Dude i cant tell you enough how much your videos have helped me to understand my holy pala better and therefore pump up my numbers in m+ and raids. Million thanks
Dude, i love hpal and you're a huge reason why I'm good at it. I totally agree with your stance on Blessing of Winter. A huge reason I like paladin in general is because they really are a "for the greater good" class, and that seems lost on a lot of the people who play them. Thanks for your in depth videos, I always learn a lot.
I think there are a lot of healers who are forgetting that healing is NOT about topping the heal meter. It's about keeping the raid alive =) Thanks for your explanation.
Man I love these videos! Just got my holy paladin healing some heroics and mythic 0s and these guides plus wingsisup is such a great resource. Thank you Ellesmere!
I was literally talking to my guildies last night saying that I just don't know if I'm doing . This was such a great video. Told me I was on the right track, but also pointed out some good improvements.
This helped me SO MUCH in raid last night! I went in completely new to Hpally and performed well because I knew how to make decisions thanks to this video. You're the best, Ellesmere!
As a newbie healer and holy paladin, this is the stuff I'm looking for! I hope you continue to make more content like this as a way for others, especially newer players, to learn and be a better hpal.
Talking about using Winter on other healers is massive. The Virtue vs Faith argument is another reason to show how healer parses are complete fallacy. I saw the logs week one with Virtue and LotM and thought it was odd. Been running Faith and no LotM for 2 weeks now and our Shaman has more mana and I can do better spot healing and helping keep players alive. Ellesmere giving real facts while also showing how goated he is with that rank 1 parse!
i appreciate your video so much, you make my live as a holy paladin easier, wealthier and so much fun as an effective healer. Your greatest positive point is your experience as healer and you are able to communicate it contrary to a lot of others content creater who only show their capacity. ty for your commitment to hpal community. I cant wait for your next siménar video if there is on plan for more.i take the liberty if you doesnt mind to propose you some topics that people including me would like to have your opinion and experience: 1) how to face a big big burst off damage in dungeon 2)aura of mercy vs Blessing 3) more on synergy with light of Dawn and eternal flame ex: using unending light and casting 3 lignt of dawn - beacon of virtue- boost eternal flame. Is it anygood or this old synergy outdated? ty for all your magnificents works. You make me happy with hpal again
I’d be really interested in seeing how much overhealing your Faith does though versus actual healing. I guess I just can’t get over the fact that a lot of it is wasted healing but with Virtue you’ll use it when it won’t be wasted.
Great as usual. Is it an idea that you put a section on the website covering each boss in the raid as you did with each dungeon? I found that section very helpful and could do with some tips on some bosses.
You are god given, it is my first time being a healer and also a paladin. I still struggle hard finding the correct balance and tend to sometimes erratically push out spells because I pay more attention to a boss mechanic. Your content is awesome, insightful, and quite raitonal as I observe alot of people still playing Light of Matyr (exclusively)! Keep doing what you are doing.
Hey, very helpful video! I have a question for logging: does dps, cleanses and interupts matter at all for logs? Generally new to healing and content like this really helps
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Great video! Timing on those LoD's, Eternal Flame's is the secret sauce to playing Holy paladin. BTW I'd love your thoughts on Lightsmith talent build. I know you've mentioned it in your previous videos, but not really in depth.
When you have some logs go to damage taken and check EHRPS on the top. That will provide you with info about who needs the most healing. Also at least one beacon should usually be on ranged, since mastery increases healing around your beacons and yourself.
Also on some fights like Silken Court you want to place beacon on targets that are in most danger, in this case players responsible for getting webs and stopping charge
Ive decided my small smooth dps brain will be terrorizing lfg as a holy pal. It’s just looks too fun. I will tell them all to come thank ellesmere when I Brock their key 😀
I think the reason people dont give winter to their other healers is becuase they dont trust them. The mentality is "I can heal better than them, so I'll just buff myself as much as I can".
Wow I am so under-utilising Light of Dawn. Almost exclusively an Eternal Flamer, although that being said I do also play Virtue every fight & thus send Winters on myself. But hey at least I don’t run LotM 😅
Team player right there. Some S-priests wouldn't even give the free PI to other players-they only care about themselves. Giving another healer FREE MANA... to let em heal more? They say HELL NO. If winter drains mana from another healer, you'd see its popularity go through the roof lol.
Honestly? Its just cool to press a button and watch all these beacons go out to other players and they are juat flashing like a lightbulb lol. I get it though, kinda depends on the content you do for sure
well just like you say it yourself, ppl only look at overall HPS not efficient HPS then start flexing and you start talking about efficient HPS they start to shut these ppl down.
Damn, Ellesmere is pumping content recently. What a great time to be a holy paladin. 🎉
Ellesmere giving us consistent content is like having a whole birthday month! 🎉
Dude i cant tell you enough how much your videos have helped me to understand my holy pala better and therefore pump up my numbers in m+ and raids. Million thanks
This has been the single most useful video I've seen on hpal healing. was feeling kind of lost before this. Thank you!

