i had the most awesome experience with witcher games. bought witcher 1 based on the preview in gaming magazine, while on my way home from school(almost missed my bus). it instantly amazed me - also was dubbed in my language which was unprecedented back then(2007) after that i wasnt following the progress of CD Projekt at all so it was as if witcher 2 was released really soon after witcher 1 for me. bought witcher 2 and not even bothered reading any previews. loved that one also and ended up having same experience with witcher 3 - i knew it was being worked on but i just didnt follow any news about it, but made sure to preorder it when i could. awesome experience. each new game i was 100% certain was gonna be awesome. witcher 3 truly blew me away though and all the 8 years i played witcher games for before witcher 3 came out felt so incredibly rewarding, all those years of playing these game just came together into a true masterpiece.

Yeah cyberpunk was alright story wise. Good even. But all I really remember are the trailer scene with panam falling asleep with V, and the ending. But even the ending I barely remember. Boss fight was forgettable. Not to mention my immersion being broken during boss fights by constant crashing But the Witcher? I can recall every single detail. It just doesn't compare at all. And I'vs beaten the Witcher maybe four or five times. It's only ever crashed like twice
@@thenovicewhispers Because CP77 is too short for that kind of game. As You said - it's ok but if You want to get such strong feelings as You got in Witcher 3, You need more time in this world. In CP77 everything felt rushed and too short. And every memorable scene was already in launch trailer. Comparing it to Wild Hunt, it's like the main plot would finish after the Velen. No Skellige, no preparation in Kaer Morhen, no searching for the help of lodge. Just finishing the search in Velen, then heading straight to mist island and then "final" fight with Eredin. It could work and game wouldn't be bad. But at the same time it wouldn't be anything special. Just typical story about hero finding his daughter. One of the strongest values of Witcher 3 was the fact that it was in fact built from the several different stories. With different characters and tones. Blood Barone, Keira, Gangs of Novigrad, Triss and Witch hunters, Yen and Skellige, Kaer Morhen etc. etc. there was so much in that game that stays in memory... On the other hand, CP77 gives to the player no chance to actually get immersed to the world. If they get us a chance to know Night City, play in it for several hours and then used the microchip moment as the plot twist in something like 2/3 of the game it could be so much better. It should be the turn-point of the whole plot like the moment when we found Ciri in W3. Instead it was rather like meeting Yen in White Orchard... So IMO CP77 plot should look something like this: 5-10h prologue - 30-40h of gameplay in NC working on different quests in order to build our reputation - Keanu Reeves plot twist - 10-15h of searches for the cure - 5h preparations and final action trying to get the cure - 2h epilogues
I remember every moment of first time visiting new places in this game. Toussaint was the best and the second was the Skellige. the absolutely overwhelming mountains covered with snow and that Medieval French scenery with the variant colors you would not see any other places in this game is just not forgettable. god I wish I can get some new brain so I can play it without knowing how freaking amazing this game will be.

Its a common sample pack that has been used in many other games. most of Homm4's music was made purely from those sample packs because of the tight budget and time, as the company went bankrupt mid development.

Done it. The worst part of the game TBH. Exploring every single ? on a sea with all the sirens was just boring and iritating. But completing the game in 100% is totally worth it.
A hard way to live unfortunately bc most games are nowhere close to this one. I personally have to lower my standards to enjoy some other games. As long as I don't have to turn my brain off to enjoy it I'll give it a try lol

Done it. The worst part of the game TBH. Exploring every single ? on a sea with all the sirens was just boring and iritating. But completing the game in 100% is totally worth it.

This is the game I compare every other game I think about buying to. If it’s not going to interest me like the Witcher did, I won’t buy it.
A hard way to live unfortunately bc most games are nowhere close to this one. I personally have to lower my standards to enjoy some other games. As long as I don't have to turn my brain off to enjoy it I'll give it a try lol
