Hey JT and Son, man this was totally awesome, unloaded auto rack train with a dup and a guessing a repair train two for the price of one😊😊😊😊 make tht.4 for the price of one with a dummy on A bike crossing while the gates Coming down and lights are on
I think the coolest race was years ago watching the NYC and the PRR(I despise) passenger train racing on the water route to Chicago. If I heard correctly the NYC always won.
Great catch JT I would like to see how they unload all that rail maintenance equipment off the rail cars and put them back on the rails that would be interesting.!! Have a good one JT.!! 😎👍
Cool this is so exciting two trains going side by side. Made my day❤😊 wow the NS actually passed the CSX.😊I saw the DPU and what a long train.I love that little caboose and it's horn Such a good video.😊loved your rooster and fur babies. Really enjoyed this Mr JT thanks.❤😊
Another really great video. Love the two trains going in the same direction and seeing all the equipment on the work train. Also that caboose whistle was fun to hear! Thanks for sharing with us JT!!
The CSX empty auto rack train was a long train. I wonder if it stayed intact after arriving in Queensgate Yard in Cincinnati and then went on to Louisville, Kentucky to be loaded with new cars. The Norfolk Southern work train that came past was interesting to watch. The rolling steel doors on those box cars make it easier to open and close the doors to get equipment inside the car. The person on the bicycle made the correct decision to abort his attempt to cross the tracks in front of the train. Thank you for this additional video from the Hamilton, Ohio area on 22 September 2023.
I have actually seen a Caboose lead. We have a local branch of CN that does nightly local drop off/pick up off a few spurs, and they head northbound through Kalamazoo and utilize and lead with an old GTW caboose with horn and lights. It's pretty cool! Just got some footage two nights ago that I plan on posting shortly, so check it out. Awesome catches today, loooooong CSX, the caboose led CSX, and NS! It's a one way street people! :) Great stuff JT!
Always a nice catch finding a DPU on an autorack, but this one was very long - pretty rare I think. That was a pretty extensive MoW train - there was a lot of equipment! A nice caboose! I would be very alert standing on the caboose platform - those runners would make for some adrenaline rush for sure :)
@@jlvetor123 It is likely that everyone has a different reason for liking DPUs. I am an engineer (the other kind) and the idea of analyzing the stresses on long trains appeals to me. Also, the noise of a hard working DPU appeals to me as well :)
The NS container train that came into town, it looked like that young lad on the bicycle was trying to beat it across the crossing. Anyway JT, great video. I do appreciate the time and effort you put into getting these videos for us. Thank you.
I like that transfer caboose at the end of the third train. Cabooses bring back good o memories. You don't see many around anymore like you use to back in the day.
Wow. That was a lot of empty auto racks. It was so cool that the maintenance train from a different carrier passed them going the same way. I've never seen that before. 😊😊😊❤❤
No doubt the NS crew was telling the dispatcher to keep them moving so they could replace the rail they borrowed yesterday from.CSX. what they don't know doesn't hurt. That backup whistle made me think of a little childhood book I had named "Tootle" and indeed it is ensuring the safe And Timely delivery of all those frozen potatoes up by the power. The first real temps of autumn about to hit this p.m. with brisk winds and some rain. The checkered flag is out and NS wins by a length
Morning JT another great video of breakfast trains. Love the crossing action with all the lights bells and whistles. Love the trains but growing up I was always fascinated with the 9:46 signals, I still love seeing all the different styles old and new and how they work. Great job on your videos. Hard for me to rail fan live anymore do to health issues. Best to you JT we will see you on down the line.
Oh wow what a fab video this is JT! Never seen 2 trains going the same way racing eachother like that before! Both completely different as well. AWESOME😊 the CSX train was a long one this is my favourite part of he video the very start, great catch JT. ❤😊
I wish they would catch them nitwit wannabes and give them 6 months painting cars with a 4 inch brush 8 hours a day with 2 10 minute breaks and a 20 minute lunch break. Same with any other paint wannabes.
That’s what they sounded like. When you are on that leading end it isn’t loud enough and most people are like you and have never heard one. I think they should have placed a good air horn on the roof of the cabooses. Where the conductor was operating the whistle is also the air brake valve so if needed he can brake the train or dump (big hole) the air for an emergency stop.
Great video of the CSX AUTORACK and the NS MOW equipment train! Couldn't have bet on that to happen! Then to catch the NS INTERMODAL train through Hamilton! Thanks for the Visual Shoutout to me I appreciate it my friend! I'll always be a subscriber of your channel bcuz you put out awesome videos and appreciate your PRICELESS time and effort! Cheers from Laurel, Delaware USA.
I am not much of a ferroequinologist (foamer), more into model HO Scale trains myself and I have an extensive collection, but I do enjoy your videos and you are the only train enthusiast I subscribe to. Love it!
Roll-up doors on box cars? Conductor on the shoving platorm gave you a whistle salute! 1st bicycle ran the crossing and the 2 d bicyclist was planning on it but hung a quick left!
Correct! The 2nd bicyclist was trying to beat the train but at the last second he turned around because he knew he couldn't make it. I sure was glad he turned around
Awesome seeing the ns r3 dual rail gang mow train fun fact its the only mow crew in the world capable of replacing both sides of the track with new rail at the same time they use 1440 feet long ribbons of rail and can do 2 miles of track a day .
2.50 mile long autorack If I did my math correctly, what a long train. I'm glad the DPU was in there, but also glad that the MOW train was shorter. That's really two major trains for an uncontrolled no gate lights only crossing.. I guess it's because it's at the waterworks. They don't think many people are going to be going on that road.
I really enjoy watching your train videos. Another well done presentation. So cool with the MOW machines. I am from the Batesville, Indiana, area. Not much train action here. Only thing that goes through here is auto racks for Honda in Greensburg Indiana. CIND short line-railroad.
Glad you like them! I have wanted to film in Batesville but I know it's hard to catch the train there. I have filmed the CIND auto racks train a few times. One time I filmed them passing the cars off to CSX on the west side of Cincinnati. Years ago we rode that line to Greensburg
Thanks for allowing us to read engine numbers. Teresa
Hey JT and Son, man this was totally awesome, unloaded auto rack train with a dup and a guessing a repair train two for the price of one😊😊😊😊 make tht.4 for the price of one with a dummy on A bike crossing while the gates Coming down and lights are on
All kinds of stuff going on! Never a dull day . Thanks for watching Kenny!
Good morning JT! Right on time = looking forward to this one!
Morning!
You were fortunate that the NS train ran "in front" of the CSX train, so we saw both at the same time! Good viewing as always, JT.
Yes, that was lucky. Also lucky that the DPU went past before the NS train got there
Thanks Fabian!@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars
The whistle on the caboose was puny!! The conductor could shout louder, lol. 🤣🤣👍👍👍👍🇬🇧
Sounded like the Oscar Mayer weiner whistle
😁
😁
Hey jaw tooth lot's of live action. It's cool seeing 2 trains racing each other. Have a great weekend and railroad day. 🙋♀️🚂
Thanks 👍 Have a great railroad day also

