I have the Crosswave and LOVE it. I also have a Siberian Husky that sheds quite a bit. The Crosswave is amazing at cleaning up lots of dog hair. Works great on hardwood floors as well as I love being able to wash area rugs.
I love my crosswave 😍 I chose the corded one over battery as it had more power that way. It's the biggest life saver when you have a house full of children.
As an owner of Hizero, I can give some real use comments on it. First, it is very convenient. The roller soaking prior to use is not at all difficult. And it does to a great job of keeping the large debris and hair out of the dirty water tank. It also leaves the floors very dry - especially when used on level 1. Battery life has been no problem. I would never use it to pick up large, wet messes like yogurt or grape juice. For that, a cloth or paper towel would be easier. Also, not all floor surfaces are perfectly level. Think tile, or flooring with wide wooden planks. For uneven surfaces, the Hizero sometimes sounds 'scrapy' if pushed perpendicular to the floor planks and it can occasionally scrape on tiles. In no case have I seen it damage the floor - it just sounds not so good. I'm also not sure it fully dampens or brushes if the surface isn't perfectly level, though the floors do always look great after cleaning. I'll end it with another 'pro', and that's that it is very quiet. And, it's not too hard to find deals on the admittedly extremely high price. Thanks for your great reviews, VW.
@@Woot-Zee My house, and thus its tiles, are pretty new, so the grout between the tiles isn't dirty, so I can't comment on Hizero's ability to clean between. My home gets light, shoeless human traffic, but there are quite a few canine feet and Hizero is super convenient for weekly cleaning.
I’m strongly considering the hizero as a quick weekly mop when I’m too lazy to bust out the karcher steam mop for serious cleaning. That said, I feel like the hizero conflicts with the xiaomi robot mop that I already have, which I currently use to mop the floor daily. It keeps the floor feeling clean, but as expected fails to remove tough spots. How has the hizero been for you? As in if you only could choose one mop, would you feel confident keeping the hizero as your sole mop?
@@87togabito It pretty much is my one mop. I used to have an Oreck buffer and commercial mop and bucket and just got rid of those. I do still have a light weight O'Cedar mop and bucket for occasional use in tight spots. So yes, I suppose I'm pretty much sold on the convenience of the HZ. You should be able to get 15 - 30% discount. Contact Hizero and customer support and ask for it. That said, it sounds like you're way more particular about floor cleanliness than I am, so maybe my standards aren't up to yours.
Hi, I am considering purchasing the Hizero. I Currently have a Bissel Spinwave, but I find that it dries leaving round steak marks on the floor, everywhere! I have to pass again the whole section with another set of pads to buff the floor off of those marks. Does the hizero leaves any streaks marks when drying? This would greatly help me make my decision. Thank you :)

Yes, it cleans very close to the edge which is a really nice feature. I love mine, but it's got a couple of issues and one that I can't live with so I'm hoping for a new review video of the newer models to see if they are addressed.
@@ems8717 The biggest and main issue I have is that our kitchen tile has fairly pronounced grooves in the tile grout, which the hizero cannot reach unless you were to hold it perfectly perpendicular to the groove while being exactly lined up with the roller head. This means that our kitchen grout does not get clean. If this issue did not exist I wouldn't be looking to sell it, as I love it on perfectly flat floors which our hardwood is. My other two gripes are that you have to replace the roller head a few times a year and it sometimes leaves streaks if it's not very clean or the roller head needs replacing. I could live with the last two as it's a really good product, but I can't live with the inability to clean uneven surfaces. If you have perfectly flat floors I would definitely recommend it, if not then you should look for something else.
I got the bissell as I think it is a very good mop/vacuum. Corded vacuums are much stronger in terms of power and not having to worry about charging or worrying the battery is going to finish.
I recently bought the Tineco S7 Pro. I'm very happy with this cleaner. I've had mine two months and use almost daily. I have both tile and hardwood. I've gone through 3 Hoover Floormates, 3 Bissell steam cleaners and a Crosswave. I will never purchase those again. This is far superior. So easy to use. I never realized how easy it is to clean with cordless. It's a breeze!. No undwinding of cord, looking for an outlet, plugging it in, keeping the cord out of the way, unplugging and rewrapping the cord. Then you have to empty and clean everything, making sure all seals are tight or you get leakage. All I do now is get the unit, clean the area, put back on the base and initiate the self clean. I foster cats. It picks up everything, including hair. No messing with stuck hair on the roller. Dirty water tank is easy to empty and rinse out. I've never run out of battery. Both tanks are small and you do need to use their cleaning solution. It does last a long time though. It leaves a subtle fresh scent behind. I'd like to buy spare tanks of both so I can keep going. I will say it doesn't scrub well. The roller isn't made to do that. I first will scrape. No leakage or excess water left behind. Floor dries quickly. I'm also looking to buy the steam cleaner too.
I'll give you some hints I don't know if you knew. Run the machines with distilled water. When it dries it leaves no residue since it's ph balanced. If you mop using only distilled water no residue. I have 1000 sqft of oak flooring and distilled water is a necessity. I have a tineco and don't use any solution.
i always use destilled water since 10 years or how long i am using the very first of those machines, the Philips aqua trio back in the day. Since it has no lime in the water, i think thats the right word (not sure) it dont make the tiles dull.
@@superslash7254 Okay your slow. PH balance means neutral. Distilled water is what? It's water with no minerals or anything In it. This distilled water is PH banned. If distilled water has nothing in it what does that mean? That means it dries faster because it doesn't have any organic elements with it. Yes PH balance has everything to do with it. If you can't understand that I don't know what to tell you.
I got the Crosswave and I was absolutely disgusted every time I had to clean it, and I vacuum every day. I have a german shepherd and we live in a small space, so hair always gets everywhere. The Crosswave not only holds dog hair in the dirty tank, but also right above the brush and it really jams the filter after 2-3 uses. I would have to thoroughly vacuum the entire house and THEN use the hard floor cleaner to avoid the mess. By that time, I might as well just stick to my traditional vacuum and mop. So I returned it for a better vacuum and do that. :P
always love your vids...thank you for doing them. honestly tho, I find it so much easier to simply clean up stuff by hand when it happens, either vac or wipe/mop (swisher) the floor, than going thru all the trouble of cleaning the machine.

