The fact that it can use batteries and an outlet is a level above
💯🔥
yes please more of this.. the 12" miter saw would be sweet with this option, but i see the table saw as a no brainer with dual power
Yes, I have an xgt vac, I wish they had it.
@@adampetten1009I’ll take it a step further, 2 battery with AC/DC function. Single battery table saws are not good enough
@@CraigularjJoeWoodworks dual 12.0 packs could maybe spin a full 10" blade.
If it would charge the batteries while plugged in, would be the most perfect vacuum ever!
Also Milwaukee should make a pack out cyclone for this vac!
This really needs a Packout cyclone separator that can be mounted on top.
Thanks Rob, as always you ask the right questions to get info to us
I feel for any professional presenter going toe to toe w/ Aaron Robilard. It’s like watching an otherwise capable boxer come to the sudden realization he’s facing down Mike Tyson. He held his own for a while, but in the end, you just can’t win against the overwhelming force, the quick combo questions, the fast paced change-ups. The man is a force to be reckoned with. Thanks Rob for entering gladiatorial arena for our continued tool education and edification.
He doesn’t care he asks all the tough question no bullshit from concord. Stand up guy that’s why I follow you and learn alot from you. I changed my whole out look on how I perform at work. Thanks 👍🏻
WOW thanks for the compliment
no to Panie ,poprawiłeś mi dzisiejszy wieczór.
odkurzacz o którym marzę od kilku lat, w końcu pojawia się w USA.
i na kabel, i na baterie , i jeszcze packout 🥰😍
w europie zapewne to będzie z 1000 dolarów, ale... w końcu będę go miał 😁🥰🥰🥰
Very nice dust extractor seem powerfull milwaukee makes great tools
Omg this looks like an amazing vacuum. I love it
Dual power, Filter cleaner and the remote start button. What else can you ask ? Oh thats right make it have packout slots on top. Such a cool thing to come out
Great overview, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice good job!!
$799 and $1199?????
Milwaukee’s making Festool look affordable!!
no its not. festools dust extractor without a hose is 599 canadian, so right there your wrong, goes all the way up to 1200 canadian
No, I’m right. The cordless Festool kit can be had for sub $1000 stateside. That’s $200 cheaper than the Milwaukee. We’re talking US dollars, not Canadian, buddy.
@@baraksinz2937so for $1000 festool doesn’t have automatic filter cleaning, a hybrid power system, and is a 3.96 gal. System. Versus the Milwaukee at $1200 with batteries, hybrid power supply, automatic filter cleaning, and 9 gal. Capacity. Or you can buy the bare tool for $799 and run it off a cord or you existing m18 batteries. Their track saw has been rated right up with festool so why should we think the dust extractor will fall short? The 12 gal corded Festool with all the features is $1100 so I feel this is a fair price. I would love for it to be a touch lower, but unlike festool who increases their prices yearly Milwaukee actually puts their tools on sale.
@@baraksinz2937 Why argue? You can get either and be good. It's a win-win and competition is good.
@@multidineroNot trying to be an idiot. I’m sure they’re both great tools! I just stated the fact Milwaukee’s price has surpassed the the usual king of high price, Festool, and got told I was wrong by a guy comparing Canadian pricing to US pricing. 🤷🏻♂️
Great tools, hope come soon and see reviews 😊😊
Thanks Rob for the overview!
I voided my warranty but made my single battery packout compatible ,through-bolted a bracket above.
Cut a hole for access to the onboard tools ,and for hose storage.
Also added an adapter down to 36mm for tracksaw use.
They finally got it right.
PO compatible ,BT dongle, corded option (although probably not a charger),smaller hepa filter which allows for more capacity.
#FieldMOD - Love it! Send me pics
This is awesome! I was looking at the Makita 40 V dust extractors, even the 80 V, but the runtime on just batteries was a turn off. The fact that makita cannot use remote off on button was also a turn off. The only other vacuum that was considering was the metabo HPT 36 V which could work as a corded or cordless, but that was only 2 gallons with the small hose. This is perfect providing the decibel ratings are in the 60s. So glad I I can stay with the Milwaukee platform for everything next I want to see a orbital sander that’s corded or cordless like the Festool Low profile like the Boschgex18v or bosch gex12v but with a 5 mm orbit so I can use it for bodywork and paint.
