I know many won't ever see this and I'm just some random person on the internet but like many others in the world I feel the same as he was saying. Let me say this as someone that for a very long time wanted to just end it all. Keep fighting. I won't lie, it doesn't always get better. But keep fighting, never let your demons win, you are stronger than them. More people than you would ever realize care for you, would cry for you, would grieve for you. Keep fighting always. If you keep fighting, you will win. Please folk. Just always keep fighting. I can't say it enough

Just came across your video and as a huge fan of citizen soldier I can say this song along so many of their others keep me fighting. I lost my brother to su*cide 8 yrs ago. We bother dealt w the same trauma he just never tried to get help. I can't be angry at him for it because I took have stood on that ledge too many times but the faces of my 3 children have kept me fighting
"there is hope" is NOT CORNY, that phrase feels like that because people often make the person saying that feel stupid, or dumb, or awkward because they ridicule them for believing that, but damnit if having hope makes me naive or foolish, then I'd rather a fool than give up. And great reaction, I just get upset when people feel negative towards having hope because it is there, you just have to find it.
This is the first song i ever heard from them. It came to me in one of the darkest times of my life. This song saved my life

This band's songs all say what has been going through my head and life for all my life. They know me.
The thing about Citizen Soldier, about all of their songs, is that there is always a message people can relate to. They tell the true story of what it can feel like when you're drowning in your own mind or surrounded by people while still being alone. But they don't only tell how it feels, but also not to give up and to keep fighting. Even when it feels like there is no end to the pain we can feel inside, the pain we put ourselves through, there actually is an end to it. Things can get better and eventually you'll be able to live again and not just survive. I wish more people knew of them because their songs actually do help. Hearing things like this make us feel seen and heard and understood, reminding us that we're not alone in our struggles. To me personally, they've helped me so much. I didn't know how to tell my parents that I was struggling, so I didn't say anything and I showed them this very song, letting them listen to it. Just through this song I was able to let them know that I needed help and it saved me the anxiety and internal struggle of having to actually tell them. They have inspired me to write myself and I have actually found it to be a lot easier than talking face to face, it's helped me understand and come to terms with my feelings and thoughts so that I could actually turn them around and make them better. And maybe if I hadn't found them it wouldn't have happened. They helped me believe that I wasn't alone and that I could get better. This, 'Weight of the World' and 'Stronger than my Storm' were the first songs of theirs I ever heard, and ever since I have been addicted to their music. I'm glad you got to experience them as well and I hope that you're doing well. No one deserves to feel their words. Be strong and always keep fighting 💜

I felt that way before so much feels right now
I have been feeling this way my whole life. Been single for over 20 years and I have just given up on love. Just trying to get through every day is a war that someday I will lose. Just don't know when. I listen a lot to citizen soldier just to get through the pain.
I have dealt with this feeling for a year when my mom passed on. My dad died when I was 11. And now my mom two years ago. I felt lost. Didnt know where to turn. I turned to music because it is the best therapy out there. I know your pain man. I was having these thoughts for too long.
My dad died when I was 7 in 15 also it gave me severe depression , anger issues and abandonment issues because my mom and dad abandoned me I taught my self to not fell things no emotions
@@depressionatitsfinest I hear you. But if Im being completely honest here not showing or expressing your emotions isnt healthy. Its part of the many reasons men have a higher suicide rate. Just want to look out for your well being my friend

I’m a childhood rape survivor and was beaten by my dad as well as emotionally abused, so this song helps me a lot.

I feel like this 99.9% of the time I love Citizen Soldier because they're not afraid to say what's really goes through mentally ill people's minds. They have been my Saving Grace since I discovered them because they make me feel like somebody understands somebody knows what it's like and they're not afraid to share it. So please Citizen Soldier don't stop doing what you're doing keep it up because you're helping more people than you know

I know this was a while ago this was posted, but I wanted you to know as someone who lost my best friend, if nothing else, someone will miss you. I struggle with depression and similar thoughts too, and the biggest reason why I am still here is because of what I went through losing my friend. She also had to wander if anyone would miss her, and I PROMISE you, someone at least 1 person will miss you their whole life. I know that sometimes isn't enough of a reason to stay, but I hope it's at least one less thing to weigh on you. I've had to learn in some of the hardest ways how strong I am, and how strong others are for their struggles, and how worthy I and others are for good things to happen, and how worthy everyone is to have hope and to stay. Life sucks and it's hard, but this is the life you have. Like in the song, take back your life, take back your thoughts, take back your mind because if nothing else you have hope. Hope is that little voice in the back of your head asking "what would happen if i hang on for one more day?", listen to that little voice and find out. I hope you're doing well. I hope you see this. I hope someone sees this. I'm proud of you~

This is has been my favorite song for years and it has helped me through some diffiucult times. But my favorite version of this song is actually(no disrespect to citizen soldier I love the original aswell) the cover of this song by Nathan Wagner. Would love to see a reaction of his cover too.