I'll stick with doing my sweeping or vacuuming and then washing the floor. But that's just me. In any case, you really showed well what it is like to use and maintain these appliances and I appreciate that, as the manufacturer's sites don't really go into such detail.
How well do these machines deal with tiles and grout? It would be interesting if you found a way to do a test similar to the crevice tests you do with vacuum cleaners.
They'll have to make a specialized machine for grout and a way to adjust the brush. I'm not sure the brush would last long and it can't be too abrasive. You still need to get on your hands and knees!
Thank you for your review. I've watched all available videos to compare tineco with hizero. Obviously apart from the price, tineco was manage to pick all the dirt from the grout between tiles, hizero wasn't able to do so. Second thing, hizero doesn't really work on not even tiles or hard floor surfaces. I picked tineco.
I feel you omitted two important criteria. 1) Do these machines clean right up to the baseboard or is there a gap that you will need to clean by hand. 2) How low of an obstacle can you clean under?
An important consideration for someone with “real” hardwoods is how much water is used and left behind with each unit? Which unit leaves floors the driest?
I have real wood in our rooms and what I like is I'll hold down the trigger on my crosswave to initiate the solution with every forward and backward motion, and once completed I go over it again without the trigger and it smoothes out the layer of water. Dries in less than 6-7m.
Had my Bissell 2yrs now, it has carpet / floor settings ( carpet setting increases solution flow) separate solution trigger controls allow you to control how wet the floors get, FYI never use pinsol type cleaners, they damage plastic parts
Sir all I can tell you is if you get the hard surface/wood floor brush for the crosswave it makes a definite difference in performance, with very little too no streaking!
I liked the idea of cordless too but consider what needs to be cleaned. If you're going to do a large area frequently having a cord is a lot nicer because u don't have to worry about a time limit!
Hannah lasance They had the Bissell Crosswave Cordless and now the Bissell Crosswave Cordless Max. I purchased both the zHIZERO and the Max from Amazon at the same time. I returned the Max. It still has the same cleaning issue.
From the repair side, I can’t recommend hizero. I sold them for a period of time and nearly all of my customers had/have problems. I loved how they performed however! But unfortunately too riddled with problems for me to be confident in recommending them.
Well, I'm super late to this party just learned these machines existed and I can't find any of these for sale in the US not sure if they are about to release an updated model or if they are going out of business or just pulled out of US market.
@@Kai-uj5go I really would not recommend buying one. I sold maybe 6 or 7 of them to my customers and literally ALL of them have problems. It's a huge headache for my customers and myself.

I usually a few steps behind, for the aforementioned reason of having reliability issues with new technology. Wouldn't hurt to visit a local vacuum store in your area and inquire. I had to return my hizero. It cleans well and you can tell the floor feels clean when you walk on it bare feet.however if you have pets it clogs the vacuum really fast and start to leak while vacuuming. It's impossible to get the hair that went up into a cent or something. My vac sales rep said I need to vacuum the floor first. Which I did with my Tyson by the way and it defeats the purpose of having to do everything once. If you don't have pets this is the best hands down. If you have pets this becomes unusable.
As a dry vacuum, which one is a better and stronger vacuum? Presumably the Bissell, since it is AC powered? Also, given that most people tend to clean up big messes by hand first, which one would you rate overall, as better on hardwood floor for dry vacuuming and mopping?
I love the Crosswave, as I have one 🤣, but I’d definitely consider the Tineco one for its quick and cordless ability. The Hizero for some reason, just doesn’t appeal to me. Awesome video as always my friend. Love the new studio, you guys deserve every success!!!!
I purchased both the HIZERO and Crosswave Cordless Max at the same time. After a week of testing, comparing and using, I sent the Crosswave packing. I accidentally heard about the HIZERO. The company doesn’t do advertising like Bissell does. But it’s the real deal. It’s currently the Apple of wet/dry vacs/mops. And you pay an Apple tax too. But you get what you pay for.
My 10 year old Hoover Floormate is still going strong, I've seen brand new Floormates on clearance for $50 but its hard to justify replacing the one I have. It doesnt pick up big stuff, but it will get 100% of a stain up!
I’ve had more floormates than I care To mention. I absolutely love them because of the spin scrub brushes. I’ve tried these things with the roller and I’m not impressed, unfortunately here in the uk the floormate is discontinued so I’m buying used ones now ( they get used a lot in my house normally every day sometimes more than once a day with 6 cats ) These ones with the rollers just don’t clean properly
Ive had the really old white and blue model for like 10 years at least or more. Its the Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub 500. The clean water tank finally started to leak (probably just the seal) but its old, discolored, dirty, ect - so i just splurged for the new FloorMate Deluxe. I literally just used it for the first time about an hour ago. The biggest improvement is the tanks. Its holds much more clean water, and the dirty water tank comes apart easier. The head of the new model is more narrow, like one less brush maybe, so that has pros and cons. Still, it did a really good job cleaning. The old model was so impressive, i cant bring myself to throw it out just yet. I may just buy a new tank and keep it as a spare if the new one has issues. I went back and forth between buying another floormate or going with a crosswave instead. Having a shedding dog and cat in the house i feel like I really need to vacuum first anyway. Wish i coulda sampled both machines for a week - but i really like theres no “additional cleaning” of the machine with the floor mates.

