I just arrived Novigrad. When I entered the poor district outside the city and heard this track...Wow. Stay there one hour, walking, and watching the life the developers put in this game. I do agree, there's a little "Dream of Venice" in this, but yet so much "Witcher". This game blows my mind. Thanks for posting this!
The world in this game just feels so alive and real, as well as the charachters. I feel like i actually know these people, i have never felt that in any other open world game (especially skyrim where the nps dont feel real AT ALL)
First time I walked into Novigrad was at noon through the leftmost gate through the poor quarter (a nearly straight path to the docks). The almost carnival-like atmosphere blew me away so much I haven't been able to play Skyrim or any other modern RPG since. From the outskirts with the massive farm lands, including bees, wheat, fruits from trees, to women washing clothes, men fishing, and countless NPCs going in and out of the massive city, to the dark alleys contrasted with brightly sun lit roofs, to the constant ambient conversation, I have never experienced anything like it. This is as close to the large cities found in high fantasy literature you will ever find in a video game. I especially loved how you could clearly tell where the poorest versus richest parts of town are: from the shoddy paved and sometimes pure mud roads, to the blankets rigged to buildings for housing, to the coughing children dressed in rags, to the crooked leaning buildings propped up by hasty construction beams, the poor areas announce themselves loudly. Likewise with the rich areas: cleaner, completely paved roads, better dressed citizens, elogant horses replace pigs and dogs wallowing in puddles in the street, and laughing children replace the coughing ones. This is truly a remarkable creation.
man ...first time i played witcher 1 , i remember i was so amazed the random npc take cover when it rained and that was like 10 years ago ...at how the witcher games progressed by each sequel released i bet cyberpunk will be a such a great game
I have the same problem with other rgbs. Witcher 3 is more than game to me. I have read the books. I havent read all of them yet but the world that andrej sapkowski created is more than just perfect.
I had played many RPG games before. witcher3 truly shocked me. I was so addicted of this game. i spent many hours days on this game. The developer is god, this is a master piece. so glad could play this game in this life time.
Even 2025 will feel like it was an eternity ago :) Last time I've played W3 was end of 2020 and I feel like I need to revisit it again. This is probably the only RPG that can fully immerse you into its world without having too much annoying immersion-breaking parts that remind you this is not an actual living organism.
I am late to the party with this game by almost 10 years. And I have no idea how I didn't play this for that long. It's an absolute masterpiece. I have not been able to put it down at all. And I'm obsessed with Triss Merigold. What an angelic voice ❤.
I could wander the night with this ambient track for hours. If I ever needed to edit inventory or skills I'd make sure to be in this area while doing it!
Marcin Przybyłowicz, who is the composer of music in Witcher 3 said that he very likes music of Jesper Kyd (AC) and wanted to do some theme in his style. ;)
Always, *ALWAYS* enjoy a long journey. Jesus man, I'm feeling nostalgic during my first playthrough of this game last year. I played it like no tommorow.
dragqueen? was that in novigrad? forgot a bit, didn't play the game for 2 years, tho can't wait to play it again, i here every now and then there is something new added
yeah must be novigrad. the mission were your serching dandelion and asking abaut him and you meat the the elf (has a clothing shop), doughters of var Attre and someone else... :)
I always hear this when I walk outside novigrad and into the dwarf/elf outskirts and I immediatly think of that gay friend from Dandelion who sells masks lol
Standing near the shore, looking out at the waves with the sun puncturing through the clouds, the wind howling and the rain falling at golden hour and then you have this playing in the background, yeah, this is when Witcher 3 merges into reality for me.
This is a very crucial part of the game... I have played this game on PS4; I have recently finished building my PC. I also have plans to buy the PC version with the two DLC.
That part that goes, "e-ah-ah" always plays when I see a dwarf or halfling. I kept typing, "witcher 3 halfling and dwarf theme" but nothing came up. Good thing I remembered it only plays in novigrad.
This song is better unofficially known as 'Tretogor Gate'. Novigrad Ambience is a misleading title since it doesn't actually play anywhere inside the city. Nor does it play ANYWHERE else in the game that I'm aware of except Tretogor Gate on the city outskirts.