Met this guy as BlizzCon and got my picture with him. Really really smart and knows HPal so well! Thanks for the video Ellesmere!!
I think there are a lot of healers who are forgetting that healing is NOT about topping the heal meter. It's about keeping the raid alive =) Thanks for your explanation.
yeah, i find myself looking at meter from time to time as well 😅 turning it off for every fight now :D
Yep. Lot of meter monkeys. SO much more to healing (and dps) than the meters. Most, including mythic guilds, don't properly understand these things.
Man I love these videos!
Just got my holy paladin healing some heroics and mythic 0s and these guides plus wingsisup is such a great resource.

JFC, thank you for this. I needed some sort of structure that made sense for raid healing!
Was just trying to find a video about this exact thing. Thank you.
Talking about using Winter on other healers is massive. The Virtue vs Faith argument is another reason to show how healer parses are complete fallacy. I saw the logs week one with Virtue and LotM and thought it was odd. Amazing content! Your UI setup is clean! Going to have to try and copy it!

By the light! Another banger sir !
Dude I’ve been waiting for this because I am getting blown up my resto shamans
Great as usual. Is it an idea that you put a section on the website covering each boss in the raid as you did with each dungeon? I found that section very helpful and could do with some tips on some bosses.
Man you are soo right… i realized how many things im doing wrong, never using dawn just spam dlame😊
Wow and I just asked for this in the other video a couple minutes ago
Another banger
This man don’t miss !!!

Thank you so much for this!
Please more of these!
Great content. This really helps. would be nice to get more videos on different bosses. Specifically wing timer
thanks for the breakdown
Great content. Thank you.
Hey, very helpful video!
I have a question for logging: does dps, cleanses and interupts matter at all for logs?
Generally new to healing and content like this really helps
For Mythic+ those are great things to look for in logs but for raid not so much
How do you decide who to beacon? Do you move them around much or just set and forget them?
Should link the log from that fight. Great breakdown as always.
search hpal healing on mythic ulgrax or just search ellesmere area 52 on wcl
The black lines are slim but there are lots of - Light of Dawn
The black lines are fat and are few - Word of Glory
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Great video! Timing on those LoD's, Eternal Flame's is the secret sauce to playing Holy paladin. BTW I'd love your thoughts on Lightsmith talent build. I know you've mentioned it in your previous videos, but not really in depth.
Love the content!!!
Is there any reason or advantage for having the healing numbers visible? I feel like it just clutters the whole screen, especially in a raid?
There's no advantage, no. Removing clutter is good.
It’s honestly nice to see someone championing a non meta healer
Isn't every healer ranked A tier for raid rn? Literally only evoker ranked higher
Hey man, i see ppl running avenging crusader and tyr, are these viable?
Been hearing a lot of people say the nerfs to hpal made them feel pretty weak compared to other healers. Is that true ?
great stuff
On whom do you place your beacons? And do you change them around during the fight?
No you don’t shift beacons much, and this is how I select my beacon targets: clips.twitch.tv/VictoriousExquisiteSwallowPunchTrees-RyFICt8ySmLxSHH7
Nice, so both beacons on top ehps ranged targets?
How do you decide who to put your 2 beacons on? usually i just do both tanks.
When you have some logs go to damage taken and check EHRPS on the top. That will provide you with info about who needs the most healing. Also at least one beacon should usually be on ranged, since mastery increases healing around your beacons and yourself.

What about lightsmith raiding? not to many content for that gameplay healing
How come you don’t beacon both tanks?
I think the reason people dont give winter to their other healers is becuase they dont trust them. The mentality is "I can heal better than them, so I'll just buff myself as much as I can".
Wow I am so under-utilising Light of Dawn. Almost exclusively an Eternal Flamer, although that being said I do also play Virtue every fight & thus send Winters on myself.
But hey at least I don’t run LotM 😅
idk the build you linked does not use word of glory. Edit: its like in the m+ pug you showed. a different setup and build. doesnt make sense to me.
Team player right there. Some S-priests wouldn't even give the free PI to other players-they only care about themselves. Giving another healer FREE MANA... to let em heal more? They say HELL NO. If winter drains mana from another healer, you'd see its popularity go through the roof lol.
90% to 10
Honestly? Its just cool to press a button and watch all these beacons go out to other players and they are juat flashing like a lightbulb lol. I get it though, kinda depends on the content you do for sure
tanks gettin clapped atm so having beacons on them help so much. 5% dr and healing o7
well just like you say it yourself, ppl only look at overall HPS not efficient HPS then start flexing and you start talking about efficient HPS they start to shut these ppl down.
Ellesmere hates duckboy confirmed. Lol
Thank you!