I would buy the Hizero, but I do not see how it's roller thing would not get moldy, or attract some form of mildew if it always needs to be wet. Does it smell over time?
I now own both Hizero and Bissell Crosswave (also owned a Karcher FC5 and literally threw it out, what were they thinking!? How is it still on for sale?). Here is my take: The biggest difference between the 2 is that Hizero leaves the tiles dryer and polished look with only minor streaks. If you have very shiny reflective tiles, then Hizero is for you hands down. Bissell makes it worse for shiny tiles, I have to use a wiper or cloth to dry or i'll get streak marks everywhere. However in the bathrooms and on balcony I have non-reflective tiles with thicker grout spacing and rough surface, the Hizero couldn't penetrate the grout at all and also didn't seem to give a cleaner finish. Bissell does a better job in this case, I just have to leave it longer to dry compared to Hizero. Both machines leave a gap around the walls. So in the end I am resorted to a mop. Both machines struggle with proper grout cleaning overall and is not designed for it. You can't use special chemicals as it will damage them. When it comes to stubborn food stain stuck on the tile, both machines struggle. I have to either pass it through many times (like 20 passes) or just pick stain with my fingernail which is quicker. Some annoying things with Hizero: Have to stop unit to add water or empty water waste far more often. But, having said that its really quick and clean and easy to do. No washing or rinsing needed. A wiper under the Hizero keeps getting caught between the grout. Cleaning in an angle helps a little. Conclusion, if I rated Hizero 5 stars, Bissel would be 4. Biggest reason for star lost due to the finished look. Both products are good, perhaps Hizero priced 20% higher than it should be in my opinion.
I have the crosswave pro, I honestly love it but I never use it without detergent. It cleans far better then a regular mop. I use to have to vacuum the house first then mop the floors and now with the crosswave I can do it all. Still have a vacuum for the carpeted rooms but the crosswave is great in the real world I find it very easy to clean the tank by just dumping it down the toilet and going outside and hosing out the tank and filter areas it’s very quick and easy.
I’d say that sweeping with a broom and then mopping with a regular mop is a lot easier and faster (in clean up) than using these electric mops.. But that’s just my opinion.. Great video by the way!
My issue with the crosswave is the brush isn't thick enough and doesn't seem to do a very good job of reaching the floor to scrub it. It just gives it a very very light brushing and misses a lot
I have a slate floor, the tile is uneven. I need to see which one will do great on grout and uneven flooring. All these vacuums are used on laminate and even flooring
one major long-term issue I'm disappointed wasn't mentioned in any of these videos is that the Hizero's sponge-roller needs to be replaced at least every 6 months. It's already a premium priced product, and on top of that you need to blow $30 every couple of months just to keep using it.

My other two complaints are that if the HiZero is a little dirty it starts leaving streaks of water and the cleaning head needs to be replaced a few times a year, which can also cause leaking and streaking if not replaced. I could live with the last two, but the grout issue is bad for me as it doesn't get cleaned at all and I have to manually clean the grout. If I had perfectly flat floor surfaces I would definitely keep it and love it.
@@danhamilton1217 Thanks for sharing. I can't get the Hizero in my state and the stores that sell it in other states all say that you have to buy it in the store. I tried Amazon but it says currently not available. These decisions are so difficult and haven't gotten any easier and vacuums cost so much that it becomes important to not make a mistake.
My issue with this is the high maintenance on it, you literally have to take it apart and clean it, especially if you have pets this will be hell for you! I used mine for 6 months none stop I loved it and that o ran into issues none stop like the dirty tank isn’t taking in any dirty water so it’s leaves it on the floor. I’m very disappointed I had high hopes for it. I would just go for a tineco 🤷🏻♀️
Can you please show how close it gets to the baseboards? Head in and from the non-motor side? I have the first one and it cleans amazingly but does not get close to the baseboards.
Bought a Tineco iFloor at the recommendation here because it looked promising. I even got it on sale for $144 (regular price is about $220). Have to say it's performance was so underwhelming I'm sending it back because I couldn't even justify the sale price on it. The Tineco iFloor is a LIGHT DUTY maintenance unit ONLY. It took multiple slow passes along with me holding the brush roller over a spot for 15-30 seconds in spot mode specifically for it to even act like it was cleaning. It cleans general dust and fine debris fine (no large items, it can't handle that) but overall, the Tineco iFloor is a glorified dry vac that can spritz water. You have to have an almost already perfect floor before the performance will be adequate. I have no clue how your unit worked so well, mine struggled with built up dirt even. As soon as water was introduced (I tried hot water by itself and a cap full of the cleaner - there was no difference in performance) the suction went to crap. I never had issues with it not able to suck up the water, but at that point, it did neither vacuuming nor mopping jobs well enough. I wouldn't pay more than $75 for the iFloor. And yes, until the Crosswave drops to about 50% price, it too is most likely ovepriced as well.
Mine works great, was your water dirty at all? You might need to exchange for another one, It keeps our floors so clean, but I also use cleaner like original Pine sol, or their cleaner.
This test needs to be updated; Hizero dispenses solution automatically and Tineco also; Bissell is only machine where solution dispenses as you pull trigger. I would rather control liquid.
The good thing about the Hoover Floormate Deluxe is there is no cleaning of the machine. The bad thing (maybe) is you cant suck up a bowl of spaghetti. At some point its just easier to pick up a big mess with paper towels and use the machines to finish. You’ll spend more time cleaning the machines then you would just cleaning the mess - and you also dont wanna be sending giant hair balls down your plumbing.
Only problem with cordless is if I’m not doing this every day why would I want to keep it out and charging where the cross where I can store away and use it as I please

Three things: (1) It's pronounced "Ten....co" according to the manufacturer's Facebook videos. (2) I've played with the Hizero in a vacuum store and you have to pull it "VERY SLOW" when cleaning up the floors making it take 20 times longer to clean the same area as the other units. This is an extremely limiting factor that I'm surprised you didn't point out as a major drawback. (3) Your iFloor unit is obviously defective. Mine doesn't leak dirty water when the tank is full and I didn't see anyone mention that on Amazon either.
Amazon or any online reviews are the least accurate way to judge a product. 1) You have paid for reviews that lead to motivated perfect product ratings in a very high overall percentage. 2) You have people that mostly have very little experience with a product type and nothing to compare against. 3) Sellers will usually go after any low reviews and ask for it to be removed or changed in exchange for a new product or refund. All of that means you can have the same exact OEM product sold by 2 different vendors and 1 can be a 5 start product while the other is 1 star. Looking at the Hizero reviews on Amazon nobody says its slow. They all love it. I looked all all the reviews I could find on it last week when I was trying to decide if I wanted a powered mop. The best review is right here in this UA-cam video, it showed me how disgusting a powered mop is to clean all the nooks and crevasses in the cleaning head. So the fastest and least gross way is a mop and bucket for me. Big spills will always be worthy of paper towel and into the compost for least gross aftermath!

