Sorry Matt, I think Flex is going to kill this saw and dewalt.
Flex is launching two saws next year. 81/4” and a 10”.
And it will be cordless and have the option for corded.

I have this saw. Purchased the fancy Festool little table saw with the idea of selling my M18 and couldn’t do it. Mainly for the ability to accept a dado stack but also because the saw is so good and only needs one battery. Great video

This was the first table saw I purchased. I really liked this saw, the power & the ability to rip wood even hard wood was fine. It was the battery life that I struggled with. For a job site saw it’s great but for a shop you really need one you can plug into an outlet. Unless you have about 3 of the 12 hr batteries. If your ripping down a bunch of boards is were your going to struggle unless you got 3 batteries. One in the machine your using one charging and one ready to go. It takes awhile to charge the battery even with the rapid charger about 2 hrs. So I found myself waiting for the battery to charge to finish my job. Other than that it’s a great little saw very portable very accurate with the cuts. There’s a pouch inside where the blade sits which is nice for dust collection. Dust collection wasn’t to bad for me. I had to sell it and buy a bigger saw to rip allot of wood. I was very happy with mine.

Had this for about a year and use it most days.
It is a good saw, reliable.
Though I wouldnt say its anything crazy better then most other benchtop tablesaws.
The saw is strong and the battery it comes with cuts a ton before you need to pop another batt in.
Besides that...its aluminum like mpst benchtop ones and it only has the 8 1/4 blade size.
It does take a dado if your in the Usa.
And thee major thing why most burn the extra cash on Milwaukee is because I would be shocked if it ever stopped working....they are just a workhorse line of tools.

That One Key system installed in this is actually crazy! That is what might sell me on getting a battery powered saw. I also love where they put the battery. It’s out of the way, but easy to get to

I bought this saw a few months ago. I think it’s defective. I cannot get the blade straight. At all. Tried adjusting the trunions and everything. I have to have it at -2 degree bevel and Best I can get it is like .04” off front to back. Only way I can get it square (.005” or less) is with a clamp on the back to hold it. Disappointed but it is otherwise a nice saw. I assume I just got a bad one. Regardless, love your channel.

This was the best video I have seen yet and explained in detail regarding everything especially the part where you can fix the blade to a 90 degree. That was where I was stuck as this is my first table saw to be able to get work done around the house. Thank you for a great video. Also would you be able to do a video for the Milwaukee mitre saw and how to fix the blade angle on that’s also please. That would be awesome 😅

  • @nonplayablecharacter4815
    @nonplayablecharacter4815 9 місяців тому +1

What sucks is that mine doesn’t go 45 degree evenly. If I adjust the screws to make 45 degrees straight then my 90 degrees won’t be straight.
By straight I mean the same distance from the front of the saw blade to the fence as the back of the saw blade to the fence

  • @jenskmigselv

This is an awesome compact and well constructed saw. Feels solid, precise, plenty powerful and most of the every day use is tool less.
But the mitre gauge feels like a tool compared to the saw itself and the other accessories.

I am in the process of getting out of milwaukee....not into it. Those m18 12ah batteries are the worst batteries of any tool brand being made. I had 4x of them. 3 failed in the first year with 30 or less charge cycles. I did not save my receipts so when i took them into a service center they said the were 3 1/2 years old by the serial #.
So I'm out about $800 for the 3 failed batteries. The 4th is functional but weak. It has less power and endurance that either of my 8ah m18 batteries. So really to be honest its a quadruple failure in my opinion. Milwaukee batteries are very expensive and not very good. Especially anything bought during the covid era.
I don't trust either milwaukee or Home Depot because of this. I replaced my m18 sawsall with a hercules recip saw for one reason....batteries. i have several herc 12ah batteries and they are all working great...no failures...and really good run times. The saw may not be as powerfull but at least its batteries are reliable.
As to the table saw...I'll wait for Flex. Their stacked lithium batteries are as good as golden too. Its also dual power too.

Yo Matt, very informative review. I bought that saw partly based on this review. I do have a question; not about the saw, you covered it very well. I'd like to know where you got the safety glasses you're wearing in the video. I have a fat head (both my ex-wives agree) and can never find reading glasses or safety glasses with temples long enough to hook over my ears. any suggestions? Again, another informative tool review.

I'll likely buy one when it's publicly available. One thing I've noticed the last day or two is FLEX sent a BUNCH of UA-camr's those saws for free to review. So I'd rather be on the other side of that and buy one with my own money and give it a go.

Well, I made another weekend decision went and bought one of these today 😅 you was right about the adjustment. It took me over an hour to get everything square. I bought the 10 inch miter saw about a month ago and it was the same way.. I’m replacing a Dewalt DW 745 and it was right on the money. I checked it tonight after I worked on the Milwaukee. That thing has bounced around in the backseat of my truck for four years approximately 70,000 miles 😃 I was going to get the Dewalt cordless, but nobody had them in stock for some reason. Also it comes with a 6a battery and I have a 6a spare ,but it’s five years old, so I went with the Milwaukee

I love the new channel, also the honesty in saying things like well, the festool kapex is a top tier saw, but way overpriced. That's not something you hear from a lot of channels in my opinion well done. Couple of questions though about a few different brands I own that I don't hear you say anything about (maybe you have before and I missed it not sure). I recently bought the metabo hpt 36v cordless 10 inch table saw, it's a beast! 35 inch rip capacity, rack and pinion fence, and the ability to run corded or cordless. In my opinion there's no difference in power between battery and plugging in, I could go on and on about it I'd love to see it on your channel though with your opinion. Also I own a few Hercules brushless tools. That hammer drill and impact driver can go toe to toe with Milwaukee, DeWalt etc. But the thing I like probably the most is the warranty. All of their brush was tools 5-year no questions asked warranty, over the counter at the store you don't have to send it anywhere. It reminds me of the old days at Sears with Craftsman, just take it in they tell you to grab a new one and you're on your way, you don't even need a receipt because when you buy it it's registered under your phone number in their computer system
