    For this week’s episode, I present my Garlic and Parmesan Dressing. This dressing adds not only awesome flavor, but texture as well. The garlic and parmesan pair so well together, it works great not only as a salad dressing, but makes an incredible dip for fish and chicken.

    Thank you Papa G. I am from Chicago and we always had garlic dressing there. Here in AZ there is not any garlic dressing to be found. I need to try this! Glad you are back!

    This is an excellent recipe (I’m making it now, just adjusted cos I’m in Australia 🇦🇺 and also don’t have *all* of the ingredients. I’ve substituted the apple cider vinegar for pickled onion brine (what I could find in my pantry!) and I boiled the garlic in chicken stock. I’m making this for a salad with pasta in it, so I’m going to emulsify it with the pasta water (although I know pasta isn’t low carb, we’re having a cheat day)

    Thank you sooooo much for a recipe for salad dressing that doesn't have sour cream in it! This looks amazing! I'm lactose intolerant and while I'm able to tolerate a fair amount of dairy with lactase pills that I take, sour cream and yogurt always make me sick so I avoid them. Thank you!! I can't wait to try this. :)

    Well, I will definitely be trying this.. Your sweet spicy Asian sauce, French dressing, and BBQ sauce are staples in my fridge. I might have a good one for you to do, Papa G.
    Haven't eaten at Subway in quite awhile, but, they have a sweet onion sauce/dressing that was really good; especially on a chicken sub. Hope you'll work some magic, 'cause it's loaded with sugar. Cheers!

    Love the recipe. Thank you :-) "Crab boil" is not a thing down here in New Zealand. Just wondering if this would be similar to Creole spice mix meets Asian fish sauce? I can do those! Thx

    Looks so good. May I ask what does the liquid crab boil seasoning do for it? Is it similar to fish sauce?

      Hi Judy. It adds a hint of spice. You can eliminate it without losing the essences of the recipe. Thanks!

    Thank you! I do have a question... does boiling the garlic reduce the strength of the garlic taste, similar to roasting? Just wondering because though I do use garlic in nearly everything savory, it can be quite harsh on my stomach raw.

    • @PapaGCooking
      @PapaGCooking  2 роки тому +4

      Yes. But if you have an issue, just reduce the amount of garlic. It will change the flavor of course.

      There is a chemical in garlic that needs about 10 minutes to be activated after you chop it up. If you chop up Garlic first let it sit for 10 minutes while you're gathering the rest of your stuff together or putting your recipe together you'll find that garlic has less effect on your stomach and the chemical that activates is better for your body. You might want to look up Dr Mandell and garlic on UA-cam he talks about it.

    Could the water used at the end to thin it out be some of the original garlic poaching liquid or would that be too strong?
