This is an immaculate example of a beautiful American car! I owned a Lincoln LS some years ago and regretted it as it constantly had coil pack issues and a faulty transmission which ultimately led to me getting rid of it. Too bad because it was a beautiful car. That said, I should have got a Lincoln Town Car.

Toyota crush washers are notorious for sticking to the oil pan. Even the dealer oil change idiot doesn't remove it. (But they make sure the filter is retard tight.) The Valvoline restore and protect motor oil is the real deal for higher mileage engines.

The dream of my life to have the last edition of town car

My great uncle who was the Lincoln guy in our family before he passed i use to drive him around in his 2010 Town car pearl white. 2 months before his death he said i can have it because i was the only one in the family that didn't disregard the elders and how i was the only there for him in need. I still have it drive once and while only 17K miles.

The engine and transmission run really well. But over all the car is cheaply made with a lot of plastic parts

For me the Town car was a moving coffin because I made a 30 plus years living with them . I rather would buy one with at least a hundred and fifty thousand that was taken care of with little to no rust. The L model gave a superior ride quality with better traction in ibad weather provided that you have all season tires on them.. now I'm in the market for another one . PS I recommend applying rain x on all your windows and mirrors, apply a good coat of wax on your headlight s and taillights and switch your bulbs out for high density bulbs. I would also put a bigger mirror on the interior and little ones on the outside .

Ive had the pleasure of owning 17 Lincolns in my lifetime. My current is an 03 Executive and a 05 Signature Limited. They Both Are Great Vehicles. The 03 has 134k miles and the 05 has 163k miles and i wouldn't hesitate to take either one on a long road trip

The person doing this video is incorrect. That Make and model Lincoln Town car was made before the date he gave. I own a 1999 Lincoln Town Car Cartier in practically showroom condition. It has very low miles and everything about it is beautiful because it has been garaged and I keep up with maintaining what needs to be done. Two years ago I had a ceramic coating applied and the car was detailed from front to back. It has been paid off for many years and I absolutely refuse to sell it and buy a newer car. I love it.

For anyone interested Ford recommend the copper oil drain plug washer and 17ft pounds on the oil drain plug. I also just got an 05 p71 intake tube with the baffle delete. Super excited I am.

I been using my 2004 Lincoln signature Sedan as a Limo Service in Arizona for four years with. Just change tires due to summer weather in four years I put 200,00 miles on it , Now I’m back in Illinois , I have a 2003 lincoln town car Executive , it’s like a muscle car of Lincoln , the only thing is like this cars are their smoother rides , even my wife I bought her a lot to f cars , but she said Lincoln town cars are the best ride the best prices and no issue’s . I like the 4.6 Engine 💕🇵🇭🇺🇸

You could get an add on. Kit to link your phone to the stereo for hands free phone use. I assume it was blue tooth based, but you had to buy the adapter from Ford! I have looked but you cannot find it available now!

I say no way. Keep it stock and keep it very quiet. You want a loud exhaust get a Mustang but a TC is for a relaxing drive and if you take that away you will hate it.

I called our local Toyota dealer about Oil Filter cost and they had really good prices under $6, however they were quoting me a filter with the F1 designation versus N1 which I found odd. They said that the F1 was a bit longer and the N1 was a filter they used for the ‘Toyota Care’ changes. Anyone know more about such? I do see that F1 is approved for the RAV4 Hybrid for an alternative, still find it strange so many different ‘Toyota’ alternative part number’s. Thanks for anyone who is in the know!

Thanks for all your-insight on the Town Cars. I stumbled across a 2006 Designer at a local auction last month. 1 owner all maintenance records 34500 miles , bought it yesterday for 9600.00, what an impressive vehicle!

I have a 1997 town car cartier myself. During a 4 hour roadtrip i decided to check my average fuel economy using my digital dash, it stated 26mpg. I thought, "that can't be right". I manually calculated it when i pulled up to the gas station. I was getting 27mpg on the highway! Unfortunetly, where I live, daily driving, I don't even get half of that.

Btw you got a GREAT deal on that car!!! I wouldn't worry about the trunk alignment as long as it isn't leaking but obviously the crack did need to be addressed urgently.

Great video and I can relate. I'm in the process of sorting a 22k mile 2000 Cartier I just bought. Don't forget to check for corrosion under the chrome fender flares. Some clip on, which is a much better approach that does minimal harm (if any), some are drilled to the wheel well lip like the ones that were on mine. Since I bought my car to daily drive in MA, I took the flares off and there is rust just starting around the holes. I'm taking the car to a body shop this week to have those holes repaired, filled and painted so no rust spreads and I'll be good to go for many years to come.
