RECIPE FOR HOW TO REGAIN FAITH ---> If you don't know how to regain your faith in God, here is a recipe for you because I went through the same thing and I think this is the right recipe for it: a more peaceful approach is always better because this way you look down on others, convinced that you are really right because you stuck to a purely logical conclusion and view of things (that's how it looks from the side) and it's as if you don't leave room for what even you, so intelligent, don't fully know, and the question is whether God as such can even be understood logically , despite the fact that we possess or have been given such an understanding, even a doubtful one. Faith is not a matter of reason. And the logical mind cannot fathom many things, we are also rationally limited beings. Don't get so much used to this world and that you know how it really work, because you really don't. You just noticed some patterns. Remember that you are an SOUL. Think like one. Remember how is it to be one: You can never learn everything about this world, you just started. Stay unaccustomed, stay in tune, stay in anticipation. Stay faithful IN your ignorance, not TO it.
I hope you will not hear this message of mine in a wrong tone, it was written with good intentions and a calm spirit.

Good question "Why You Should Believe in Jesus"
Maybe because an old book says so in circular reasoning and you were taught this as a child with no good evidence for the claims.

"It's... hope and it's comfort". That is 90% of the reason people believe in Jesus. Why should you believe in Jesus? Because if you are desperate, it will make you feel better.

I agree with the other guy who commented. I thought this may be the case but looking at the historical evidence for the resurrection, the only reasonable conclusion I see is that Jesus actually rose from the dead. Reading "The Case for Christ" a book written by an atheist journalist who examined historical facts - originally seeking to disprove Christianity- ends up converting, this book is the main factor of what convinced me that the resurrection happened. I just recommend if you are genuinely curious why we believe that our belief is reasonable and not just "ya gotta have faith" then you should check out the book. Thanks for reading this comment I hope you have a good day!

The only ‘feeling’ I have about Jesus and organised religion is ‘fear’. Like, if I don’t jump through all the hoops; believe in certain things in certain ways, I’ll be tortured in the most horrific way until the end of time.
Literally all I get from it. I don’t ‘want’ to ‘believe’ in Jesus as I fear it would take away my freedoms and I’d basically be enslaved and a mindless drone.

Great gospel presentation, one of the best I heard, I would say flawless. Honestly this is one of the few reformed preachers that offered the gospel to sinners without distinction between elect and reprobate as the scripture commands us to do. It is tiresome to hear bad gospel presentations coming from reformed theologians, where sinners are not given Christ for them to embrace. Whether it is Michael Horton or Steven Lawson, please learn from Kevin, he did not say once that Christ died for his people or that Christ died for those that would trust in him. Because every time Michael Horton and Steven Lawson say this, they are not offering the gospel to sinners but to believers, and by doing so they are denying the free offer of the gospel to everybody, in short they are not preaching Christ crucified for sinners as scripture commands them to do. Kevin DeYoung brilliantly included himself with all those that need Christ, implying that Christ is offered to all men without distinction, and this is the proper way to offer the gospel to all mankind including the members of the church. The tax collector said God have mercy on me a sinner and went justified, this is the kind of preaching we need. We must stop preaching a Christ for his people or for those that trust in him, nobody needs to hear such a pharisaic message, whom unlike the tax collector thanked God that he was not like that tax collector that cried to God have mercy on me a sinner. Christ did not die for his people or those that would trust in him as I heard so many times from Michael Horton and Steven Lawson, this is not the gospel, the gospel is that Christ died for sinners (all sinners without distinction between elect and reprobate) so that we (all sinners) would trust in Him. There is a big difference, the love of God precedes our faith or trust in Christ, God so loved the world that whosoever believes in Him will not perish. Michael Horton and Steven Lawson instead preach that God so loved those that will not perish, God loves the elect, his people, those that trust in Him, all this may be true but it is not the gospel as it ought to be preached for evangelism. It may be appropriate in a church setting, were believers are the only audience, but it certainly is not appropriate when trying to explain why everybody should believe in Jesus, something that Steven DeYoung did magnificently here. When doing evangelism it is paramount that we preach to unbelievers that God loves them and is merciful to them, before they believe and it should be the chief reason for them to believe in a God is merciful to them while they are his enemies and are in unbelief, every time we say God is merciful to his people or those that trust in Him we are missing the point, we are not preaching the unconditional mercy of God first to both believer and unbeliever without distinction. God loves sinners unconditionally before they come to faith while they are still enemies of God, and faith is the response to this unconditional love of God for sinners (both elect and reprobate without distinction). But if we do not preach this unconditional love of God for sinners (unbelievers), it is impossible for sinners to come to Christ properly, that is to embrace him as Savior who died for them and loved them before they believed (while they were still enemies Christ reconciled all sinners to himself without distinction between elect and reprobate). This is the gospel, and Kevin DeYoung preached it perfectly.

