I once said to her (at an autograph session in Oslo) "Well.... So you're a human after all" - what a stupid remark - But a smile spread across her face and she replied "but of course I am a human " then a smile that got even wider, a mischievous look and then the sentence " and what a human ....." And here she sits, totally relaxed and proving exactly that... what a fantastic woman. (human being)😊

I love that she says she immediately distances herself from people who dont have good vibes.. and also that she says very quickly if she needs to express something.. I can imagine how this keeps her safe, tests the qaulity of her friendships and quality of work collaborators, that she is only surrounds herself with decent sorts that she can be free and continue being herself unfettered

Fantastic interview. As others have said...I appreciate that you let her follow her thoughts through to conclusion and don't interrupt.

I’m autistic and I like how she’s hinted at being potentially autistic in the past as well as having major neurodivergent vibes ❤ her mentioning she doesn’t like small talk within the first 5 minutes of the video made me smile 😊 this whole interview screams autism to me in the best way possible; I really recognised myself in the way she does eye contact, in her ‘weird’ sitting positions, in the way she expresses herself, in the things that matter to her, in her unique sense of style, in the way she talks easily about things society finds ‘taboo’, she’s part of the LGBT community (a lot of autistic people are), she describes as being an introvert, she collects dead insects, etc! It’s up to her of course but if she is autistic I’d be so happy if she talked about it publicly because she has such a large audience it would be great representation for the community ❤ so many of us go undiagnosed until adulthood because of the misconceptions and stigma that still surround autism (I wasn’t diagnosed until the age of 26) and for a lot of us that self-realisation is life-changing 😊

I just love how she is just really herself without putting herself into any category ❤ Everyone of us is special and it’s a process of finding your true self and be happy and authentic with it. Aurora has already gone much further in that process than many of us I guess. I hope one day this world will be a place in which each and everyone can be as special as we are without being put into a category ❤

@@KopfundSeele unfortunately we’re not there yet and putting ourselves in a ‘category’ as you say can actually save lives 👍 it’s actually kind of dismissive and ableist to say that. Not all of us have the luxury of being accepted as we are by society, and not having a word to describe our experience (the ‘category’ you speak of) means we spend our lives wondering what’s wrong, why we can’t seem to function like everyone else, etc. When we finally get our ‘category’, we feel a sense of belonging, of community and of self-understanding and compassion we’ve never experienced before. You’d be surprised by the number of su*cides that would be avoided if we were put into these ‘categories’ sooner instead of not being diagnosed until our 20s, 30s, or even as late as our 60s. I’m tired of that toxic positivity of ‘we’re all beautiful and different in our own ways’ but when you try to be yourself you get bullied, ostracised, and discriminated against by those same people. Trust me, I really wish it were that simple 🙏

Maybe to give an example: the way of sitting on a chair is actually pretty individual. The thing about it is that society at some point defined one way of sitting on a chair as the “best” and thus as the norm. So every child is being brought up with the sentences “sit straight” or something but this is just because the human brain does not want to use so much energy in questioning existing rules all the time. And we also depend on the people around us as we define as a culture so often instead of just changing the game we accept that this is the norm and try to fit into our “culture”. Humans strive to identify with each other but maybe one day we do not identify anymore due to our “good” or “bad” behaviour in a sense of education (not accepting crimes of course!!) but because we know we are all human beings, no matter what we look or should behave like. ❤️ Please let me know if this makes any sense to you.

@@KopfundSeele some standing/sitting positions are actually more comfortable for autistic people than neurotypicals because of proprioception/sensory differences, so it’s not all about the way we were raised as many neurotypicals wouldn’t actually find these positions comfortable. But again, this kind of ‘I wish the world was a better place’ argument won’t get us very far I’m afraid. It’s like saying we shouldn’t need gay prides if the world was more accepting of LGBTQIA+ people. Yes, but the very reason why we have gay prides is *because* the world isn’t more accepting of LGBTQIA+ people. Instead of saying we wouldn’t need these things if the world was different, let’s consider the world as it really is and find solutions to better the lives of the people in it 👍

@@paulinejulien9191 thanks for sharing your thoughts of which I agree at parts. You’re right, we’re not there yet. So my thoughts can probably be seen as my vision for the world. And if I look at my life I’m also still away from being as authentic as I could be. But I try to. I try to be okay with me disagreeing with people because that is difficult for me. I prefer me and someone else to be connected and close. I also don’t sit straight on my chair but have my legs up. I cry and I find different reasons for it and at the end I’m not sure which one to trust.
So maybe that’s just my thing, not wanting names for something because people tend to connect other things with one word and then they are biased again. We’ll see. I’m just happy that Aurora speaks up for so many people and the Earth and lives her personality.

7:03 No one out there talking about masturbation so casually and often like her. It almost seems like she's on a micro-mission to normalizing it.. (but for whom?). It's also a little funny because I really think the emphasis is on SELF-pleasure rather than sex in general.

The last year I have had three dreams where I met Aurora.
Usually I get yelled at a bit, but then she says, you are a part of making this song, stop being so detail oriented.
I am like, wtf... am I a part of making a song?
I also had a dream where I met Astrid S, another Norwegian pop star. She yelled at me for playing her pink metal flake
painted guitar that she was gifted by Dolly Parton.
I don´t know what this means, but I am ready for the next episode ;)
What happens when we sleep is such a weird thing.
