I love the way this trailer establishes scale, which is really hard to do with a spaceship. It starts with a warsat, something we know and see in the game to be like the size of a car, which then falls into this asteroid, which is shown to dwarf the warsat, and the asteroid then drifts down, getting smaller and smaller until it the explosion is makes when it crashes against the dreadnought is miniscule. In just a few seconds, you already see just how big this ship is
You must note the ship is cut off until the very end, to give the impression it is too big to fit into frame.
Yep. Oryx's dreadnought is considered one of the largest ships in science fiction. Said to be up to 3500kilometers long. Just for reference, the larger Death Star 2 is 160 kilometers and the Covenant capital of High Charity is 385.

The interesting thing about that asteroid is that it looks suspiciously like that comet that NASA landed a robot on in 2014. 67p. If that's intentional than we have a size of that rock at a little over 4km wide.
What makes it even more horrifying is the revelation. The teaser finishes off by telling you that this new enemy is out for vengeance against you, before slowly showing what it is you saw at the beginning. As the scene continues, you can't help but lower your jaw as the horrifying realization of just how screwed you are sets in.

yep, to me destiny 1 will always be the better game, although d2 had an ok story, but for some reason the enemies in d2 feel, off, like there is no difference in what faction you fight, they all act the same, i miss d1 where each faction felt different to play against, where say the cabal felt tanky and their hits felt meaty and slow, or the hives swarm tactic to weaken you up and bruisers to finish you, the new game just doesn't have that, and i blame poor level design

I really like this trailer. When the music intensifies as Oryx arm is lighting up gives me goosebumps. I miss this dark vibe that The Taken King had. D2 does not have dark enough feel to it.

TheSpongeyFrog i compared it to the hive tombships that were flocking around the Dreadnaught. And a single tombship is roughly 1.5x the size of Halo's pelicans/phantoms

The cinematography of that last one dude... showing us the little pod in space... against that “huge asteroid” and as it gets farther and farther away.. it shows you the scale of the ship... TRULY AMAZING. And the MUSIC... oh my lord. The ending gives me goosebumps every time.

The Destiny we were all expecting is finally coming. The trailers are just mindblowingly story driven and the changes that will be implemented are spectacular. Finally... the game I love has stepped up and made me love it even more now. I cannot even wait till the taken king drops.

@Phoenix yeah but look back to the Trailer Beyond Light promised what it showed I know it wasn't the best but even if we only get what was show into the Trailer it will be better look to Europa it's looks good but it's boring because it's empty and just snow Savathûn Thron World Looks Amazing and if it is Big with new Weapon Crafting New Campaign Difficult Options Nice Weapon Design with good Perk not like from the Europa Weapons I have only have of them because they look bad and are bad if Witch Queen can make only That it will be better then atliest then every D2 DLC and Exotic Armour Bungie knows how to make them good and Exotic Weapons too but Legendary are most not powerful enough or too powerful and if there too powerful there mostly from Raids or Strike what isn't Bad nut the isn't a Reason to Farm the DLC Planet Weapon if there Bad and if Witch Queen can make this really good I'm going to love it and Grind it a lot.

This DLC may have been dethroned by Forsaken and The Witch Queen, but one could argue that we wouldn't have gotten even Rise of Iron without TTK.

Man I miss Destiny 1. I really enjoyed the DLC and all the Hive stuff was cool and I loved the raids, and Destiny 2's DLC's have been pretty disappointing. Like instead of new raids they just add raid lairs, and with Warmind they introduced this powerful Hive Worm God and you literally just shoot it to death after 4 story missions. Crota and Oryx were cool because there was a whole raid you had to go through to really finish them off and they were fun.