@@UnixGoldBoy I wasn't detailed enough in my first comment. I only checked out the Amazon reviews to see if what you claimed was said by anyone and it wasn't. What I meant by looking at all the reviews I could find was UA-cam reviews. So to be more clear any online store/vendor customer reviews are badly unreliable. I tend to trust UA-cam channels like this one that specialize in 1 product type and can show control testing and comparisons between many models. Not to say Vacuum Wars isn't motivated to be nice to certain companies by the free products he gets, but at least the tests he shows have technical measurements to show the good and bad. I recently bought a pressure washer based on what I learned from the Pressure Washing Project video series on the Obsessed Garage UA-cam channel where he bought the entire line up from many top companies, like 60 pressure washers and tests the performance data and shows some real compromises with some well rated ones. Its that type of review that I'm really taking more seriously.
@@practicalguy973 - Nobody on the product page for the iFloor review on Amazon claimed leaks after the bin was full which is exactly why I told the UA-cam guy he probably has a defective unit. I did not have these problems with my iFloor. He has not replied to my comment yet and he only has 44 comments so far on this video which clearly means he is ignoring mine especially since he has commented on others since I left my comment. He did not mention anything about contacting Tineco either. I sent a Facebook message to Tineco with a link to this video a couple days ago. They took a while to respond, but appreciated it. It kind of sucks that so much misinformation is out there when I've had both the Bissell and Tineco product in my condo and have played with the HIZERO at a vacuum cleaner store when I went into buy a SEBO vacuum at Buckhead Midtown Vacuum. I know a lot about vacuums in general. I have 6 original Aerus Electrolux models starting with an Olympia One, 3 Miele vacuums, and several others. This is ridiculous.

I really don't understand the flex of using a machine like this to clean up chunky spills. Get out a rag to pick up the chunks then mop. Same goes for dried on spills. Do people really not clean up spills right away and just leave them to dry on their floors? I DO think these machines are useful and make the chore of general mopping easier, but in all seriousness, theres no need to bust one of these out to suck up spaghetti-o's just because it CAN.
You should do a canister war, most europeans I know dont use uprights but low canister. Would be nice since you clearly are the Best at testning vacuums on UA-cam
You claimed the Ifloor is best at cleaning tough stains at the end. I failed to see where you demonstrated this. Perhaps you meant it was better than the Crosswave on tough stains, rather than over all?
One of these days I will get the hizero but one of the things that turned me off just a little was the fact you have to be careful you only hit new spots with it head on rather than when you pull it back. Plus having to soak the roller when I want a quick fix. But the easy clean up might make up for those cons. I realize that I haven’t used my bissell Crosswave as much because I want to avoid having to clean it afterwards.
I feel after time overall mop and bucket more worth it. Cleaning mode will run through so much cleaning solution. Plus you can't leave solution in to long starts to smell. As I see in my carpet cleaner so don't waste the solution I leave some in to quick grab but end up not being ocd and clean every day. So I think ill pass plus was a nasty mess to clean up after usage. Great vid though
But the Hizero is totally unsuitable for carpets, right?? I use the Crosswave for wood and carpet and find that it is really good picking up even pet hair from fluffy carpets.

Still it's much easier to fill bucket with hot water and just mop the floor :( For me it looks like playing with cleaning the device is worse than just mopping the floor.
So true. Not only that, but at least with the one I have, the crosswave, it leaves a ton of dirt (the kind you cannot see but would be able to pick up with a damp paper towel behind). Think about it, you have this tiny roller brush that is never really cleaned mopping an entire floor. Versus a mop with a buck that gets clean and rung out every 2 or 3 passes. It's just not enough surface area on that tiny roller that never gets cleaned to do the job. They're a total waste of time if you want a true clean. For a superficial clean, they're fine (if you don't mind the filthy cleanup job). But who mops the floor for a superficial clean?
@@amythinks also maybe steam mops would be a better option than these washers? Or are they the same thing? I feel like steam mopping after vacuuming would do a good clean.

Hi. I have been looking for a machine that can clean tile and grout and can vacuum the water up all in one. I found the turbo force and rotovac to do exactly what I want but they are meant to be purchased by service suppliers. Do you know by any chance of something similar meant for homeowners? Would have like to have seen some carpet tests. I have hard wood floors and then carpeted rooms. So I have a vacuum, mop, and broom. Trying to find something to replace all 3.

I have the Crosswave and LOVE it.
I also have a Siberian Husky that sheds quite a bit. The Crosswave is amazing at cleaning up lots of dog hair.
Works great on hardwood floors as well as I love being able to wash area rugs.

I love my crosswave 😍 I chose the corded one over battery as it had more power that way. It's the biggest life saver when you have a house full of children.

How do you find the cross wave goes with wet kind of kid mess like pasta on floor or small bits like chewed food from when starting solids?
As an owner of Hizero, I can give some real use comments on it. First, it is very convenient. The roller soaking prior to use is not at all difficult. And it does to a great job of keeping the large debris and hair out of the dirty water tank. It also leaves the floors very dry - especially when used on level 1. Battery life has been no problem.
I would never use it to pick up large, wet messes like yogurt or grape juice. For that, a cloth or paper towel would be easier. Also, not all floor surfaces are perfectly level. Think tile, or flooring with wide wooden planks. For uneven surfaces, the Hizero sometimes sounds 'scrapy' if pushed perpendicular to the floor planks and it can occasionally scrape on tiles. In no case have I seen it damage the floor - it just sounds not so good. I'm also not sure it fully dampens or brushes if the surface isn't perfectly level, though the floors do always look great after cleaning. I'll end it with another 'pro', and that's that it is very quiet. And, it's not too hard to find deals on the admittedly extremely high price.

