should I consume the tadpole? I had 4 inspiration and advantage on wisdom checks, lol, of course I'm half illithid now. And of course the first thing I did was convince my GF, who didn't want anything do with them, to also do it. So her first tadpole was this one. On the up side you get the whole first ring and flight free if you don't use any other tadpoles first.
I am running a Moon Dragon build, 1 level dragon soul(ice) sorcerer, and 11 levels Moon Druid. I already use Disguise Self all the time so I can benefit from the Shapeshifters Boon. So the cosmetic problems are covered.
I have to know because the info is confusing for me. I used all the tadpoles I got from the True Souls and I ate the astral one. I figured since I already have one tadpole in I'm still at the risk of transforming so why not have an advantage; if you can get rid of one you can take them all out, but now I'm concerned. Since I ate the astral one am I now guaranteed to transform since I'm half already, or do I still have a chance to escape the tentacles? I don't want my diva boyfriend to break up with me...
Consuming the astral tadpole doesn't automatically transform you into a full illithid. You'll have to go out of your way for this.
I'm playing Dark Urge. Just wondering if there's something bad about being Dark Urge and going level 3 illithid. Because I am playing a bad guy but I'm not a tentacle Cult bad guy lol.
None, for half illithid. Just don't go full squid.
