Outstanding! Excellent detail video. It is easy and saves money changing your own oil rather than taking it somewhere else. The best part of draining the oil. Just go inside your home and have a cold or hot drink. Relax 15 to 30 minutes and go back, finish up the oil change.
Mr Nick, thank you so much for this video. I'm over here with my pen and notebook taking notes like I'm back in high school because to be very transparent here I don't have the money to go get an oil change I also don't have the money to fix anything I screw up. My car is 11K miles overdue for an oil change. I am extremely nervous about this because I know some stuff about cars I've worked on some cars but never a Lincoln town car. I'm new to this vehicle and the ways of its workings. With me and tasks like this if I'm not confident about it is when I mess up and after watching a video and taking notes I'm heading to Walmart to get my oil filter and I feel I'm confident that I can do this correctly. I thank you for the ability to understand what I'm doing and the confidence that comes with that. I'm actually planning to video myself doing this and put it on my channel but I will definitely update the comments to let you know if I pulled it off or not and any failure of mine is no reflection on you. wish me luck here I go... I got this
For anyone interested Ford recommend the copper oil drain plug washer and 17ft pounds on the oil drain plug. I also just got an 05 p71 intake tube with the baffle delete. Super excited I am.
Great Video Nick, thanks so much, I will now do my own oil Change next time instead of spending $100 bucks. Oil change costs are now CRAZY like everything else. I need to do my Fuel Filter also. Thanks...
@@uhill74 Old oil can be taken back to your local automotive shop or parts store to be disposed of properly. They usually have an oil recycle thing in the back for people to use
No I have yet to change the oil but rule of thumb on this car anytime I have to do anything to it that's going to cause the frame of the vehicle to be higher up than it should be I always turn off the air suspension I think it's just the safest route and usually I won't feed warning to manufacturers directions because I know that they have to say certain things to cover themselves you know liability wise but this is 1 I do heed that warning when they say anything you're doing that raises the frame of the vehicle requires the air suspension to be off like I'm going to follow that 1 because I feel like it is the safest and also I don't have the money to fix it if I screwed up their suspension but I mean that's just me@@mojothehelpermonkey1176
No, in the Town Car, Grand Marquis and Civilian Crown Vic it takes 6 quarts, just like he mentioned in the video. Police spec Crown Vic different story.

Do you turn off the air suspension?
If you are using jacks yes, the switch is located in the trunk on the left
@@lilj5759 thank you. So ramps won’t damage the front air suspension?
