    I believe this story because I worked for two brothers who were like this. Not physically imposing by any means but just extremely aggressive when they weren’t getting their way. They owned a construction company and would always be damn near fist fighting the other trades over stuff. Yelling at the builder and supervisor. Threatening people. It blew my mind to be around Guys like that because you realize that it actually works. Having some teeth will help you get things you want and nobody really hated them they just knew not to mess with them

    • @bobon123
      @bobon123 Рік тому +26

      It does not actually work. It sometimes work, and it depends on the environment. In few environments, and surely construction work is one of those, it can surely work. You can get the best sandwich, or you can get the easiest job assigned, or you can get a better shift. If these are the kind of objectives you have in life, it actually works.
      But the story also teaches us that the father made time in prison in the past, and there was a 50-50 probability that he would go back again in this case. This does not lead to actual long term achievement.
      To teach your kid to threaten someone instead of accepting your mistake and take responsibility for it leads to low achievements. You might be the alpha dog, but you will still be a dog.
      Real long term achievement is obtained with self control.

      Only works until someone hits you in the face with a hammer which I saw on a roof job as a teen and the dudes teeth went flying I never seen anything like it. If you square up to someone or get bristlely better be ready for the consequences of your actions.
      It's funny I've been doing some form of combat sports since I was 14 and all its done is make me not want to fight anyone in the street ever. I literally can't tell who knows what anymore, I've seen a 16 year old girl tap a biker in sparring, I've seen kids land spinning backfists against adults just the skill level across the board has increased lol

I'm like what are you talking about, I seriously cant fight for shit, you know this, he's like"that pinched neck technique for defence it's crazy, I was trying to knock you out n you somehow knew, to pinch down ya chin in such a way as to protect ya knock out spot, n then when I tried to choke U out the pinched down chin, was block me from choking U out! I was part of an AFSOC MC-130H crew on a mission in Argentina when it all went down. “In between conflicts,” so to speak. Some of my crewmates that day didn’t survive the ensuing years.

    Youngsters, his father was an old-school man, the type you rarely see anymore. When I first started working at 18, during the 80s, these were the guys still running things in most places, they scared the crap out of me. They were usually World War II or Korean veterans; they'd seen it all. This current generation couldn't handle someone like that for five seconds.

      Sure, it's not like kids have been fighting and dying in Iraq and Afghanistan for the past 30 years. But yeah, it's an "older generation thing." There's nothing stoic about what gangsters do. They kill and steal. For every mob movie hero, there's a real-life example of one who killed his wife or stole from his own family.

      The current generation is the most battle tested, and combat experienced than any other generation in this country's history. Then they came home to find their politicians sold out their country by outsourcing their jobs, decimating the middle class, and destroying the economy where only the rich get richer and the poor never get out of poverty.
      Wtf are you talking about?

    im an avid listener of both JRE and all Chris’s shows on the no presh network, Hey Babe & Chrissy Chaos. i can tell chris was nervous. when he turns loose, he’s on another level of entertainment. I’m hoping he gets to go on again at some point, he’ll be so amazing.
    but i feel happy as hell that these two finally got to sit down.
