Yezzir! Which was exactly why the owner went ahead with the swap. The original plan was either an SR or 1J, but we got the whole swap for $800, and it would have been dumb to it pass up 🫡.
Tbh we have yet to get that far, because the owner moved a few hours away, to start his new career and there’s been no updates, since the last video :/. The motor mounts we did use, are ISR, and bolted right on. As far as the wiring harness, Wiring Specialties has a harness available, which was going to be used for this swap.
1 and 2 isr 3 isr makes headers for the swap im just now putting mine on so idk if its gonna hit the steering 4 look at hexa motorsports for that 5 i think you use 240 starter
Yes, of course! We’ve been waiting on parts, so it might be a while for the next video on this build, unfortunately. Thank you, for the support and your patience though 🫡.
Basically, we run all 240 stuff in that regard. Wire harness gets sent out to mate with the s13 chassis, but it's all s13. Engine wise, we are running all 350z accessories like starter and alternator ex...
For us, the hood needs to be modified, and we’re more than likely going to have to run hood spacers. You should be able to retain to original hood though, but expect to modify some stuff, depending on the motor mounts, you buy. We went with the ISR Kit, so those won’t work without some slight modifications 🫡. Some aftermarket intake manifolds out there, allow for more clearance too.
@@BoostCoalition Thanks! I am living in Japan so it is not popular on VQ swap. May I know are there any good clearance intake from overseas makers? And do you know about HEXA swap kit? Sorry for so many questions
Ay, That’s doooope! As far as we know, the Kinetix Manifold has clearance, but again, it is possible to retain OEM hood-clearance, depending on what mounts you choose; we just know, that the ISR mounts we used, will require modifications for our hood. No worries about any questions! We’re happy to give some insight, with what we can 🫡. @@BoostCoalition Thanks bro! This is my first time to heard this maker! Japan now it totally fall back on custom car compare with overseas lol. May I know is it also same on VQ35HR?
Nice to see mote people doing this swap. Mine is still ongoing 3 years now lol

4 Ecu wiring?
5 no mods needed for starter?

I also have the same motor Mount and trans Mount kit from isr, did you have to make the clearance for the trans or it was fine ?
Honestly, no, the trans went in it was a struggle, and we probably should have hammered it, but we managed
Will there be a part 3 ? 😬

Curious how much of the VQ stuff do you use like which fuse boxes and relays will stay from the 240 and from the VQ

Hello, may I know is the hood clearance alright for OEM hood for VQ swap? Thanks

That’s craaaazy lol. So it’s actually different and it wouldn’t work on an HR :/.