@@Woot-Zee My house, and thus its tiles, are pretty new, so the grout between the tiles isn't dirty, so I can't comment on Hizero's ability to clean between. My home gets light, shoeless human traffic, but there are quite a few canine feet and Hizero is super convenient for weekly cleaning.
I’m strongly considering the hizero as a quick weekly mop when I’m too lazy to bust out the karcher steam mop for serious cleaning.
That said, I feel like the hizero conflicts with the xiaomi robot mop that I already have, which I currently use to mop the floor daily. It keeps the floor feeling clean, but as expected fails to remove tough spots.
How has the hizero been for you? As in if you only could choose one mop, would you feel confident keeping the hizero as your sole mop?
@@87togabito It pretty much is my one mop. I used to have an Oreck buffer and commercial mop and bucket and just got rid of those. I do still have a light weight O'Cedar mop and bucket for occasional use in tight spots. So yes, I suppose I'm pretty much sold on the convenience of the HZ. You should be able to get 15 - 30% discount. Contact Hizero and customer support and ask for it.
That said, it sounds like you're way more particular about floor cleanliness than I am, so maybe my standards aren't up to yours.
Hi, I am considering purchasing the Hizero. I Currently have a Bissel Spinwave, but I find that it dries leaving round steak marks on the floor, everywhere! I have to pass again the whole section with another set of pads to buff the floor off of those marks. Does the hizero leaves any streaks marks when drying? This would greatly help me make my decision. Thank you :)

Also worth mentioning that the Hizero cleans almost up to the edges, whereas the Tineco and Bissell have an inch or so either side of the roller.
Yes, it cleans very close to the edge which is a really nice feature. I love mine, but it's got a couple of issues and one that I can't live with so I'm hoping for a new review video of the newer models to see if they are addressed.

@@ems8717 The biggest and main issue I have is that our kitchen tile has fairly pronounced grooves in the tile grout, which the hizero cannot reach unless you were to hold it perfectly perpendicular to the groove while being exactly lined up with the roller head. This means that our kitchen grout does not get clean. If this issue did not exist I wouldn't be looking to sell it, as I love it on perfectly flat floors which our hardwood is.
My other two gripes are that you have to replace the roller head a few times a year and it sometimes leaves streaks if it's not very clean or the roller head needs replacing. I could live with the last two as it's a really good product, but I can't live with the inability to clean uneven surfaces.
If you have perfectly flat floors I would definitely recommend it, if not then you should look for something else.

I got the bissell as I think it is a very good mop/vacuum.
Corded vacuums are much stronger in terms of power and not having to worry about charging or worrying the battery is going to finish.

I recently bought the Tineco S7 Pro. I'm very happy with this cleaner. I've had mine two months and use almost daily. I have both tile and hardwood. I've gone through 3 Hoover Floormates, 3 Bissell steam cleaners and a Crosswave. I will never purchase those again. This is far superior. So easy to use. I never realized how easy it is to clean with cordless. It's a breeze!. No undwinding of cord, looking for an outlet, plugging it in, keeping the cord out of the way, unplugging and rewrapping the cord. Then you have to empty and clean everything, making sure all seals are tight or you get leakage.
All I do now is get the unit, clean the area, put back on the base and initiate the self clean. I foster cats. It picks up everything, including hair. No messing with stuck hair on the roller. Dirty water tank is easy to empty and rinse out. I've never run out of battery. Both tanks are small and you do need to use their cleaning solution. It does last a long time though. It leaves a subtle fresh scent behind. I'd like to buy spare tanks of both so I can keep going. I will say it doesn't scrub well. The roller isn't made to do that. I first will scrape. No leakage or excess water left behind. Floor dries quickly. I'm also looking to buy the steam cleaner too.

I'll give you some hints I don't know if you knew. Run the machines with distilled water. When it dries it leaves no residue since it's ph balanced. If you mop using only distilled water no residue. I have 1000 sqft of oak flooring and distilled water is a necessity.

i always use destilled water since 10 years or how long i am using the very first of those machines, the Philips aqua trio back in the day. Since it has no lime in the water, i think thats the right word (not sure) it dont make the tiles dull.
i also forgot to mention that its importnat which cleaner you choose. Many leave streaks, thats why i use alcohol cleaner
pH has absolutely nothing to do with residue left on drying. That's caused by issues like hard water.

Okay your slow. PH balance means neutral. Distilled water is what? It's water with no minerals or anything In it. This distilled water is PH banned. If distilled water has nothing in it what does that mean? That means it dries faster because it doesn't have any organic elements with it.

I got the Crosswave and I was absolutely disgusted every time I had to clean it, and I vacuum every day. I have a german shepherd and we live in a small space, so hair always gets everywhere. The Crosswave not only holds dog hair in the dirty tank, but also right above the brush and it really jams the filter after 2-3 uses. I would have to thoroughly vacuum the entire house and THEN use the hard floor cleaner to avoid the mess. By that time, I might as well just stick to my traditional vacuum and mop. So I returned it for a better vacuum and do that. :P

honestly tho, I find it so much easier to simply clean up stuff by hand when it happens, either vac or wipe/mop (swisher) the floor, than going thru all the trouble of cleaning the machine.
Yeah for small spills cleaning by hand is fine. These machines are best for when you want to clean the entire house.

