    This is by far the best video of entrelac that I've seen. It's perfectly explained especially the different squares. The square drawing idea it's brilliant because you can understand the concept better. Thank you much. Subscribed to you channel!!!!

      I tried to make it as easy as possible for people to understand the construction of the different kinds of blocks that make up a C2C entrelac pattern. I am glad you like it :)

    I am so happy to have found your channel! I learned basic crochet stitches from my mum many years ago, but I never used them. Decades later, I have a renewed interest in the craft after seeing a few UA-cam videos. Now, I am literally hooked, especially on Tunisian crochet. I am so happy to find someone who gives this more than passing attention. Know that your videos and work are much appreciated! Thank you from a new & enthusiastic subscriber!

      Thank you for your kind words Gregory. They mean so much to me :) I discovered Tunisian crochet a little over a year back and I am learning new things everyday. I am happy to be able to share what I have found and learnt so far. I would love to see what you make so, if you get a chance, please share some pictures of your makes with me.

    Thank you so much for making this video! I plan on making myself a blanket. Changing colors every block. I have a scheepjes-cahlista sample color pack with 109 colors. I plan to use each color randomly at least 2 to 3 times if I can. It’s because of your video I think I can do this. You explained this very well! Thank you again!!

    • @KnitterKnotter
      @KnitterKnotter  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, absolutely! You could make a chart with as many squares you'd like and then mark them with the type each square will be and you can go from there. I have a pattern in the works for quite some time now but I haven't had a chance to release it yet. If you have any trouble figuring it out, you are welcome to reach out to me at knitterknotter@gmail.com.

    Is there a way to do Tunisian entrelac so that the stitches alternate direction like in knitted entrelac? (Knitted entrelac looks sort of woven.) This is a really cool technique, but you can get the same visual end result with basic intarsia color changes or JAYGO strips. It would be cool to mimic knitted entrelac more closely. Not sure if that's even possible. Thanks for your excellent videos. I'm learning a lot!

    • @KnitterKnotter
      @KnitterKnotter  Рік тому

      That sounds interesting but, I am sorry, I don't understand how to work the entrelac technique in knitting very well so I won't be able to answer your question. The woven look does look very good! if you figure out how to mimic it in Tunisian crochet, please share it with me. I will be very interested in learning how you did it.

    On the type 2 square is it pull through 2 across or pull through 1 then pull through 2 across?

    • @KnitterKnotter
      @KnitterKnotter  6 місяців тому

      Pull through 2 across for type 2 squares since we are not building an edge, we are joining with an existing square instead.

    could this be done with bigger squares

    • @KnitterKnotter
      @KnitterKnotter  4 роки тому +2

      Yes, based on your gauge you will have to figure out the number of stitches and rows to make a square of the size you want. Once you have figured that out, you can use the same technique for the larger squares.

    On the left outside sq. #3 the return pass starts with pull through one but on inside sqs. #4 the return pass starts with pull through 2..is this correct?

    • @KnitterKnotter
      @KnitterKnotter  11 місяців тому +1

      That's right, anywhere you are making the left edge of the project you'd start with a pull through one.

    any tips on how to stop it from "leaning" to the left? i can't figure out what i'm doing wrong 😭

    • @KnitterKnotter
      @KnitterKnotter  Рік тому

      I have had one more person ask the same thing. I am not sure why it would lean to the left but my guess is that it is a tension issue. Could you try a larger hook and see if that works out better? Also, I recommend blocking which usually works for me to fix a slight tilt in my projects. I hope one of these will work for you.

    Hi, could you active Spanish-language subtitles. Thanks

    • @KnitterKnotter
      @KnitterKnotter  4 роки тому +1

      Hi, I am sorry but I don't know Spanish. There is one thing you could try:
      1. Turn the Subtitles on
      2. Click on the Settings gear, click on subtitles, then select the autotranslate option. That will let you choose Spanish and I am hoping that the translation will be good enough for you to follow the tutorial.
      Let me know if I can do anything else to help.

      @@Sandycharo I tried looking at the different settings that are available to me and I can't find a setting to autotranslate to a different language. The parts that are repetitive are sped up. There is an option to watch the videos on UA-cam in slow motion - if you hit the gear at the bottom right corner, you can change the playback speed. I hope this helps.

    why is it curling when im making it

    • @KnitterKnotter
      @KnitterKnotter  4 роки тому +1

      Tunisian crocheted projects naturally curl because of the way the stitches are made. I recommend going up a hook size (use a hook at least 2 sizes bigger than what's recommended for the yarn). If it still curls a little, you could try blocking it.

      Hello Clerice, I will keep this in mind for my future videos. For this one, you could reduce the playback speed and see if that works better for you. You need to click on the gear at the bottom, click on 'Playback speed' and pick a number less than 1.
