How to find Meteorites with a Metal Detector / Gold Nuggets & Dry Washing

How to find meteorites.
Spent the day looking for meteorites. Then went exploring old gold mines and miners shacks. Then went metal detecting for gold.
Found a couple meteorites and a gold nugget.
Was a great day just exploring and driving around on the razor in the gold and lost basin areas in Arizona.

The dirt has to be bone dry or no bueno. Search the dry stuff. Thanks fella. How about the hard rock?