Thank you, that was very thorough and helpful! Really helped me decide......and I decided that a combo product is not for me! The cleanup just looks disgusting. I'll stick with doing my sweeping or vacuuming and then washing the floor. But that's just me. In any case, you really showed well what it is like to use and maintain these appliances and I appreciate that, as the manufacturer's sites don't really go into such detail.
How well do these machines deal with tiles and grout? It would be interesting if you found a way to do a test similar to the crevice tests you do with vacuum cleaners.
They'll have to make a specialized machine for grout and a way to adjust the brush. I'm not sure the brush would last long and it can't be too abrasive. You still need to get on your hands and knees!
Thank you for your review. I've watched all available videos to compare tineco with hizero. Obviously apart from the price, tineco was manage to pick all the dirt from the grout between tiles, hizero wasn't able to do so. Second thing, hizero doesn't really work on not even tiles or hard floor surfaces. I picked tineco.
I feel you omitted two important criteria. 1) Do these machines clean right up to the baseboard or is there a gap that you will need to clean by hand. 2) How low of an obstacle can you clean under?
Yes. My Tineco can really clean under my coffee table. It tilts back off the ground. Drives me nuts. I have to move the table.

An important consideration for someone with “real” hardwoods is how much water is used and left behind with each unit? Which unit leaves floors the driest?

I have real wood in our rooms and what I like is I'll hold down the trigger on my crosswave to initiate the solution with every forward and backward motion, and once completed I go over it again without the trigger and it smoothes out the layer of water. Dries in less than 6-7m.
Had my Bissell 2yrs now, it has carpet / floor settings ( carpet setting increases solution flow) separate solution trigger controls allow you to control how wet the floors get, FYI never use pinsol type cleaners, they damage plastic parts
Sir all I can tell you is if you get the hard surface/wood floor brush for the crosswave it makes a definite difference in performance, with very little too no streaking!

I liked the idea of cordless too but consider what needs to be cleaned. If you're going to do a large area frequently having a cord is a lot nicer because u don't have to worry about a time limit!
The cordless HIZERO has a battery that run from 60 to 80 minutes. I usually get 60. But it’s cordless. Impressive.
The crosswave has a cordless option now too!
Hannah lasance They had the Bissell Crosswave Cordless and now the Bissell Crosswave Cordless Max. I purchased both the zHIZERO and the Max from Amazon at the same time. I returned the Max. It still has the same cleaning issue.
From the repair side, I can’t recommend hizero. I sold them for a period of time and nearly all of my customers had/have problems. I loved how they performed however! But unfortunately too riddled with problems for me to be confident in recommending them.
Well, I'm super late to this party just learned these machines existed and I can't find any of these for sale in the US not sure if they are about to release an updated model or if they are going out of business or just pulled out of US market.
@@Kai-uj5go I really would not recommend buying one. I sold maybe 6 or 7 of them to my customers and literally ALL of them have problems. It's a huge headache for my customers and myself.

I had to return my hizero. It cleans well and you can tell the floor feels clean when you walk on it bare feet.however if you have pets it clogs the vacuum really fast and start to leak while vacuuming. It's impossible to get the hair that went up into a cent or something. My vac sales rep said I need to vacuum the floor first. Which I did with my Tyson by the way and it defeats the purpose of having to do everything once. If you don't have pets this is the best hands down. If you have pets this becomes unusable.
As a dry vacuum, which one is a better and stronger vacuum? Presumably the Bissell, since it is AC powered? Also, given that most people tend to clean up big messes by hand first, which one would you rate overall, as better on hardwood floor for dry vacuuming and mopping?

FYI - the IFloor does not have a changeable battery. You have to throw the whole thing out, if the battery goes bad
I purchased both the HIZERO and Crosswave Cordless Max at the same time. After a week of testing, comparing and using, I sent the Crosswave packing. I accidentally heard about the HIZERO. The company doesn’t do advertising like Bissell does. But it’s the real deal. It’s currently the Apple of wet/dry vacs/mops. And you pay an Apple tax too. But you get what you pay for.
I got a mate who runs a cleaning biz an they have 5 Hizeros because at how fast they clean with little to no noise

My 10 year old Hoover Floormate is still going strong, I've seen brand new Floormates on clearance for $50 but its hard to justify replacing the one I have. It doesnt pick up big stuff, but it will get 100% of a stain up!

Ive had the really old white and blue model for like 10 years at least or more. Its the Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub 500. The clean water tank finally started to leak (probably just the seal) but its old, discolored, dirty, ect - so i just splurged for the new FloorMate Deluxe. I literally just used it for the first time about an hour ago. The biggest improvement is the tanks. Its holds much more clean water, and the dirty water tank comes apart easier. The head of the new model is more narrow, like one less brush maybe, so that has pros and cons. Still, it did a really good job cleaning. The old model was so impressive, i cant bring myself to throw it out just yet. I may just buy a new tank and keep it as a spare if the new one has issues. I went back and forth between buying another floormate or going with a crosswave instead. Having a shedding dog and cat in the house i feel like I really need to vacuum first anyway. Wish i coulda sampled both machines for a week - but i really like theres no “additional cleaning” of the machine with the floor mates.

