Thanks, learned a few things there. One thing missed was the rear fan setting. This is great if you have a dog in the back seat to keep them cool. Just traveled halfway across Canada with our pup and it was essential.
Another very useful video! Also cleared up why I don't have the Bioweapon Defense Mode icon. I was wondering about that and a little disappointed it's missing from the Model 3.
Tesla should change to quick double tap (instead of hold) to turn off CC. Its hard to focus driving when you have to find the area and hold!
Thank you I just pick up the motor light on Monday and I spent an hour every night on the driveway to learn the car. One thing I learned is you can just press the rightof the scroll on the wheel, an activiate anything with the voice control
Is it possible to split the fanspeed for both sides?
This was sooo helpfu!
thanks!
I have a Model 3 RWD is there any way to keep the passenger vents(a/c) on when getting in the car w no passenger or do I have to always click on the passenger vents to turn them on? Thanks
Awesome info! Will i have to change this for both mine and my girls driver profiles?
Great review. Love it
Thanks so much!
As a longtime Tesla share older and recent owner of a Tesla model Y I think their climate control sucks. I mainly drive by myself every single time the airflow is on the driver side, even if I click passenger side there’s no way to control the back airflow unless somebody sits there, I’m about to put some weights on the backseat so I could get some air flow in the back sitting on the seat my back gets all sweaty because there’s no air flow in the back. They should have a way we can override and have the airflow to go through all outputs in the car, even though you click the passenger side to activate it it gets deactivated a short time after
Interesting. Might be a software “fix”.
How having the air atvthe rear working would make your back not to sweat?? The driver seat will prevent any circulation anyway! Maybe you have the heated seat on.
You forgot to mention the air direction on the left side of the screen.
Is there a way to turn on the defrost without it automatically going into auto and putting the vents on full blast?
Dude, do you have your microphone outside the car??
Is there a way to turn off the passengers side once you turn it on? Or do you have to turn it all off to get rid of it (solo driver)
It appears that's the case currently. I wish you could like double tap or hold down on the passenger side to turn it off. Will probably see this in an update at some point
Does it give you an option to display/set temperatures in Celsius, even if you’re in the US of A, and your speedo and ODO are set in miles? (My wife is from China, and I’m “Scientifically-minded” so I’ve gotten to where I think in Celsius.)
Yes click on the car icon on the bottom left hand corner, then click on display, then scroll down until you find those options 👍
This may sound like a stupid question but on a regular car you have 2 different buttons one for AC and another for Heat. How do you activate the heat in winter? 🤔
I think you just set the temperature you want and the car figures it out.
when i put mine in auto, i dont get the any options for low medium or anything, it just says cooling down
I never noticed the arrows to the right and left of the number!
How can you avoid heating the car when outside temp goes down just by a degree car auto heats up. Unlike the other cars.
How do you turn off the airflow for the passenger when they dont want airflow?
Good question!
While he’s doing the demo, he doesn’t have a passenger sitting in the car so the airflow there is off. He shows turning it on by tapping it. But when there’s a passenger in the car with you, there doesn’t seem to be an option to turn off the airflow on their side. Guess the workaround is to redirect the airflow on their side so it mostly misses them (like pointing up all the way and out to the sides all the way).
open the full climate menu and hold down on their vent until it deactivates
@@shadowdev3023This doesn't work on my m3p 2019... I'm up to date with advanced software too
I wish my 22MS had the capacity to turn off the air vent on the passenger seat. Sadly, it cannot do so independently of the drivers air vent.
Would have like more details.
Different between defog defrost
Is there a wiper defrost
How to defrost mirroirs
Can they be defrost with the app
Etc
dude every time i hit auto. Instead of staying on the air blowing towards myself and the passengers, it automatically goes to my feet and i can’t get the heat to work otherwise!!! What do i do
How to heat up your feet in Tesla Y
How do you turn off the stupid HVAC ai? I say no AC and 2 minutes later, it's back on. Because ai is smarter than me...
Tesla heating is junk. It doesnt heat up anything. Fans sound like jet but i feel super cold
I’m glad you said that, just got mine a month ago. Windows fog up, poor selection of controls. Should have full control of dials not what Tesla think I want. No vents to clear the side windows and cool air blows randomly mid journey.
Wish my fan speed had arrows instead of a slider.🫤
