I agree with ya, definitely is less tense when the person you're talking to is hammering you with futile questions. These kids show him love for just a quick chat.
My dad 0:23! So proud to see him w his idol! The way he discovered this too - 50 years later sitting at home. Just put on the ‘Don’t Look Back’ documentary, and bam, there he is..16 year old self on screen, even though it’s so short, what a moment!
I loved how speechless they were. I bumped into Stephen Fry a couple of years ago and I was exactly like that and he was just looking at me waiting for me to say something and I was trying to think of something and realized I had nothing to intelligent to say and just saluted him and walked off again.
My uncle always told me about how he met Dylan. The way he recalled it was that he said "I don't know what to say!" after Dylan said to him "do you think my hair holds magic?", but they cut that bit out. My uncle was with my mother and elder brother, who also appear in the video. The aunt of my future wife is also seen walking in the background. We have a good laugh about it at every family gathering.
Yeah he was like well I was pretty tired last night ... took us six hours to get here... like that's how they end up on hooked on drugs and booze people expect them to party with them everynight everywhere they go. He's trying to be polite and social but can't just satisfy everyones desires.
When Dylan laughs at Tom Jones, the people there starts laughing as well. Haha they don't know exactly what he's laughing about, they just laugh because he laughs.
Does anyone know if there's also a longer clip of it or whether it is from some film? Such a cute clip, Bob looks so peaceful and sweet, but also the fans. I wish there were more videos in which he meets with fans. When the girl says "See you tonight", with a shy laugh, you can hear Bobby laughing just at the very end, I don't really know why, but I think that's very sweet. It's like an answer or something. i hope that my grammar was correct, i'm german.
Relax. Your post was great and made sense. Or how else after 10 years could I have turned up out of the blue and answered you? There are definitely other clips. I saw one where he refused someone an autograph, saying; “You don’t need it. If you did I would give you it.” Just like you and me, he has his off days. He was usually at his crankiest if the press pack were at their dumbest and he wasn’t afraid of letting people know that he was vexed. With that being said, Dylan has mellowed with age and is very measured in his approach.
@catcherinthesky1 The broad Yorkshire accent in there is great - "did y'come in 'car?" - I'm not too far from Sheffield too, pretty cool to think Bob Dylan's been there :)
I love it - he should have said what route did you come on ? oh right, well coz of the road works down on the north ring road if you'd taken the second left off the first island you could have shaved a good five minutes of the journey there Bob.
@fullblowngenius if it wasn't in 'don't look back' then it must have been in '65 revisited' which was extra backstage footage made into a kind of second documentary in the box set thing.
One chance to talk to Dylan, and they blow it. No, he knew what to say. He was just filtering his own his thoughts too much, afraid of saying the wrong thing. Don't be such a wimp.
He sure looks lot more comfortable here than with the media.
I was thinking the same thing it’s not often you see this side of Bobby...
I agree with ya, definitely is less tense when the person you're talking to is hammering you with futile questions. These kids show him love for just a quick chat.
Bob Dylan: "See you tomorrow"
Girl "See you tonight..." Lol

That so awesome!
He didn't know he was in it until decades later ???
Your dad, He reminds me of Vernon Kay.
The fan saying "I don't know what to say" speaks volumes about how much time Dylan gave to his fans.
No it doesnt. You're just a cuck

This is from the movie "Don't Look Back" made of Bob's 1965 Europe Tour. This is just one of many cool scenes.
He’s so gorgeous
Back then, meeting Dylan, well, to me, beyond the realm of reality.

Dylan had that star quality.
That girl wanted to know immediately if he’d be at any clubs afterwards so she could meet up with him again, lol.
The tall chap has the finest old school Sheffield accent I’ve ever heard.
I have a friend who met him ,.I asked her what he was like. She said he was just a person. I could not relate to that. I would freak out.
Such a little guy Bobby (X

It‘s like Jesus came to town
