Your tips on the overlaying bit were very helpful. I wish you would have done the bevel edge and sides.. that's what I'm really dreading..!

So easy to restore that table. This is quality butcher block solid wood. Just light sanding will give you brand new table top.

Yes but It in my craft room and will destroy it with paint and product. This protects the wood and someday if I move it out of craft room it can be restored

Shalom from Texas, doing a DIY project on a table set that we got for free and is fake wood I think is plywood and wood paper on it. So I'm thinking either I just clean and re-touch or put a new table type of wood paper vinyl.

I love that you used the keurig/ spice rack spinner for paint. Clever!

Would you put this on a dining room table (is it resistant to food)?

Yes, it would work really well on a dining room table and make it very easy to clean up

Do you think this would work on classroom tables that students would be using? I am teacher and I inherited some student tables instead of desks . The only thing is each table is a different color of brown. I would like to put something on the tables to give the room more cohesiveness.

Hello, my table has a split in the middle for a leaf that I no longer have. Should I cover separately and slide together or should I just cover the whole length of the table as 1 piece which will cover the split? And does it matter which direction the grain goes?

I would cover the whole table . This is a nice method as it is removable

I have been wondering the same, and hoped to hear the answer now.
The rounded edges just are not logical. Woodworkers have to (most of the time) square them anyway, which costs time and material.
Personally, I would never buy lumber with rounded edges, if I need straight edges.
In Europe I've never seen lumber with rounded edges.

@@OurUpcycledLife Something strange happened. I haven't watched this video yet. And the comment I wrote, therefore, didn't belong to this video, but to the video of Steve Ramsey, a UA-cam woodworking content maker, about why 2X4 have rounded edges.
I'm going to have a look if my comment has appeared also there. In the meantime I've watched your video. It's a great idea what you did.
      Thanks for sharing the video.