I now own both Hizero and Bissell Crosswave (also owned a Karcher FC5 and literally threw it out, what were they thinking!? How is it still on for sale?). Here is my take:
The biggest difference between the 2 is that Hizero leaves the tiles dryer and polished look with only minor streaks. If you have very shiny reflective tiles, then Hizero is for you hands down.
Bissell makes it worse for shiny tiles, I have to use a wiper or cloth to dry or i'll get streak marks everywhere.
However in the bathrooms and on balcony I have non-reflective tiles with thicker grout spacing and rough surface, the Hizero couldn't penetrate the grout at all and also didn't seem to give a cleaner finish. Bissell does a better job in this case, I just have to leave it longer to dry compared to Hizero.
Both machines leave a gap around the walls. So in the end I am resorted to a mop.
Both machines struggle with proper grout cleaning overall and is not designed for it.
You can't use special chemicals as it will damage them.
When it comes to stubborn food stain stuck on the tile, both machines struggle. I have to either pass it through many times (like 20 passes) or just pick stain with my fingernail which is quicker.
Some annoying things with Hizero:
Have to stop unit to add water or empty water waste far more often. But, having said that its really quick and clean and easy to do. No washing or rinsing needed.
A wiper under the Hizero keeps getting caught between the grout. Cleaning in an angle helps a little.
Conclusion, if I rated Hizero 5 stars, Bissel would be 4. Biggest reason for star lost due to the finished look.
Both products are good, perhaps Hizero priced 20% higher than it should be in my opinion.
I have the crosswave pro, I honestly love it but I never use it without detergent. It cleans far better then a regular mop. I use to have to vacuum the house first then mop the floors and now with the crosswave I can do it all. Still have a vacuum for the carpeted rooms but the crosswave is great in the real world I find it very easy to clean the tank by just dumping it down the toilet and going outside and hosing out the tank and filter areas it’s very quick and easy.
Agreed, I also see very little use for the detergent in any of these models. I like the Crosswave a lot too.
Just got the Tineco iFloor for $140 off Amazon. I've only used it once but it is a great upgrade from using my swifer!!
Yeah but what you don't say is that the bissell can be used to clean rugs and we find that really useful too
I’d say that sweeping with a broom and then mopping with a regular mop is a lot easier and faster (in clean up) than using these electric mops.. But that’s just my opinion.. Great video by the way!
My issue with the crosswave is the brush isn't thick enough and doesn't seem to do a very good job of reaching the floor to scrub it. It just gives it a very very light brushing and misses a lot

I have a slate floor, the tile is uneven. I need to see which one will do great on grout and uneven flooring. All these vacuums are used on laminate and even flooring

one major long-term issue I'm disappointed wasn't mentioned in any of these videos is that the Hizero's sponge-roller needs to be replaced at least every 6 months. It's already a premium priced product, and on top of that you need to blow $30 every couple of months just to keep using it.

We have a mixture of hardwood and tile and the hardwood cleans up beautifully. The tile is an issue because the cleaning head just doesn't go down in the grout lines. If you have very shallow grout then you will probably be fine, but if your tile is beveled at all or the grout line kind of low, then the HiZero doesn't clean it at all. My other two complaints are that if the HiZero is a little dirty it starts leaving streaks of water and the cleaning head needs to be replaced a few times a year, which can also cause leaking and streaking if not replaced. I could live with the last two, but the grout issue is bad for me as it doesn't get cleaned at all and I have to manually clean the grout. If I had perfectly flat floor surfaces I would definitely keep it and love it.
@@danhamilton1217 Thanks for sharing. I can't get the Hizero in my state and the stores that sell it in other states all say that you have to buy it in the store. I tried Amazon but it says currently not available. These decisions are so difficult and haven't gotten any easier and vacuums cost so much that it becomes important to not make a mistake.
My issue with this is the high maintenance on it, you literally have to take it apart and clean it, especially if you have pets this will be hell for you! I used mine for 6 months none stop I loved it and that o ran into issues none stop like the dirty tank isn’t taking in any dirty water so it’s leaves it on the floor. I’m very disappointed I had high hopes for it. I would just go for a tineco 🤷🏻♀️
Can you please show how close it gets to the baseboards? Head in and from the non-motor side? I have the first one and it cleans amazingly but does not get close to the baseboards.
Bought a Tineco iFloor at the recommendation here because it looked promising. I even got it on sale for $144 (regular price is about $220). Have to say it's performance was so underwhelming I'm sending it back because I couldn't even justify the sale price on it. The Tineco iFloor is a LIGHT DUTY maintenance unit ONLY. It took multiple slow passes along with me holding the brush roller over a spot for 15-30 seconds in spot mode specifically for it to even act like it was cleaning. It cleans general dust and fine debris fine (no large items, it can't handle that) but overall, the Tineco iFloor is a glorified dry vac that can spritz water. You have to have an almost already perfect floor before the performance will be adequate. I have no clue how your unit worked so well, mine struggled with built up dirt even. As soon as water was introduced (I tried hot water by itself and a cap full of the cleaner - there was no difference in performance) the suction went to crap. I never had issues with it not able to suck up the water, but at that point, it did neither vacuuming nor mopping jobs well enough.
I wouldn't pay more than $75 for the iFloor. And yes, until the Crosswave drops to about 50% price, it too is most likely ovepriced as well.
All the reviews I've seen can suck up even noodles, threads, pb and j.. Did you bring yours for repair?
Mine works great, was your water dirty at all? You might need to exchange for another one, It keeps our floors so clean, but I also use cleaner like original Pine sol, or their cleaner.

This test needs to be updated; Hizero dispenses solution automatically and Tineco also; Bissell is only machine where solution dispenses as you pull trigger. I would rather control liquid.
The good thing about the Hoover Floormate Deluxe is there is no cleaning of the machine. The bad thing (maybe) is you cant suck up a bowl of spaghetti. At some point its just easier to pick up a big mess with paper towels and use the machines to finish. You’ll spend more time cleaning the machines then you would just cleaning the mess - and you also dont wanna be sending giant hair balls down your plumbing.
Never pour down the sink. I always pour down the toilet.
Only problem with cordless is if I’m not doing this every day why would I want to keep it out and charging where the cross where I can store away and use it as I please

I'm interested in how they cope with textured tiles. Ours seem to get clean with hands and knees scrubbing only.
I use a full side carpet cleaner with brushed on my tile look porcelain tiles. Cleans pet hair out of grout lines.

If you have very shallow grout then you will probably be fine, but if your tile is beveled at all or the grout line kind of low, then the HiZero doesn't clean it at all. My other two complaints are that if the HiZero is a little dirty it starts leaving streaks of water and the cleaning head needs to be replaced a few times a year. I could live with the last two, but the grout issue is bad for me as it doesn't get cleaned at all and I have to manually clean the grout. If I have perfectly flat floor surfaces I would definitely keep it and love it.