A built in charger would be a good addition, so you could charge the battery’s whilst running off mains. Hope this comes to the UK
verry good infos
Metabo has a system that detects the vibration of a tool when you turn it on through a remote that can strap on to any tool and start the vacuum automatically, no Bluetooth required on the tool and works on any tool regardless of brand, I think Milwaukee should do something similar.
I loooooooveeeeeeeee this!!!!
I see these things, know their use is forward looking and wise, but the prices being asked are outrageous. I can’t help but wonder how many people are going to come down with mesothelioma from exhaling dust because they couldn’t afford proper dust management.
I wish companies would agree that by making dust management a loss-leader they could keep their customers alive and productive to keep buying their tools.
Great to see. Milwaukee have been behind Makita XGT in blue tooth dust extraction. Long overdue for this and the tools to come to market. I’d love to see Vaclink batteries as an option to add to non equipped tools too. Only bad news is the price. Makita’s offerings will undercut this by the look of it
Looks like I’ll be getting rid of my Festool midi or Ridgid for this love the packout feature
I’m right there with you. The dual power sources and the auto clean and the fact that all my systainers have been swapped for packout make this a no brainer. Plus having the ability to buy this stuff at most big box stores makes accessibility to bags etc easier to get.
Make no mistake...I'm getting this when it comes out. But DeWalt have had a single battery/plugin vacuum for nearly 10yrs. I'm guessing Milwaukee wants full hepa style than just a "shop vac" which I understand. But maybe a little late.
Few yrs using a lot of flexvolt before I switched over. Dual battery 12inch miter saw was fantastic if not really heavy. I actually opted for the single battery in the Milwaukee to get closer to a sustainable portable weight like a kapex on ug cart. But really still much heavier.
I never had a complaint on the single battery flexvolt table saw vs "dual battery" if they really ever are.
I did have to change the battery couple times a day.
Now that tool would have benefited from a single battery/plugin option.
Maybe that's where Milwaukee is going. All their cordless power tools dual battery and plugin option... I could buy that. I would buy that.
Now we need to know if the AC power recharges batteries. But I've been waiting for one of these for a long time. I absolutely love my packout vac for small jobs.
So this will compete with Festool, they just need a good sander to match now
Great video, but Milwaukee is smoking some power stuff if they think we want to spend 1000$ on a shop vac. 😂
Did you get a chance to move one around in stored position? Wondering if its awkward to carry and store in a van?
The corded/ cordless capability is big. I think this is the first vac that has this. Makita missed the ball big time with their 40v version. Hoping to see this in the UK. Good vid Rob, helpful as always
I am also in Makita 40v and they missed with their prices as well
My old DeWalt had the cord too.
The Hikoki/Metabo HPT 36v runs off their adapter as well. Of course because Japanese companies seem to do almost no advertising or self promotion no one has ever heard about it.
@@dcl97Hikoki hit the nail on the head with selling an AC adaptor that works with their 36v tools. I wish more tool companies would follow suit. I wonder whether those AC adaptors would work with Makita XGT or another 36v tool brand with a battery to tool adaptor 🤔.
@@dcl97 thanks for the heads up. I have seen this vac, will look into it
Hopefully when they start including the wireless connection in the tools it will turn on the vacuum automatically.
I dont mind the dongle - have had one on my Festool vac for years.
Milwaukee has a power switch you wear on your wrist for their smaller vacation maybe it works for that
Is Milwaukee gonna make a quality finish sander compared to the Festool ets ec sander and put in a pack out and able to put on top the new dust extractor
I want, was thinking festool , but use mil batteries, hope this works with drywall
Bravo
The next logical step for these dc/ac type tools is to incorporate a charger. Huge opportunity here. Batts run out and you have to plug this vac into ac, run it on low and let the batts recharge. Or let them charge when the vac shuts off.
jesus i am on the market for a milwaukee cordless vac. Im waiting and spending the money on this!
Why haven't these been released yet ?
Hey rob, what diameter is the hose. The bigger the better is the reason I ask
I maybe missed it, but is there any mention if this is M class or L class?
Now if it could charge batteries as well?..
So what's the normal date range for Milwaukee when they say Q4?
When does this thing come out?
Great tool the ac is a winner , the makita 40v on dc is a bit stronger, not to mention their 80v
Milwaukee is embracing twin battery storage more and more, something that many, including Milwaukee themselves would make fun of Makita for doing. 😂
Will this be available in the UK?
