The look on your face when Paul Stanley hit his falsetto is the same that he's gotten from millions of fans since most likely before your parents were born. He's in his 70s now, he doesn't quite have that vocal range/power anymore, but he will go down as one of the greatest musical frontmen of ALL TIME.
I enjoy seeing the reactions of today's youth listening to the music of my youth.. It amazes me how the youth of today are able to relate to the music from my youth.
Dude, you couldn't be more correct !!!! My 17 yr old daughter is stealing all my old concert Tee's.... I've turned her on to KISS and a whole slew of the "Good Stuff"
Old school KISS fan here with a recommendation. 'I Was Made for Loving You' was a unique pop/disco sound KISS played with back in '79, with little reflection to 95% of their overall sound. If you liked this song, you will most likely love their album 'Unmasked', Paul Stanley's solo album, and the rest of 'Dynasty'. I loved all of KISS's different experiments (even the Elder!) because of the variety. But if you played 'Unholy' or 'I Love it Loud', you'd think it was a totally different band. But, hey, you may be like me and love the diversity of their sound, so have fun checking them out!
I don't get how all reactors start with this song for their first KISS reaction. It's not very representative of their sound, and is certainly not their most popular song. Do reactors just follow each other? I think that's it.
Nick seed Actually it doesn’t. Yes Ace’s solo album was the best selling one out of the four, but he has no range when it comes to singing. He even said he doesn’t like to sing lead in his own band.🤷🏾♂️
I love KISS, also you can hear, Detroit rock City, God of Thunder, Nowhere to Run, Creatures of the Night, you have a lot to hear with KISS and so many styles in the same band. Greetings from Argentina!!(sorry for my English)
Can't know KISS till u hear 'Detroit Rock City' n 'Rock and Roll All Nite' . .. Live of course! Great reaction, cam engagement, etc.. Stay on it gurrrl!
First all of you are absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for reacting to my 18 year son’s and my all time favorite band. You mentioned even tho you are not familiar with KISS that they are known worldwide. In concert they introduce themselves as “the hottest band in the world”. It makes me appreciate having had the opportunity for my son and I to have met all four original legendary members.
No one can listen to kiss without loving there music for the first time. I liked your reaction to Kiss. I am a big fan of Kiss.💋🪐🇺🇲🎤🎸💯📺🥁🥰😍🤩 Thank you for the video I love to see people's reactions for the first time listening to Kiss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😀
I've been a KISS fan since 1975. This song is somewhat of a departure for them. It was initially panned by a lot of KISS fans but it still became a classic.
Kiss being SUCH a visual band, alot of people who react to kiss seem like they dont even seethe screen, how can you watch this and not have a big reaction to there BIGGEST selling point THE VISUALS there make up there antics,
.....saw Kiss 1976 tour, they blew up the stage, I was 16, fire and blood, that one Gene went crazy spiting out a lot of blood on a on a crane over the crowd, good bass, Paul jumped so high and smash a guitar. Ace the lead guitar solo I can see it in my memory, a lot of smoke came out of the Les Paul guitar. We have photos of it
You can’t really go by this song - while great in its own right, they just did a disco style song to show how easy it is to write one that’s a hit. You really should go back to something from the Destroyer album, great stuff. Still great music with a great driving beat. Some of their stuff after this song was good too - Lick it Up, Let’s Put the X in Sex - you can even see them without their makeup and what a pretty boy Paul Stanley is.
Same, I've seen them 3 times, and was with the original members all 3 times. The Reunion tour, Psycho Circus, and the "Farewell" tour. Like a month after I saw them in the farewell tour is when Peter got fired.
It took 42 years but I finally get to see them. The first time the band I was in had a gig the same night so we got to deal with the overflow of folks that couldn't make the show. The second time recently before the world ended, my "friend" and I got turned around going over the mountain pass in February. Sept 24 I finally get to see them. The band got flack for selling out during the disco era with this song.
It is somehow funny, that time many KISS fans were offended by the song. It was too "disco" for them. I remember when my cousins discussed this, that the "hardest band" made a song with a disco drums and bass section. People took music much more serious back then. The 70s were the time, when people started to have stereo systems in every family's house, and people shared their LPs to record them with cassette recorders that often were built into these systems. But finally, "I was made for loving you" obviously became the most known song of them, ever. Actually, an evergreen that still plays on radio etc., it is part of the 70s music history and the chorus sticks in your ear like forever... I don't remember another KISS song THAT memorable. "Rock and roll all nite" has also a very strong chorus that will come back into mind when you hear the beginning. These chorus'es are also strong because of their lyrics, you can sing along very soon and it does mean something to people. They are so iconic as a rock band. If you were alive in the late 70s and haven't heard this song, you have lived under a rock in the deepest desert.
Good on you that you're getting into KISS, just be aware that this song really isn't representative of their "normal" sound. Big, loud, heavy rock is their regular territory.
Give Let Me Go Rock n Roll a listen from the KISS Alive album. After you do, get back to me. That album put them on the map. I was very lucky to see them like 15 times. First time being the Dynasty tour back in 1979. Been a fan for years. Met Ace, Peter, Gene and Paul. All cool in their own little way as well. Very entertaining to say the least. Welcome to the KISS army. Now go rock out.
Though this is one of my favorites, it is not a typical KISS song at all. In fact, many die-hard KISS fans were, shall we say, less than pleased with this direction into the disco world. Nonetheless, I still love it!
LIKEWISE! Believe it or not, THIS was the song that "(officially) got me into rock/metal" in 1979 (although Gene Simmons' solo album had some involvement, as well).
Your reaction was the same as all three of my kids when they first heard KISS. My oldest daughter is named Shandy...after the KISS song of the same name.
They were 70s. The first I had was an album called "Love Gun", then I got 3 more that all have 2 albums, Alive, Alive II, and Double Platinum. They were great for Halloweens too... I dressed like Ace and took my guitar to school with me haha...
Your first time listening to kiss song cool I like the song just never heard of kiss in real life just my first time listening to kiss song now this is my second time listening to kiss's song is so cool
Paul Stanley (The Star Child - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Gene Simmons (The Beast - Bas Guitar, Backing Vocals), Peter Criss (The Cat - Drums), and Ace Frehley (The Spaceman - Lead Guitar) were the original KISS line up. The only members of KISS who have always been a part of the band are Paul and Gene. This is considered a "disco song" because of the rhythm and the extra instrumentation (you can hear some strings in the background). Some great KISS songs..."Sure Know Something", "Love Gun", "God Gave Rock and Roll To You", "Rock and Roll All Night", "Lick It Up", and "Beth" (which is one of the prettiest melodies ever, with a lyric that is heartbreaking...you wouldn't think it's a KISS song, as it has strings, piano, and Peter Criss singing, who is not a strong singer).
I was playing the drums on my older brother's bed when Double Platinum came out.. such a silly but unforgettable memory.. Strutter is also similar to this and good.
The thing that you will notice about KISS is that no two albums have exactly the same sound style. If you want really raw sound, look for songs like Deuce, Strutter, Black Diamond.if you want heavier but more polished, go for I Want You, Got Love For Sale, Shock Me. If you're in the market for REALLY HAVY music, try Rocket Ride, I Love it Loud, Unholy, Parasite, and War Machine. Anthems include Rock and Roll All Nite, Shout it Out Loud, Flaming Youth. These are just very small samples.