Three things: (1) It's pronounced "Ten....co" according to the manufacturer's Facebook videos. (2) I've played with the Hizero in a vacuum store and you have to pull it "VERY SLOW" when cleaning up the floors making it take 20 times longer to clean the same area as the other units. This is an extremely limiting factor that I'm surprised you didn't point out as a major drawback. (3) Your iFloor unit is obviously defective. Mine doesn't leak dirty water when the tank is full and I didn't see anyone mention that on Amazon either.
Amazon or any online reviews are the least accurate way to judge a product. 1) You have paid for reviews that lead to motivated perfect product ratings in a very high overall percentage. 2) You have people that mostly have very little experience with a product type and nothing to compare against. 3) Sellers will usually go after any low reviews and ask for it to be removed or changed in exchange for a new product or refund. All of that means you can have the same exact OEM product sold by 2 different vendors and 1 can be a 5 start product while the other is 1 star. Looking at the Hizero reviews on Amazon nobody says its slow. They all love it. I looked all all the reviews I could find on it last week when I was trying to decide if I wanted a powered mop. The best review is right here in this UA-cam video, it showed me how disgusting a powered mop is to clean all the nooks and crevasses in the cleaning head. So the fastest and least gross way is a mop and bucket for me. Big spills will always be worthy of paper towel and into the compost for least gross aftermath!

@@UnixGoldBoy I wasn't detailed enough in my first comment. I only checked out the Amazon reviews to see if what you claimed was said by anyone and it wasn't. What I meant by looking at all the reviews I could find was UA-cam reviews. So to be more clear any online store/vendor customer reviews are badly unreliable. I tend to trust UA-cam channels like this one that specialize in 1 product type and can show control testing and comparisons between many models. Not to say Vacuum Wars isn't motivated to be nice to certain companies by the free products he gets, but at least the tests he shows have technical measurements to show the good and bad. I recently bought a pressure washer based on what I learned from the Pressure Washing Project video series on the Obsessed Garage UA-cam channel where he bought the entire line up from many top companies, like 60 pressure washers and tests the performance data and shows some real compromises with some well rated ones. Its that type of review that I'm really taking more seriously.
@@practicalguy973 - Nobody on the product page for the iFloor review on Amazon claimed leaks after the bin was full which is exactly why I told the UA-cam guy he probably has a defective unit. I did not have these problems with my iFloor. He has not replied to my comment yet and he only has 44 comments so far on this video which clearly means he is ignoring mine especially since he has commented on others since I left my comment. He did not mention anything about contacting Tineco either. I sent a Facebook message to Tineco with a link to this video a couple days ago. They took a while to respond, but appreciated it. It kind of sucks that so much misinformation is out there when I've had both the Bissell and Tineco product in my condo and have played with the HIZERO at a vacuum cleaner store when I went into buy a SEBO vacuum at Buckhead Midtown Vacuum. I know a lot about vacuums in general. I have 6 original Aerus Electrolux models starting with an Olympia One, 3 Miele vacuums, and several others. This is ridiculous.
@@UnixGoldBoy That is good you pointed out the defective problem with the Tinco and the slow issue with the Hizero. My point was only about the online customer reviews. I'm sure he cant comment on everyone's comments so I would not feel bad or neglected about that!
Is there an all in 1 vacuum? That does the hardwood washing/vacuuming plus carpet?
I really don't understand the flex of using a machine like this to clean up chunky spills. Get out a rag to pick up the chunks then mop. Same goes for dried on spills. Do people really not clean up spills right away and just leave them to dry on their floors? I DO think these machines are useful and make the chore of general mopping easier, but in all seriousness, theres no need to bust one of these out to suck up spaghetti-o's just because it CAN.

You should do a canister war, most europeans I know dont use uprights but low canister. Would be nice since you clearly are the Best at testning vacuums on UA-cam

One of these days I will get the hizero but one of the things that turned me off just a little was the fact you have to be careful you only hit new spots with it head on rather than when you pull it back. Plus having to soak the roller when I want a quick fix.
But the easy clean up might make up for those cons. I realize that I haven’t used my bissell Crosswave as much because I want to avoid having to clean it afterwards.

I feel after time overall mop and bucket more worth it. Cleaning mode will run through so much cleaning solution. Plus you can't leave solution in to long starts to smell. As I see in my carpet cleaner so don't waste the solution I leave some in to quick grab but end up not being ocd and clean every day. So I think ill pass plus was a nasty mess to clean up after usage. Great vid though
But the Hizero is totally unsuitable for carpets, right?? I use the Crosswave for wood and carpet and find that it is really good picking up even pet hair from fluffy carpets.

You should NEVER wear outside shoes in the house. If you need to wear shoes in your home, have ones that are ONLY for inside.
The Hizero has a lot of complicity inside you should go and look at a cleaning / maintenance video there is a more tradition brush inside and more.

For me it looks like playing with cleaning the device is worse than just mopping the floor.
So true. Not only that, but at least with the one I have, the crosswave, it leaves a ton of dirt (the kind you cannot see but would be able to pick up with a damp paper towel behind). Think about it, you have this tiny roller brush that is never really cleaned mopping an entire floor. Versus a mop with a buck that gets clean and rung out every 2 or 3 passes. It's just not enough surface area on that tiny roller that never gets cleaned to do the job. They're a total waste of time if you want a true clean. For a superficial clean, they're fine (if you don't mind the filthy cleanup job). But who mops the floor for a superficial clean?
HIZERO is so much easier to clean than Crosswave especially for nasty spills.
@@amythinks it can't be that bad. Some people don't have the time to use a mop abd bucket. Why not just clean the brush on the machine?

Would have like to have seen some carpet tests. I have hard wood floors and then carpeted rooms. So I have a vacuum, mop, and broom. Trying to find something to replace all 3.

which is better for normal tile floors. The Tineco iFloor ONE S3, the Bissell CrossWave Cordless Max or the Bissell CrossWave Pet Pro 2306A, which I think comes with a cable. You can still dump hair and debris down the toilet. I dump my mop water down the toilet. I vaccum with my Proteam 10 backpack vacuum first tho.
