I love how many different time periods she takes from. 80’s, 40’s, even the early 2000s with This Could be a Dream….. and of course from her own magical world outside of time!
I have seen other reactions to this album on UA-cam. Your reaction and insight is by far the best. I like how Aurora doesn't get stuck in producing "cookie cutter" music and songs. Every one has a different and expressive feel that demonstrates her true emotions and artistry. Great stuff. Thanks.
A little place called the moon made me cry, I'm not sure why, it was definitely tears of joy, It's nostalgic, beautiful, and it's a perfect wrap up, all the emotion from the previous songs just hits you all at once.
My 2 favorites: "The Innocent" and "This Could Be A Dream" (one of the most beautiful songs ever), but both "You Keep Me Crawling" and "Blood In The Wine" is very close to the 2 top ones. You Keep Me Crawling is really like a Bond song, and Blood In The Wine is a song for a western movie. We need Aurora to make music for some major triple a movies.
Loved this video. Great reaction to an incredible album and wonderful human being. I would love to watch you go through her other albums too and break the songs down, even if you've already heard them.
For the album reaction, AMAZING! I loved it. Good quality while also detailed. Luckily their were information about who is singing or those apart of the song!
This is my favorite album of hers ever. It is the most cohesive in terms of theming and message. The others are phenomenal as well but not as good with theming as this. I also love the vocals and production. Blood in the wine because my most listening to song on Spotify of all time within 3 weeks of album release and I have had Spotify for over 4 years now. It is so folky, primal, feral, and cinematic with hints not almost country/western with rock. These are my favorite types of sounds from her. I am also a big fan of her belting, full chest voice, and belt/ mix sounds which she doesn’t use in all of her songs. My second favorite from the album is You Keep me crawling which uses those techniques
oh Wake up and Silent Violence are both undereased tracks from this album? I've heard them before but didn't knew it was related to TGWCT. i love these songs
Thank you for a very fantastic reaction..I had never loosen my hold on the music of Aurora and her incredible team...thank you..honored to subscribe to your channel...
The instrument she uses in Artemis is not an accordion, is a bandoneon and the music is inspired in Argentinian tango, more specificaly in Astor Piazzolla's music. If you liked this, I really reccomend you lo listen to his music
@@EvolveSongwriting I think you will love it!!! "Oblivion", "Adios Nonino" and "Las cuatro estaciones porteñas" are some of the most famous ones. They are full instrumental, there is no comming back
Great reaction and I enjoyed it. Also very cool analysis and comments. I can see you have music knowledge and it makes it even more interesting (but it is not a surprise as I see you are Songwriter :) ). Ps. and of course I love her music :).
I like your reactions! I agree, it is too good for us. I think all of her songs have so many layers. One specific I can think of, towards the end of "Exhale Inhale" sounds to me/makes me feel like I'm twirling and swirling and floating. Since you've heard it, after listening to Exist for Love, you should listen to Potion for Love.
I can't have just one favorite, I've had, like, seven on this album Currently, Everything Matters probably takes the cake. It feels like a long ride far from society, and Pomme was a great addition at the end
Great reaction, don't know how I just discovered this now :) A tiny bit funny tho that it's "Songwriter reacts" and the focus is almost solely on the instrumental/melody, didn't expect that 😅
I can tell you that songwriting in the modern day is A LOT about those things rather than the lyrics. Take a song like Despacito - Global hit and not in English for the most part. What makes it so successful is the catchy melodies, the beat, the instruments etc.
A Temporary High ... bit like The Weeknd with Blinding Light, having that synth melody ... Until you listen to this version 😲 AURORA - A Temporary High - Radio 1 Piano Sessions : ua-cam.com/video/1loP1LEaJHE/v-deo.html Artemis: Actually a bandoneon (Argentinian concertina). Well, if one of the world's best players (Per Arne Glorvigen) happens to also be Norwegian, you give him the gig 😉
when i pitch her to people i tell them she’s like the musical intersection of florence and the machine, bjork, and grimes in the weird way her music intersects folk and electronic influences!
OMG! Your reactions and analyses are amazing, how come you have only a thousand subs? Like you deserve millions! It’s so informative and fun too, can’t stop watching, need more videos of yours 😁
Great review :) ... Fyi, in Artemis, it's not an accordion, it's a bandoneon ;) EDIT : highlights for me, Everything Matters, Blood in the wine, and A little place called the moon. And if you're not aware of it, she linked every song with a greek god or goddess. Let me know if you need the list, she made a quiz about it last autumn, I still have the results saved somewhere :D
TIL the difference between an accordion and bandoneon XD thanks for the insight. That is SO COOL about each song being linked to a different god. Just looked into it and it gives each song so much more context, I love it!
@@EvolveSongwriting Nice reaction! The relationship you between "Artemis" and the last song: NASA's mission back to the Moon is called "Artemis" and "We are going to the moon" (A Little Place Called The Moon), and in Artemis she sings: "I always wondered why they all, came back for more!" (back to Artemis goddess of The Moon).
Great react! I think you will love listening to the album Amir by Tamino, a Belgian-Egyptian artist. He has a wonderful voice and beautiful compositions
The piano in The Innocent definitely has a French influence. I’m personally not very familiar with world music but it reminds me of the piano in the song by the French artist Zaz called Je Veux
Enjoyed your analysis and excitement for Aurora very much! 💙 Wish I could watch you react and analyse her previous work but knowing you love her previous projects is satisfying enough 😌 Would love to watch you react to Lana del rey maybe. Keep up the great content
Please react to O'Brother, they make a very singular type of music... All of they albums are awesome. At least check the album 'You and I' or 'Endless Light'. Love your reaction!!
Pls pls pls react to Joanna Newsom! 😭 Her craft is weaved really beautifully! Her complex lyricism paired with her really intricate production is superb! 😤 and not to mention she has a really unique voice too If you'll be reacting to her someday... I recommend you start with her album: Ys 😭💗😭
If you listen to the cranberries album “animals”… I can’t help but thing she’s influenced by so much of the structure of the album and the vocals of Dolores on there. I’m surprised no one has pinned Auroras vocals to Dolores from the cranberries.
Hello from Germany. I love Aurora. One question: What does PRO SONGWRITER mean? Sounds pretentious to me at first. What kind of professional songs did the gentleman write, huh? Moin aus Deutschland. Ich liebe Aurora. Eine Frage: Was bedeutet PRO SONGWRITER? Klingt erstmal angeberisch für mich. Was hat der Herr denn schon für professionelle Songs geschrieben, häh?
Professional is a simple word, it just means you've been paid to write songs or music. Most artists actually work that way in studios, ghost writing, STEM production, etc
Only Aurora has the genius to be able to include a 16 bar face melting accordion solo and have it be the most natural thing in the world.

You totally get it, Aurora is otherworldly and absolutely one of a kind

yes youre right
Aurora should have been nominated for a Grammy for this album.
Speaking of spies, You Keep Me Crawling reminds me of the ending credits song by Moby in the Bourne Ultimatum called Extreme Ways.
im sure Askjell produced some of her songs in her previous albums. CINEMATIC and ambient is his bread and butter
Her first album was co written and produced with Odd Martin. He as great. Think Magnus(Aurora's drummer) stepped up after that.
Loved this video. Great reaction to an incredible album and wonderful human being. I would love to watch you go through her other albums too and break the songs down, even if you've already heard them.
