I just saw your comment after having watched the video. Now this might sound dumb to you but maybe you can explain this to me anyway 🙂: When you say 'convicted', what do you mean by that, what is this conviction about exactly? Also what would the consequences be then and to what end? Thank you.
If an earthly jury "convicts" a person, it means he or she have. been found guilty. Suppose a person who is full of pride but doesn't feel like that is a sin, but then all of a sudden they turn on a radio station to a pastor preaching on that same subject and you are wowed out, like you say,..oh my gosh, this pastor is describing me, I have received this message and accept that I need to repent before The Lord, that is a conviction.

My father is now 85 and recovering from a stroke he owned a Charles Stanley bible and before my Baptism 13 years ago he made sure I understood these fundamentals for my belief in Jesus. I'm so grateful. Thank you LORD for this powerful message.
I wonder, why do we need to believe that Jesus is God to be saved? Isn't it enough if we say "we accept Jesus as savior if he is god, even though we're not convinced he is god"?
You know I wondered too. But I realized that a person can have more than one role in your life. E.g your mother is her husband’s wife she’s also your mother. Jesus is God’s son he is also LORD.
The "Sword of the Spirit" (BIBLE) is what most preachers do not train churchgoers on!!!! Almost ALL in the pews have never read the whole bible or even whole new testament..ONCE!!!
He believed in Christ as the son of God and now he's seated with him in heaven. I receive Christ as personal savior by trusting and convicted to enter into eternal relationship with him, and be one with him through my deeds. I am so missing the fact that Dr Stanley is no longer here in his physical body and that brings a heaviness in grieving him. My In Touch booklet I read daily and do not yet have May's yet here in Canada. It was a sadness in realizing his monthly letter and note in the fro t of the booklet will not be there. I can almost hear him saying humbly and rightly that he was pointing to Jesus and I know that to be true. In my prayers I pray for Andy and Becky and all those he knew and loved personally and thank God for his servant who influenced my life by encouraging me to memorize scripture. So many encouraging lessons! I pray that God may comfort those who are grieving him deeply.

It says believe in him and you have everlasting life, not believe and give your life up, it is a gift, do you on Christmas pay for a gift? You do have to receive the gift, receive Christ his full payment for all of your sins, by believing in him. Please forgive me for not having to fully understand the very title "what does it mean to believe in Jesus Christ" boy Oh boy do I have a whole lot to learn about my understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ. It's more than just repeating what Charles Stanley has shared on today's television program. Too bad I cannot record Charles entire video word for word on paper. It definitely would be nice if Catholic Church ministers can repeat this very question to the congregation. This is an awesome message. Now readers please do not take offense for I myself am Catholic and I myself would love to have heard the creased share this beautiful message. Sorry if I sound like I keep repeating myself I'm just so amazed with how Charles Stanley explain this very topic.

It says believe in him and you have everlasting life, not believe and give your life up, it is a gift, do you on Christmas pay for a gift? You do have to receive the gift, receive Christ his full payment for all of your sins, by believing in him.
Romans 4:5 “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”

My Bible looks as though it’s 20-30-40 years old, when in fact it’s less than 2 years old. And I love it, I think my Savior is pleased, knowing this helps me memorize scripture. Amen
