(1) Something you did not explain about Meteorite identification ‘is’ using a “secondary check” help aid from a digital VLF coin metal detector with a LED screen to read the VID numbers to help identify Meteorites.
(2) Also, of course, bring them to the University or to a professional to identify the Meteorites.
(3) I also have a GPX 6000, I see you’re using the Coiltek Goldhawk coil, but the Nuggetfinder Xceed is a better coil being “quieter” and has more scanning width.

I like the way you kept it simple ,just one tip..could you center the stones you find and while your seperating them,,slow down just a little bit when your rotating the stones in front of the camera, i had to stop several times and get a better look but because your hand was on the edge of the video it was hard to get a good look at some.. thanks for the porceilien scratch test.. I keep forgewtting to take apiece with me to the field,, well misses gonna wonder what happened to the lid on the toilet..hmm mabey ill make one out of a piece of wood and resin coat it,,ha!!

It says the GB Meteorite "was probably 40 to 60 inches in diameter". It had to be much larger than that with all the pieces that have been found since Jim`s discovery
If rock leaves black streak, it’s probably magnetite. If rock leaves red streak, it’s most likely hematite. Meteorites do not leave any streak at all.
