Great Videos Zack and Cindy, I am considering from Toronto, Canada to the USA North Carolina, beautiful neighborhoods and houses at affordable places. Here in Canada housing is a complete joke where a 50 year old run down house goes for 1.6 million dollars. Its completely insane. The government is not building affordable housing for the common man. Great job you guys keep rocking.
Traffic in downtown Durham is not bad! It's a lot better than Raleigh. I'd love to talk about schools with you as well! Cindi was a teacher and has a lot of great knowledge about the school system here. There are a lot of options when it comes to schooling in the Triangle and it can get somewhat confusing to discus here in the comment section, but our number is 919-694-4228 if you want to reach out to us!
Hi Sokhom! Thanks for watching the video! There are some great options downtown Durham for renters. There are several great apartment complexes that put you in close proximity to some really great amenities downtown (Cortland Bull City, Foster on the Park Apartments, etc).
My husband will retire in 16 months and he loves to work in the yard. I need medical care often and need specialists for my care. Where would you recommend? We want space between neighbors.
Hi! Anywhere in the triangle will bring you close to great healthcare! Duke Hopsital (if that is where he'll be is fairly central in Durham so any Durham address could suit you well! We love North Durham if you are looking for something with a little more yard! Check out our North vs South Durham video for more on that! :) You can also shoot us a message and we can set up a time to chat about things specifically!
Very informative video, thanks. We would like to see a video of new construction, high rise condos in the Durham area. We are just 2 people so 1200 square feet is sufficient with a den and modern solar panels , covered parking lot, gas water heaters. We would appreciate the information.
Thanks for watching! That is a great video idea. We will add it to the list! If you have specific questions about the condos available or the area in general, feel free to give us a call or text! Our number is 919-694-4228
Is there a limitation in the number of floors that a developer can build? We are not seeing new construction high rise condos/planned projects in our searches in your area. Why? Your point of view will be helpful.
@@rjnsn5121 There are some new construction condos downtown, as well as resale condos. Highrise is somewhat subjective since Durham does not have a ton of highrise buildings. One City Center is the tallest you will find in Durham. If you have any more specific questions it will be easier to text us or call us!
Hey Zack and Cindy, thanks for all these helpful videos. I’m looking to move to the Durham area. I am currently living in Boston Massachusetts. I’m a single mother and looking for a affordable 2 bedroom apartment in a decent area since I do have a 11 year old. Any ideas of apartment complex’s??
This is the area I want to move to,,, ranch style (Or as close as possible) I love Brick,,, and. LARGE LOT,,, we have 2 small dogs,,, my daughter wants a woodsy , park type,, so she can ride her bike,,, not to much city crowding,, and I am retired
Thank you for these videos! My husband and I are seriously thinking of moving to Durham / Chapel Hill from Los Angeles for early retirement - we have family in the area. Will we liberal west coasters feel comfortable in Durham? : )
There is a LOT of industry here! Duke is the major employer and offers a wide range of jobs in Durham that aren't just medical. Outside of that, a lot of employment comes from the RTP area which houses a lot of pharm and tech companies. Something for everyone in the triangle!
Be prepared to drop a $50.000 down in due diligence money and overpay that amount from the original listing price. The homes in Durham are either old and small or town homes. The jobs here don't pay jack....if I didn't have the 100% veterans disability it would be hard to survive. I liked the DMV much more can't wait to come back in 4 years when my wives' contract is up. We are originally from New York. These prices are now much higher.

Nice vid. You should do a video about Wake Forest.
Thanks for watching! We'll definitely add Wake Forest to the list!
Duke Park is good if you wanna hear nonstop highway traffic from I-85.
Thanks for watching, Jeff!

Parkwood would be a great addition to this list! Thanks so much for watching!
I'm looking in Zillow and don't see anything for sale in Duke park
It’s a pretty small area so there’s not always inventory! Thanks for watching the video!
Out of curiosity... Are there any build restrictions in Woodcroft? Such as size and style of the home?
There are restrictive covenants in Woodcroft!

Durham is very liberal
Forgot Duke Forest
Thanks for watching! That is a great area too!
Durham is now super expensive , bought my home in 2017 for 150k, had to bid 11k over asking price. Now they claim its worth 297k lol
Thanks for watching! It’s definitely getting more expensive here! Glad you were able to get a home back in 2017!
@@raleigh-durhamnc Thanks but even back then It took a very long time to find a house
are there good jobs there???
