I'm so glad you're picking up music production. That's amazing. And thank you so much for watching, glad this video could be of use. I do think that Arcade is easy for a newbie to learn. In fact, it's possible to write 8 bars, or even a whole song using only 1 Line. Where you might find difficulty at first is in arranging a song. This was the case for me. I thought it was Arcade that I didn't understand, when it was really the fact that I didn't know how to build out a song. In other words, using Arcade is easy but writing a song is still challenging. Arcade has a trial, so give it a shot. I recommend writing out 8 bars only using Arcade to start to see what's possible.
Thanks so much for the love and support. This stuff always means a lot to me. I'm gonna keep pushing and refining the content even if the views aren't there. Thanks again for watching!
Thanks Onesto - excellent chill vibe and very clear instructions. I will be watching everything you have on Arcade. My CPU won't handle multiple open midi tracks, so Arcade and my drum software are what keep me in play. I've gotten deep into it and wrote 2 short demos already that are pretty cool. I'm 58 and my old keyboard player put me in action. Being able to compose as a drummer, by myself is truly amazing. And these tools let me get what's in my heart and mind into the DAW. I soak up this knowledge like a sponge! Cheers!!
That's amazing! Love that you're still learning and creating new things. And so happy my videos could be a useful part of your journey. Hope you have lots of fun!
I love this vid! Best explanation of the main features that makes one shine using Arcade. And this guy did it without making us sit through watching him create a beat, and never talking about the topic at hand: thanks for that! Peace
Of course, so happy that this video could help! One thing about my videos is that I try my best to cut out any fluff. I'd rather you get back to making music instead of watching me make music.
This is great. Makes me want to try Arcade again. I tried 1.0 a while ago but found it pretty cookie-cutter. This seems like it's become extremely flexible and "expandable"
Hey, thanks for watching. And Arcade has grown a lot. I would agree that 1.0 did seem restricted. But over the years Output has released a lot of great Lines and now with 2.0 it's become something that any producer can benefit from. Hope you give Arcade another shot if you haven't already.
damn bro I'm so glad I found you. The way you explain this make so much sense. And the way the video is layout and edited is on point. Like truly great
Thanks, i appreciate all your work and teaching... I am taking finished songs and applying different arcades in their place and have gotten some phenomenal sounds, a whole different feel...loving this software, well worth the monthly fee..
Nice! I think using Arcade with finished songs is a great way to experiment and start to experience its potential. Arcade gets better and better too, so you'll have tons to play with.
I'm downloading Arcade right now. Thank you for introducing me to it. I think I've been looking for something like this. I have lots of Spitfire Orch Libraries & Cubase Vsts and I'm excited to add Arcade. I used your link to get it btw :)
Thanks for using that link! I'm sure you'll have a ton of fun with Arcade. It takes some getting used to because it's a different way to play, but I'm sure you'll catch on.
Yeeeuhhhh, you got it dude. There's a lot you can do with Arcade, but I know it can get overwhelming on where to start. Happy to hear this video could help. Thanks for the support too!
Hey! My question is, you just record in your daw, and then convert that midi to audio by bouncing, or is there an easier way, because I want so badly to just drag the samples in
I get what you're asking, and that's a good question. As far as I know, you cannot drag Arcade samples directly into your DAW. You'll need to do what you mentioned, which is first recording MIDI in your DAW and bouncing it to audio. My guess is that Arcade really wants you to experiment and "play with it" rather than using it as a bank of samples.
I haven't checked but you're probably right. Arcade right now is always going through changes. Seems like they're trying to further dial in features and UI. Thanks for the heads up.
I haven’t come across orchestral stabs, but then again there are hundreds of samplers to explore. I would check out Overture, it has a bunch of samplers made in collaboration with Spitfire Audio. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a few stabs samplers, and maybe even some stabs instruments.
I actually think I have a video that talks about that. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/wkD4OdFRuu4/v-deo.html And excuse the mini-commercial in the middle of it. I was still trying to figure out what to do with my channel.
I don't think you can apply your own custom background images. Not yet at least. That'd be great for a future update. Especially if the community can share their custom kits with each other.
Great vid...I always struggle with playable pitch, because my controller doesn't have enough keys to hit those semi tones...I have to write it in my DAW rather than explore live..kinda annoying...
Yeah that sounds really annoying. I've been able to get away with a 49 midi keyboard, but I know not everyone has one. I imagine you're creating your own work around, albeit a tough one. Thanks again for watching!
@@ThisIsOnesto I have a 49 and I can only get a few semi tones down..I can't get full range...how did you pull that off...sorry I'm new to loops and samples..im a guitar player..lol
You could get lost for days in arcade just exploring. Its awesome but also a bit dangerous. I spent 3 hours playing around and didnt even find what I started out looking for but had made about 10 different notes on sounds I wanted to come back to.
Yeah! I know exactly what you mean. The Arcade Lines are all really fun to play with and explore. There’s things in there that I never would have tried unless they made it so easy to experiment with. Thanks for watching! Hope you keep having fun with Arcade.
I cannot use Arcade. Frustrating! I just installed it on my new MacBook Pro and it will not connect to the internet. It’s my favorite plugin. I’ve done everything they suggest on Output. Anyone else run into this?
I'm trying to figure out myself to be honest. I played in a bunch of bands over the past 15 years, but started trying to produce music about 4 years ago. I really wanted to pursue writing and releasing music but I had a full-time job and now have a baby. I figured giving these kinds of tutorials would be the best way that I could give back to the music community, improve as a musician, while balancing life.

Thank you for this. It was very useful. Is it easy for a newbie to learn and use? I'm 78 and very new to music production. I use Logic Pro as my DAW.

Quick question, how do I see samples in waveform? When I’m recording them in Ableton they are just colorful blocks of sound.
This was great. You got me to try Arcade again.
Nice! A big update just happened a couple weeks ago, so hopefully you're pleasantly surprised

Can you only use major and minor scales ?
Are you referring to Sampler mode? If so, you can only set the samples to Major or Minor keys

No one has orchestra hits aka stabs anymore. Are there any on Arcade’s sampler?
