I got hypnotised to stop smoking.
The facilitator asked me why I wanted to stop and what i didn’t like about it.
I told her that I’m aware that the cigarette chemicals are eating through my body like maggots. She used my words in the verbally guided session.
So now a cigarette is equivalent to a cup of maggots.
I’ve held a cigarette with an outstretched arm for a girlfriend who was quickly going to the restroom.
There’s no way I’m putting those maggots to my mouth.
That was about 15 years ago 🙌
The day of my appointment I chain smoked all day up until 5pm. I was at a very distressing family funeral.
I was hypnotised at 5:30 and never looked back.
I walked out of that office as a non-smoker.
    Miraculous 🙌

Excellent. Almost 40 years ago now I knew an old dentist who wanted to quit smoking. My dad sent him to a friend who was a stage hypnotist and magician. The magician gave the dentist almost exactly the same mental scenario. Worked perfectly. He was elated to be free of the habit.

I had a fear of spiders until Covid hit and my kindergartener, at the time, couldn’t go anywhere or do anything, so I was constantly trying to find ways to entertain her and teach her about the world around her. Fortunately for us, we had a gorgeous giant golden orb weaver create an enormous beautifully designed web on our front porch. We learned everything about her online and would catch grasshoppers and feed her. Eventually, a park ranger came over to visit and we were able to hold her. It was a beautiful experience. She was as light and delicate as a human hair on your skin. We named her Aurelia and even today, we talk about her and cherish the year we were able to enjoy her. Since that experience, I am no longer afraid of spiders. ❤

Wonderful! I've utilized self hypnosis to amazing results. I started slow with sleep, in that I suggested that I would feel like I slept 8 hours even if it was only for 2 hours. It worked so then I applied it to cease drinking to excess, it worked and then I healed a fractured hip of mine over night. It is a truly potent tool for self healing /transformation. I learned self hypnosis techniques from youtube. I do small alterations regularly using auto suggestions to great success. Highly recommend! Thanks Aubrey, Infinite Love & Grattitude🐝🎼🐉

@@cindyloohoo6857 I've not slept well for as long as I can remember. Even as a child I'd stay up all night listening to music and imagining what was to come the following days.
Needless to say when I finally got around to learning self hypnosis it was because I was out of options and very ill. I did not believe in it, yet I decided maybe I don't know about it so I don't believe in it. I suspended my skeptical beliefs and gave it a go. I use it daily, pretty much for anything that I'd like to change or improve. This Doctor speaks truth

    • @Nickelshire
      @Nickelshire 3 дні тому +3

@@mohanhegde Yes, I'll make it this as short as possible. I'm going to preface this by saying before I learned Self hypnosis I did not know a single person ever using it or even knowing someone who did. (besides as a magic trick in Las Vegas maybe).
So I was skateboarding home, I had just gone to the market to pick up dinner/desert/water and I hit this huge crack that I knew was there but didn't account for the extra weight. I slammed onto the concrete without even thinking to brace myself as it came as a surprise. I've never heard my body make such a noise, like a crushing thump that echoed. I've fallen before skateboarding and snowboarding since my youth. I had fractured the other hip the summer previous. It did not occur to use self hypnosis to that degree as I was in a limited mindset. It took around 3 months for that to mostly heal.
As I gain my composure and attempt to stand I notice my Carhartt bag has some holes from the fall and my hip is in a lot of pain. I get home eventually, barely make it up 3 flights of stairs. I called my friend to tell him I need to reschedule our beach trip. I told him what happened and he remembered the previous summer. He then asks me to come over for the night as we were going to the beach the following day with his mother. I get picked up, he helps me with the stairs then I lay down when I get there. I tell his mother what happened and she's telling me go to the hospital. I decline. I had told everyone I knew about my success with Self hypnosis and my friend and his mother were especially intrigued by ceasing drinking to excess. They went to bed and I thought you know what this will be a perfect example of the unlimited potential Self hypnosis have. I access the theta state, the one right before and after sleeping. I declare that it is fractured yet when I wake up not only will I feel fully rested but my hip will be healed. When I awaken 6 hours later I walked into the kitchen to greet my friends mother. We were both in a state of almost disbelief. It worked, it had healed better than the previous hip had.. we went to the beach and had a wonderful time. I had a tiny limp. I'm surmising that because of the non specificity of my declaration in regards to healing of my hip it healed 99%
Which is a blessing in that it reminds me to be very specific when applying Self hypnosis. The remaining 1% I let linger for a few days to remind myself just how much I had changed and my beliefs, changed my reality. I was a very skeptical, negative perspective world view with an open mind yet still limited and limiting to others before Self hypnosis. I apply it to improve myself which then is mirrored back to me in to me by the environment/Universe.
I am Divine, Abundant, Unconditional Loving Kind Mindfulness.
      Remain Blessed