I Was Made For Lovin You was out in 1978!! The singer is Paul Stanley, bass player is Gene Simmons, Lick it Up, Crazy Crazy, Nights, and I Love It Loud are worth a look lovely lady!! 😀 😀 🤘 🤘 🎸
I don't think these guys have even HAD a keyboardist, unless one of them also played some piano or keyboards before and it's only used in very few songs. I dunno. Edit: Okay, the band DID have someone play the piano during one of their concerts. Anyway, Netflix has nearly finalized a deal to produce a KISS biopic - with close cooperation from Gene Simmons (The Demon) and Paul Stanley (Star Child) - called "Shout It Out Loud", which will apparently be focusing on the band's formative years. Definitely look forward to that.
This song was the late attempt from a great hard rock band at getting in on the disco bandwagon. Unfortunately by the time it dropped, America had suddenly turned anti-disco. Still a damn good song. Lead singer on this one (and almost 2/3 of their songs) was Paul Stanley, aka "the Starchild." This would be a great rabbit-hole to go down.
As I’m sure you’ve already been told, this song was a different era of KISS. They were much harder in their previous albums. This album, “Dynasty” was released in 1979. Go back to the album, “Destroyer” if you really want to hear what they continue to do today. “Dynasty” was definitely a great album from when they wanted to dabble in disco. It worked!