Happy weekend JawTooth 👌👌

Great catch JT I would like to see how they unload all that rail maintenance equipment off the rail cars and put them back on the rails that would be interesting.!! Have a good one JT.!! 😎👍
That would be cool. I haven't been lucky enough yet to be around when they are doing that. I will film it someday I hope
Hi jawtooth awesome video

Good morning to Brian and the crew. Enjoy your Friday!!
Good Morning to you
Good morning everyone!
How did it get to be Friday already!?
Good morning Jon
@@JawToothgood morning
Nice train race. The contrast between the autoracks and MOW equipment was cool. Excellent visual as always, thanks JT!
❤🎉I like that Peeper Whisle on that caboose
Like I said I like that Caboose Peeper Whistle❤🎉
M.O.W. trains are awesome.
I agree!
Still the best train videos on freakn’ UA-cam! Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Glad you like them!
Now the was a Kickin' video J.T.!
Imagine how long it took a switcher to assemble that monstrosity!
Yes, and probably a lot of walking by someone
@@JawTooth Hope the railroads still pay well.

Back in the '50s, I saw GTW Battle Creek-South Bend locals with air whistles on the cabooses for use while switching.

Thanks! That is the runner central crossing also
I haven’t figured out why so many get so excited over DPU’s. They are just another piece of the train.

What a good catch trains side by side. Those poor tracks are getting a serious work out
I got pretty lucky being in the right place at the right time. Thanks for watching!
The NS container train that came into town, it looked like that young lad on the bicycle was trying to beat it across the crossing.
Anyway JT, great video. I do appreciate the time and effort you put into getting these videos for us.
Thank you.
A couple of more seconds and he would have run it then he could qualify for the Darwin Award.😊
You don't see two trains running parallel very often. Another excellent video, thanks 😊😎👍!
Thank you very much!
I don't recall ever seeing trains running parallel, live or video. Definitely a sobriety check if you're counting cars.

Love it!!! I saw Two NS trains heading away from Pittsburgh toward Conway Yard running neck & neck a couple days ago. :-)

super cool - that is a ton of MOW equipment all on one train there and to have it slowly overtaking the autoracks makes it even better.