I would love to see a m18 vac link battery, that way I can retrofit existing tools.
would be nice but doubt it would happen. Backwards compatibility vs sell you a new tool.
everything seems great about this vac except the no drain plug and the price.
wouldnt even bother to use this water
It’s not a great shape for water, I’d use it as a last resort, this is more of a dust extractor for me, My cheap RIDGID does water ad I do t care if it gets messed up.
Is it too soon to say that they’re trying to compete with festool dust extractors?
When in shops?
Nearly everything I've hoped for in a vacuum. Packout, dual power source, vaclink. Only thing missing is the ability to charge batteries when plugged into AC. Seems like a missed opportunity there. If they can integrate Vaclink into OneKey and let all my current tools work with it without the adapter I'm buying this the day it comes out.
Interesting - I wasnt hoping for a charger - but irt would be nice - similar to the tower light!
When will this be for sale in the uk ?
😎⚒️😎⚒️😎
Any one know if it has an anti-static hose?
Wonder how this compares to egos new shop vacuum
Cool. But not $799 cool
What is the method for self-cleaning filters? Stream redirection how is DeWalt implemented? Or will it be vibration cleaning?
I believe it is an air pulse - but maybe Milwaukee will comment here and let us know
For that price I will hire two maids to stand behind my track saw.
when will it be available?
Any ideas when this will be released in the uk?
If its end of 24 for the USA, I'd bet powertoolmate have it for about end of 25 😂
I feel like my m18 shop vac was such a waste.. missing all these features they finally addressed especially the wired power option. Battery life is just not there yet for something as demanding as dust extraction without investing in 12.0 batteries and for that cost you’re better off going the festool route
thats why I advocated for and am excited to see the AC/DC featture
Ok so they came out with Milwaukees version of AWS, but it’s less capable. Kind of weak in my opinion. Festool has had the Bluetooth button for years, and makita has a non-button automatic Bluetooth feature. Milwaukee needs to work on this
When it finally goes into production, they may have this, but the price will increase. How many batteries come with the Festool that sells for $1200?
@@g.m.forsythe9626 idk but the makita is a better tech anyways
The Festool sells for sub $1000 and comes with 2 batteries.
Does the shop vac also blow air?
Yup
Take my 💰
Does this charge the batteries as well?
No charging
Sexy, I almost got a festool one… I’ll wait for this bad boi ❤❤
And if they come out some likes festool cyclone put on top
When drywall sander
Mmm very interesting, i wonder why they opted for the shitty dongle option instead of bring out a new line of tools with truly wirless dust extraction using bluetooth.
I have makitas 40v range that all have the bluetooth dust extraction its amazing, having used it i couldnt imagine using a dongle, defeats the purpose, you may as well just turn off the vac like its right next to you at that point..
All praise to Jesus Christ!, I want one !
700 to 800 bucks? Did Festool buy Milwaukee?
240v for the rest of the world??😢
Is it Mclass or Lclass
Its a dust extractor - definitely M Class
@@ConcordCarpenter nightmare in the UK must be M class on site , been hoping they would bring one out to compete with the dewalt
hopefully dewalt come out with something like this...... NEED
Dam 1200$ they win with the dc.
I like the vacuum cleaner but so annoying when you don't let the Milwaukee Rep explain the tool you keep interrupting him
Oh, boo-hoo
They have their cordless table saw and miter saw for some year now, they launched few cordless vacuum cleaners now and they still cant properly connect their own cordless tools... that is a shame and big minus................
I don’t see this as an issue, the dongle lives on the working end of the hose, and not having the extra Bluetooth electronics keeps the tool cost down
I have a bunch of MAKITA tools and not enough AWS chips for all my tools because they sell that as an accessory
@ConcordCarpenter the solution works on the case like yours, agree. The thing is that when you do some framing for example and you do cuts so often, you need to come to your saw take your board and make fast cut. Now every time before making the cut i have to turn on and off the vacuum on every cut... that is so anoying... i think the stupid idea was to make a cordless mitter saw (miter saw are almost all time conected to vacuum cleaners) then you make cordless vacumm cleaner and dont make some Bluetooth connection. Also speaking about mitter saw, it is only for inside use... just small rain and water colects behind battery and switches the tool off.... and everything would be solved if the batery would be mount upside down possition or if there would be just any kind of small cover from rain... looks like carpenter tools are created by someone who dont know much about carpenting work...
This is where makita failed by not having dual power capabilities. Oh well im gonna have to go milwaukee again depending on the price
Work on that mic gain holy cow