This song is actually disco, Kiss did it just to prove they could but in the words of John Mayer, the classification doesn't matter, if it sounds good, it's good.
Paul Stanley is the singer in this song but all four of them have sang lead vocals for their songs Paul Stanley yes great vocalist he was even in the Toronto Canada version of Phantom of the opera
Paul Stanley is the singer Gene Simmons is the Bass Ace Frehley was the other guitarist and Peter Chris was the drummer check out "Rock n Roll all nite" "Beth" and "God gave rock n roll to us"
Fun fact. This is the only KISS song that Gene Simmons "The Demon" actually hated making. He said he couldn't stand the whole "Do do do do do dodo do do" parts of the song. Him being the "Demon" He couldn't see fans seeing him as being a tough guy while singing it.
Kiss would not bow down to Disco, instead they put it in the back seat ! This song was played at more disco then Disco music..!!!You look like an Angel!! "Cheers from Nova Scotia Canada Eh !"
This is a one off disco song they did. It was right when the band was sorta breaking up. Two of the four guys were soon gone after this. This is basically the end of phase 1 of the band.
If you want to go back to KISS's roots (I call it that because my first KISS album was Destroyer), you should check out "God of Thunder", "Detroit Rock City", "Shout It Out Loud", and, of course, "Beth".
i like the fact dat music betwen 60s and lets say 90s stil is so popolar. i dont know mutch abowd aktual misic but i get the feeling moust of them are like Mayfly you know
Kiss was so big they tried to dominate even the Disco scene, but fortunately they are a true Rock band and only put this one song out. Listen to "Detroit Rock City" and watch the movie "Detroit Rock City" also "Beth" "Parasite"
This is a good song, but it's "disco Kiss". Not all of their songs are like this. These guys ruled back in the 70's. People either loved or hated them. I love them! if you're going into a Kiss phase... Kiss Alive! album is a great place to start.
Awesome reaction! I’m really glad you enjoyed KISS. Their live performances are EPIC! Here’s another more recent one for you to react to ua-cam.com/video/Hp7ORpIJ5i4/v-deo.html
Welcome to the Kiss Army.
Paul Stanley is the Star Child
Gene Simmons is the Demon
Ace Frehley is the Space Ace
Peter Criss is the Catman
The live events are over powered as hell.

Creatures of the Night and Unmasked. Best albums ever. I barely remember those years in college thanks to these guys.
I don't get how all reactors start with this song for their first KISS reaction. It's not very representative of their sound, and is certainly not their most popular song. Do reactors just follow each other? I think that's it.

All of Kiss’s original lineup can sing
Lead singer Paul Stanley
Bassist Gene Simmons

Drummer Peter Criss
Actually Ace is the worst of the lot, even he said he did some of his studio singing lying on his back. True story.

This was the closest KISS came to doing a disco song. Most of their stuff tends to be more rock oriented plus a few nice ballads.

i like the fact dat music betwen 60s and lets say 90s stil is so popolar. i dont know mutch abowd aktual misic but i get the feeling moust of them are like Mayfly you know
It's just about the greatest song ever, so there is no way you couldn't like it.
63 years old and still a Kiss fan.
especially charisma and magic touch..
I was made for loving you is my favorite song
kiss was one of my favourite in my teens
Kiss Is my favorite Band of All Time
Kiss. Was favorite ban was kid. Listen to them as kid
I am a big fan of kiss and you should do a reaction to kiss's song rock and roll all night and party everyday
Kiss was so big they tried to dominate even the Disco scene, but fortunately they are a true Rock band and only put this one song out. Listen to "Detroit Rock City" and watch the movie "Detroit Rock City" also "Beth" "Parasite"
That was Paul Stanley and you should do a reaction to the song by kiss called:"rock and roll all night and party everyday "
