pure
This is the video where you *really* needed to include a Løft Hydrogen, since they've made the claim that it's *the* straightest flying putter.
They are ridiculously straight. If they didn't feel awful they'd sell a million of them.
Came here to suggest the Loft Hydrogen in Alpha plastic. Glad I’m not the only one!
@@eoghana315 I agree, it's definitely made with the flight in mind, not very well designed for powerthrowing, it feels like the plastic warps when it get's that much torque on it. Great video! If a sequel is ever in the works, it'd be great to see a streamline Pilot. Thanks!
Small brands are nice to see but rather see the more established brands
Would have like to have seen a few more putters added into this. The Westside Crown, Westside Maiden, and Latitude 64 Pure
The Maiden was my go to dead straight to about 280-300 for a while! The MattyO Tournament x beat in a bit and is amazing!
Maiden is great and no classic eMac judge!
Would have loooved to see the Loft Hydrogen in premium plastic in this lineup! My first "frozen rope" disc.
I love my glitches but they can go too far for me at times, especially the gyro box eclipse one.
No Pure? Maiden? Why would you include the overstable Judge but not the Warden or Keystone?
yeah, its a weird selection of discs. probably just tested the discs they happened to have on hand. I second the keystone being a big miss.
Few molds missing that would be good to test:
Westside’s Crown, Maiden, and Shield
Lat64 Pure or Keystone
Loft Hydrogen
Streamline Pilot
Dynamic Warden
My favorite is the Latitude 64 Keystone. Beat in opto has that beautiful flip to flat straight flight, my opto-x flies straight out of the hand. A beat medium was my first real turn over disc.
Pure forsure.

Opto X Pure? I feel like theyre pretty dang straight?
Super exciting video!
Hmm
There are almost no holes at any course near me that actually call for a straight throw🤔
I love a good Narwhal. The UV one is what I use for a guaranteed right moving flight without burning over and rolling!
I like the gold line pure off the shelf or the opto pure beat in!
Brilliant as ever. (Don't knock ya old vids)

Unfortunate to only have a glow proxy, MVP glow plastic is always more stable than their other plastics.
Most recent runs of glow plastic seems to be pretty much same stability as other premium plastics. This applies at least envy, proxy, hex and pilot
Proxy eclipse and neutron aren’t even close
@@teeeeeeeemu eclipse 2.0 envy is WAY beefier than other plastics, including cosmic neutron. It’s basically a stabilizer
Proxy in soft neutron is very straight but quickly becomes understandable.

Some straight putters I've thrown RPM glow Ruru, RPM atomic Takapu, lastly RPM atomic Tui for slower arms and is less flippy in cosmic or glow
I've also found some mildly under stable putters in lighter weights that if you have enough arm speed you basically cancel out the negative turn. Same for light weight drivers too
Maiden; for my noodle arm, is the straightest thing I have ever thrown.

Penny Glow definitely a straight I bag it as well I did buy a Sen though after watching this vid why not it’s cheap lol
I have that same sensie and i love it! Mine glides forever effortless distance for a putter.
Westside Maiden BT Medium and/or Gateway Chief (not Chief OS).
Great video. Would be cool to see a low power straight flying test. Like for when you need the 150-200 foot straight shot.
The way you throw these discs determines a lot about their flight. You are torqueing into the discs on hyzer angle and trying to flip them all up. This causes a lot of straighter discs to appear "overstable".

Best disc channel! Shout out Birdogie tho!
I bag the Watt as my main straight throwing putter. I also bag a Glitch, but that’s for long bids at the basket & long putts. I also have a slightly overstable Luna that I use often.
Can you add the Axiom Pitch to that now? Also the Discmania Spore and if you can get ahold of one the Innova Polecat.
“James Conrad throws and woooooooo”. Lol
I bag 3 of the discs you tested and 2 of them were in your top 5. I putt with 2 EXO Soft Logics inside the circle. I putt with the Lux-Vaper Logic in circle 2. I putt with the Watt from the edge of circle 2 till around 85 feet. After 85 feet till around 150 I'm throwing either the Lux-Vaper Logic or Watt depending on distance and elevation.
earned my sub, great video
I think I would love for you to do a disc is in the details for setting up a proper bag.
Awesome video!
Those release angles didn’t look to be perfectly consistent. I would have liked a freeze from or some kind of indicator to show what the release angle is for each throw.
Exactly. Just cause an under stable putter flips up to flat on a hyzer release doesn’t make it a “straight flying putter”
A couple of months ago I was playing a round with my friends when I spotted a disc just lying in plain sight on the middle of the fairway. Quite unusual. It was marked with a name and a number so I rang up the owner and he said “Meh, just keep it!”. It’s an amazing putter! Of course it depends on your style and the angles you are comfortable with. I throw a base Luna on a slight hyzer and it is dead straight.
I'm gonna say you probably shouldn't test discs in glow plastic unless you want a more oberstable option.

The Premium Sensei is absolute money, most thrown disc in my bag. Thanks for proving how great it is! @DiscmaniaGolfDiscs - can we please get an S-Line Sensei?

Psst... The infinite discs Tomb is molded by Innova and is VERY VERY VERY VERY 😉 similar to the Stud mold and even comes in more plastics!
163g glow glitch from the new gyro boxes. Loving it.
The Discmania c-line P1 (Innova plastic). Not easy to find a backup. =(
I'm an Aviar thrower. For the longest time I threw my putting putter (sub-100' distances) which is a DX Classic Aviar or Aviar P&A, and eventually an R-Pro Aviar. No Invader? ☹
Sensei has been my putting putter for awhile now.
It's shallow so works great for me.
My small hands just hate deep putters.
Not using base plastic versions of these makes the results and comparisons less effective.
My Streamline Pilot in base plastic has been my straight putter for 2 years until I found the Watt in premium plastic recently. I threw my 9 speed Escape on a downhill drive and it went around 375 feet. My Watt went straight as a laser for 340 😮😂. Watt is amazing
Where is the most popular discmania putter?
even though it has never been said: i am pretty certain that the Viking comes out of Lat64.
Throws were off for each throw so its hard to get accurate readings. Also no pilot?
I bag a Glitch. I also have a Sensei from a tournament that I was in this summer. Might have give it a rip and see if it flies straight for me.
Maiden, pure, polecat?
bagging the soft logic is my straight putter. Awesome video thank you:]>

no pa3, p2 or popcorn?
So which one of the top 5 went the farthest?
I need all the distance i can get but strait.
I would say the Watt was probably the furthest, it is heavier than the glitch and more torque resistant so you can really mash it and it can carry.
So no Pa-3 4 or 5
Interesting, my glow Sensei was pretty overstable and uncomfortable to throw, i didn't like it at all.
The Latitude64 Pure however, now that's as straight as an arrow.

Where’s the Pure??
The sensei is overstable to everyone except the guy throwing in the video lol
My heavily beat in berg is my straightest disc.
Hey Greg You need to try the LOFT Hydrogen Beta Solid I believe it was made before the Glitch I feel MVP took Lofts idea & improved it just my opinion 🤷♂️
I once threw a brand new proton atom 300feet along an ob line, hit ob stick straight on and rolled ob. Definitely a putter to throw hard.
I use pa3 putters theyre nice, i dont like how they feel but they fly well
I had an electron envy that was incredibly straight.
Watt would probably fly a little more an S shape in Eclipse, but a good disc nonetheless. Electron version could challenge the Glitch as a C4 putter.
My xt nova has been my strait putter for years
Where's the Discmania Spore?
I guess this is for throwing? I hope my pures are in here!
Cosmic Fury 2 is money 🔥👌
