How to properly bleed a Tuna

Captain George Pica shows us how to properly bleed a Yellowfin Tuna. When Tuna Fishing in New Jersey, bleeding a tuna is critical to preserve good quality during the long ride home from the canyons.

A quality hook is the most important part of your rig, we rely on owner hooks because they are strong and very sharp. We troll an 8/0 for our tuna rigs and go with an 11/0 for swordfish. Channel is great. Wish videos were longer. I fish out of Sandy Hook and started Tuna fishing this year. Would love to see more videos, how you setup trolling spreads and setups, gear used, chunking, chumming while fishing, etc.