@@markdonohoe1832 I believe the bible teaches that all peoples are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ. No man whether in the old testament or the new testament are good enough to keep the ten commandments! The ten commandments are written on all men's heart, no matter the culture or people group, thats how we know we are sinners. People before Jesus were saved by believing that God would one day send a savior and messiah to save them from their sins and people after Jesus look to Him as their savior and messiah that has already cleansed their sins, because they put their trust and faith in the finished work on the cross. If you believe that God sent Jesus to die for your sins, because he is perfect and never sinned and rose from the dead on the 3rd day, then you will be saved and become a child of God, because ,through that faith in Jesus he has restored the relationship between God and man once again. Kevin, you need to forgive yourself dude. I'm sure you are a great guy, and that when you do wrong by others, you seek and earn their forgiveness. So why do you still feel you need forgiveness? Who have you wronged? The only person I can think of is yourself. You have set unattainable standards for yourself and then you hold yourself to them. It's a journey. Learn to forgive yourself, and maybe you won't feel this existential dread that makes you so desperate that you are willing to bet it all on a story told in books written by unnamed authors decades after the events and hundreds of miles from where they are reported to have occurred.

Nobody called him "Jesus" until 400 years ago. The 1611 KJV has him as the Greco-Romanized Iesous because Greek doesn't have a "Ya" sounnd or a "sh" sound (ref the Sibboleth/Shibboleth issue, Judges 12), and all Greek men's names had to end in the suffix -us. Neither means anything. The name Yeshua, however, has a meaning in Hebrew: Yah's Salvation. How do you call upon the name--when you're calling him something he wouldn't have even turned around for in an airport???

In simple terms, Christ became the curse for us. In dying for our sins, He Himself took the punishment and death that we deserved. As sinners, we are separated from God. God, being holy and just, requires us to pay for these sins. Christ took that sin and punishment and death upon Himself, that we may never have to experience it. Yes- we will die and have hardships in this life. But we can rest in the assurance that we will inherit eternal, spiritual life after the temporal, physical death.

There are only stories in a book from late second hand sources--at best. There are simply too many assertions in this video. Isaiah‬ ‭53:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬
To try to look at Him on His physical appearance, there was nothing great to see. He would have had looked messy; torn clothes, dirty feet, thin.
People were only first attracted to Him because of His miracles and healings, as they wanted to fill their stomachs.
The elders despised Him for His simplicity but the world was at His feet.
...but there is none like His nature! None! I cannot explained it here. You must know Him! You will tear, not from your eyes, not from your mind but from your heart; from the core of your being; if you get the chance to see any one event, where His nature is shown to you. I truly cannot explain this. It is beyond this world. He is beautiful. SELFLESS is a not word: nor a word: that can be use to define His depth. Even the word; SELFLESS fails to describe Him.
He was a vessel through which God spoke. Forget His hair, His body, His appearance for you have been deceived by movies; pictures and images and emotional experiences, but remember to remember every word that has been spoken out of His mouth. We need to follow Him, as for many times He said, “Follow me”
Follow my commands. Follow my words.
    Follow my nature.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
    ‭‭
    Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Ignore His physical appearance. Nothing there to see. This is why for when Christ comes again, He will come to judge on who followed the words that were spoken out of His mouth. His physical body in Nazareth was God’s vessel. His throat was God’s voice. His hands were God’s healing power. Many were not able to recognise Him there and then on His earthly lifetime. Think of Him like as Book of Law. This book will be opened during judgement. This book is on God’s right hand. All that has been spoken by God through Christ on earth is written on this book, and this book is used to judge all mankind.
God Himself had come and show us how to live His commandments, He showed us The Way, The Truth and The Life, for we must take this path, each one of us, to live in His Kingdom.
We must follow the word, only then the word saves. There isn’t any long haired man saving us; there is; but I am not going to speak about that evil now.
Follow me. Follow my commands. Follow my example. Follow my nature. Follow me words. For my words lead you to the Kingdom. This is God’s salvation plan for humanity.
He came. He died, He is risen.
Follow me. Follow this path which I have created for you.
This does not mean, that you will be nailed to The Cross. The Cross is an idol. The Cross symbolises, death to one’s self through sacrifice.
I’ll give you an example of The Cross.
    Paul’s cross;
“Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.”
    ‭‭
    2 Corinthians‬ ‭11:24-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬
For the love of the word? Yes but no! For only through the wearing or following the word you can enter into the Kingdom of God, and He cannot stop sharing it!
Most of them are not chosen to be called, because they do not have a heart at all in the first place to know Christ! You must be qualified to enter the Kingdom.
Do you understand? You have been deceived, but you have a heart and God wants to reveal these to you through me so that you can wear it. There are certain things that you are not doing, that if you die today you will not be able to enter in to His Kingdom because you failed and you became disqualified. This is His mercy. He is reminding you.
Not a long hair figure coming to save you. The doctrines are twisted. The reason this is happening to you is because you do not know who satan is! At all. Your definition of satan is your husband, your brother, the drug addict, the prostitute; as an example. Satan is real.
I know him very well. The moment you hear the words the angel of light, it is just a mere word for you, as it does not mean much to you, but I know him very well.
I love you more than words can explain, but you have to buckle up and wear the words.
Remember, you must be in the Spirit to start. How? You put on the Spirit? That is how you have been operating. Wrong. Start with the flesh. Take the first step. Wear His word. He will send you His Spirit at His Will.
Remember, God’s name is represented in His nature. Only when you have His name which is His nature, the demons flee! The sick are healed! The word is preached! My faith is so little when it comes to speaking about the dead being raised but I know my God, the dead will be raised if it is His will and His name will be glorified!