I've used meditation once, for a toothache (one of those excruciating ones that made my entire head throb). I went "into" the pain with as much curiosity as possible, stopped resisting it, and told myself "it's just a sensation" (repetitively). Within probably about 10 minutes, my pain went from a 7 to a 3. Although it didn't completely make it go away, it made it tolerable.

    • @jolaola1987
      @jolaola1987 2 дні тому +3

I did the same thing once!😊
It's interesting because I noticed the tendency to run away from pain or other problems instead of facing it and that makes it worse. Pain isn't the enemy- it's actually a friend that calls for attention, and I know that energy follows attention, and this attention and presence is healing in itself. So since pain begs for my healing attention I honour its request and direct it where it's due.

Hi . Yes I overcame a couple of conditions which docs told me I would never work again
1, an anaphalaxic cond where immune system over reacted to everyday things. Was in a wheel chair. Full anaphalaxic attacks controlled with EpiPen ans steroids anti hystamins. This was when I changed my view and realized we have tools to heal ourselves.trained 3 yrs as a health professional, worked full time.
Unfortunately became I'll with a chronic infection, virtually housebound. Stint in ICU with septaseamia. Then i became iMobile without crutches due to arthritis in my spine. I then returned to ' my seeking' and found NLP' and also went back to practices which I had stopped using while working. Visualisation , Paul mkenna, and also many other influencers who teach about conciousness' eckart Tolle . mooji. But overall everyday you need to practice
1, a meditation practice that resonates with you
2, listen to a healing recording that resonates or NLP' i will try and send link to a couple.
NLP' works even when you are asleep
You should watch richard bandler who founded this technique. I have never been to anyone physically I just found it from books CDs and now we can access on you tube But make sure you VET what you listen to.
This also got me through depression which I suffer still now and again. Paul McKenna, I will make you happy.
Michael sealy help with pain is a good one. I will try and find these links and the healing frequency I listen to when I send healing to others or myself. Remember if you can find a meditation that works for you, this is the key.
      Love and light🙏💜

I thought it meant to feel guilty rather than helpless.?I think I'd rather feel guilty than like im totally helpless. For me, helpless indicates I hv no control over it at all. Just the word helpless, seems like hopeless. Not judging at all, only wondering if this is different for others, if helpless seems like hopeless. If so, would it not mean theres no help, no way to be helped?

I learned that when as a child I accidentally strangled a hamster and I said to my mom I killed it on purpose. Later I wondered why I had preferred to be seen as bad rather than it happened accidentally. The helplessness of the situation was worse for me.
But on the other hand I noticed that sometimes people (also me) would also rather 'feel helpless than guilty' in the sense of learned helplessness, instead of taking responsibility for themselves and their actions/inactions, and instead of just doing something to make up for their fault.

Your body is designed to survive and heals brilliantly whenever it is safe to relax. As soon as you learn to give it the all-clear it will reverse the damage and rebuild. Stress is there because it thinks you said you need it. All we have to do is learn to hear the alarm and find the all-clear signal so that it knows you have it covered. Once the hypnotist teaches you to do this you are ready to experience the miracle that is normal to us.

Aubrey’s reason for hypnosis reminds me of a lesson I was taught in college: we either yield to the natural man (and eat the potato chip) or yield to the spirit. It’s so important to learn to yield to the spirit instead of the natural man. These days, so many people are teaching that happiness comes from yielding to the natural man which is not correct.

Fun fact on hypnosis. They knew for years that the 60 Hz flicker rate of old TV's was hypnotic. In fact they canceled the first version of the Imax like super theater movies with 60 frames per second film on a larger screen because they were afraid people would make the comparison to TV frame rate.

