True AF haha especially the earlier missions before novigrad was on dirty and wild places like swamps, muds, small villages called Velen, and when you go to (or even see) Novigrad..... You know CDPR is the best on making environments.
Exactly not like Skyrim with 8 buildings and 20 people (earlier Elder Scrolls games were better in that regard), Novigrad really feels like a city, Beauclair too.
@@mr_tras5332 I know this is a much belated response but I am legitimately curious what you mean. Skellige is an entirely different beast from the rest of the Continent. It is a beautiful and rugged landscape but very sparsely settled. I never felt like I was in a city there because there were no proper urbanized areas, just various outlying villages organized around a handful of larger settlements built around the fortresses of the local jarls. Or at least I think that was what you meant, sorry if I'm misunderstanding.
dude i was looking for the original upload and it was taken down :( *much sad* this is my favorite theme in the game. poverty, business, politics, gambling, drinking, magic, shadiness, all in one place!!
Gosh this game helped me lighten up at my lowest. I remember first time arriving in novigrad after weeks in velens jungle❤️❤️❤️the transition of music was magical.
I mean, there's nothing stopping you from buying the OST and showing your support for Pryzbylowicz, Stroinski, and Percival. Not only are you supporting the artists that way but you also get free reign to do (almost) whatever you want with it. Some soundtracks even go on sale from time to time if you're strapped for cash. As someone wishing to be a composer in the industry I do believe it's important to financially support these kinds of artists
Alright, I've seen enough comments that I feel I need to make an original one of my own. If you think the music is amazing then buy the damn soundtrack. As much as I believe art shouldn't be tied to money, artists still need to make a living somehow. The OST is $11 USD on steam. If the music is so valuable to you then fucking buy it and show your support to the artists. Will some of it go to CD Projekt Red execs? Sure, but you know how much goes to the composers and performers when it's pirated? None. You buy that OST you get permanent access to the songs because you can export the files anywhere you'd like, both MP3 and Lossless.
I mean, didn't Marcin Przybyłowicz (composer) and Percival Schuttenbach (performers) already get paid for their work by CDPR? I've already paid $60 on this game (more if you count the DLCs and the fact I bought both the PC and PS4 editions) so I've contributed enough. Let me enjoy the music without guilt.
@@t.d.2016 no. If saying what I said makes you feel guilty, then pay for it. If you don’t care, you don’t care, and I can’t do anything about that. They would have been paid already but they almost certainly earn royalties off of the sales of the ost. Here, you want to listen guilt free? Just assume they make no royalties and the money all goes to the studio.
@@xanman2003 I don't feel guilty at all. I love this franchise, and I've paid $100+ on it. I enjoy the music without guilt. You're trying to guilt people, though, which is not right.
@@xanman2003 I know your comment is old but you're so wrong that I just have to correct you. We who bought the game already have permanent access to the song. If you open the game folder you can find all the songs. It's not even hidden, the folder is called soundtrack. Buying the ost on steam is just extra to show appreciation. You being mad over us listening to the song on youtube is laughable. Get over yourself.
@@Jotaro-o I’m not annoyed people are listening to it on UA-cam, I got annoyed because of all the comments lamenting the removal of the original upload of this song while they talk about how beautiful the piece is. I know buying the OST is extra, that’s basically my point. If the music is so beautiful and meaningful that multiple commenters are sad that the original upload got taken down, then maybe they should consider buying the ost. They don’t HAVE to. It’s entirely up to them, but I feel more people should and I was annoyed that people were talking about the music like if the UA-cam upload isn’t available then the song is lost to time. Ah Novigrad, the first time I walked into a city in an open world rpg and actually felt like I was in a city.
