It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.
I have done similar on old wood shelves we'd made years ago to hold bird cages on, After I got out of raising birds, I wanted to repurposed the wood shelves they were still very much usable, but they were ugly being just plywood, I got some of this similar stuff at my Local Dollar tree, They were smaller due to the actual use was to line the bottoms of inside of cabinets, but it worked perfectly for what I needed it for, My store didn't have many themes/colors to choose from but I grabbed a couple that looked like marble then one was black and white with some swirl design, The marble one now houses all my extra small kitchen appliances, and the other was used in my office :) simple to do , but like you said at the beginning you have to make sure there are no little bits of anything because it won't come out right, since mine was straight plywood, I ran a sand paper block over top of each shelf to get rid of the rough feeling so it would stick better.
Wow- you done awesome !!! & you’re absolutely right, that would have been a pretty penny if you had to buy it out of a store. I’ve had my paper laying on my island for 4 days now scared to death to even attempt it lol.... I’m sure you made it look easy but I’m glad to have come across your video.... wish me luck !!!!

Sometime heat can help but isn't always needed. It depends on the thickness and pliability of the vinyl. :)