The Western church attempts to put a materialistic, literal frame on a spiritual matter and an infinite God. Infinite does not mean limitless volume or scope of whatever God is defined by man as being, it means incomprehensible; defying definition altogether. I escaped the church and came to know God by experience and still I have barely “touched his robe”. I’m so grateful that I have become aware of who He is so as to not worry about whether I can define or understand him. I obey the God in me, which never fails and always tends toward the good, the kind, the right, the forgiving, and most of all the loving of all starting with myself. Strange how leaving the church bright the Bible alive.

My midwife choose a Hypnobirthing course as the “childbirth ed class”. It was a win/win. If one’s birth was easier, her job was easier.
I ended up having my second child in a “reframed experience for childbirth”, new names for processes and I rocked it (highly hypnotizable). Labor was two hrs start to finish. My partner caught our baby in the bathroom over the self cleaning porcelain birthing stool.
      Mind is powerful!

Aubrey, if you happen to see this, I'd appreciate if you can respond. You said "super ego, or the coach" I'm just curious as to what you mean by that? I can only presume that you are not speaking about the simple awareness, that is our being, the truly gentle coach of our lives. I'd be grateful if you responded. Otherwise, just ease up on any of your self doubts, you're an amazing human being, and if you ever doubt that, I'd like to slap ya. Peace.

Yup, I think hes kinda bussy with directors and actors right now. Reminds me of a through back to the 70's, Hi karate after shave... open shirt with the chest, Gold chain, and kinda is "teaching" hypnosis because he's got a great guest on the show. Always mentions his sexual desire, etc. Just saying cool words, bigger than life hand gestures, basically reminds me of a rehearsed power stance not so much genuine. Chasing every rainbow and not really holding any colors, any hoo, that's how I read him. Seems like a good guy, though. And must be doing something right that the chain looks heavy❤.
      Forgive me😮😊.

The ego is the personality part of ourself .the one we accumulated through life s programming. That takes care of our survival and thus holds fear and negativity,(anger hatred )and such bcoz it s the one that sais " no" to avoid dangerous situations and keep us alive ( rather than fearlessly enthusiastically live life ) the ego is the one that lies and pretends, knows diplomacy .
it's the one that knows separation, individuality more than any other part of us, and acts from that place ( rather than oneness) the only case the ego would choose altruism goodness ,pink glasses is in case it believed that this is a better tactic for personal gain.
So it's not that the ego is always negative ,it can very well be positive IF it learned this way and served itself well through life so far OR otherwise if it weights in the balance that it's harder to impose than succumb, that through kindness there is more safety and some gain whereas through assertiveness is risky and might lose it all.
Ego it's the self serving , life programmed personality

I've been tested time and again in the lab and can't be hypnotized. It's sad, because I'd like to avail of the benefits. Alternatively, maybe one could think of it as a superpower. Perhaps those who can't be hypnotized might not be as susceptible to the influence of others. They might have greater self-ownership.

Late Sixties, we earned a bit of $$ by being guinea pigs. First was how hypnotizable were we? I tested extra hard to hypnotize, but it was because they EEG'd us and did CCTV and this dude came out with a heavy German accent & horn rimmed glasses and swung a pocket watch & said "Your eyes are getting heavy..." And I fell out laughing. I'm easy to hypnotize if I trust you, VERY hard to hypnotize if I don't.

Great episode. And I was disheartened Dr. Spiegel did not affirm or answer much when Aubrey asked about hypnosis used for nefarious reasons by the CIA - MK Ultra, etc. It’s no secret that those programs are real, and I had a sense that the doc didn’t want to talk much on the topic, like he’s hiding something or totally clueless (which seems doubtful). He’s working at Stanford, so I would imagine he’d be exposed to the gov’t programs and knowledge on that.

Potentially helpful information. However, you'd be foolish to trust a "Stanford" psychiatrist with an app that can manipulate your thinking... heard of MK Ultra?! Not to mention the fact that ol' Speigel's dad (Herbert Speigel) was a Columbia University psychiatrist who did work in projects intersecting with MK Ultra and worked alongside Martin Orne who was directly involved in the mind control program. Sounds great on the surface, and may provide aome benefits, but at what cost. Time to wake up people. Lots of wolves in sheeps clothing these days.