Love the obvious nod they put in to ACII
weird how the poor district has much better music than the actual city, but i guess a more relaxed tune makes sense.
Plus The other species like Elves and dwarfs etc mostly live outside novigrad and it feels like you are listening to some wild elf music 🎶
Pure bliss
Thanks! Got some serious old school assassin's creed vibes from this one. Very nostalgic...
Cuzinits Me too, i think Brotherhood has a similar ambience track. So Good! :)
+Cuzinits So true! That is the reason why i was searching for this track.
omg same! I got all ezio feels from this one
Rome at night...walking between people holding torches...illuminating their paths...
Walking the outskirts of Novigrad felt like walking the outskirts of Rome with this theme on.
Just look at the city from a distance at night , it glows in an almost magical way .

EliteTeamKiller witcher 3 puts skyrim to shame imo
do you get to the cloud district very often?

Such a beautiful game man. Newcomers who just started playing this game, enjoy *EVERY* moment of this masterpiece.

So beautiful, I get this instant renaissance vibe from listening to this.
Best track of the game in my opinion, don't know why it's not in the OST
Best peaceful soundtrack in game

By far the most nostalgic/beautiful piece in the entire series!
*The Witcher 3 : Elihal Edition*
Just wait when we come back 20 or 50 years later. The nostalgic feeling then might kill me.

Reminds me the "Dream of Venice" from AC2

Haha, man... That's exactly what I thought when I heard that song for the first time... Both are great works.
me too
Probably why I loved it so much
Oxenfurt's theme sounded very much like AC2
... just to get to novigrad, listening and immerse into this ambience was worth playing the witcher ...
0:30 is my favorite part... sounds like the musical Version of a ghost fading into the night’s darkness...
Dream of Venice!! Loved this game already!!
Always, *ALWAYS* enjoy a long journey. Jesus man, I'm feeling nostalgic during my first playthrough of this game last year. I played it like no tommorow.
Thanks for uploading this! Definitely my favourite piece of music from the game.
why do i keep visiting that dragqueen elf?
He is actually a nice guy.

I dont think what he does coznts as drag, but he has nice clothes, good at gwent, and a actually nice person
😏😉
God damnit, I was looking for this one so eagerly since the launching of the game. A big thank you good Sir :)
I need more of the witcher in my life
This really reminds me of Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood's soundtrack.
Macho Fantastico Because devs of CD Project Red love Ezio XD

_ULT_ Same. So many vibes of loneliness.
Yes. This one is my favourite.
I love this track so much! I hope you one day post an hour long version of this ❤️
Fabulous music - from a fabulous game. Witcher 3 is a masterpiece.
It played in my head when I walked through the Gdańsk Oldtown during sunset
so comfy...
I always hear this when I walk outside novigrad and into the dwarf/elf outskirts and I immediatly think of that gay friend from Dandelion who sells masks lol
"Radovid sucks flaccid..."
I Was looking for this astonishing song... I couldn't find it on the official soundtrack.
Thank you very much. It's so beautiful.

It's one of those games that you spend a long time playing , and after finishing it you enjoy playing it again and again
Dreams of Venice and this is the reason I sleep well :)

Just heard this song on episode 10 of Doctor Who. And I was like WTFFF! Kinda awesome tho!
Also heard it and came here to compare the songs. Exactly the same!

"Te siwy! Ludzi nie wkurwiasz tym białym ryjem?"😂
I haven't played the Witcher 3 yet, but this strongly resembles the Vergen themes from the Witcher 2.
you're missing the quality of life and its joy if you didn't play it yet trust me....
abdalrahman khataan I haven't played it yet, because I don't have a machine for it. As simple as that.
vlid0 I understood this before....I am just saying that you should get that pc built well only for the sake of this game xD
Yeah it really reminds me of Vergen as well.
Yep me too, very much reminded me of Vergen. I love Farcorners just for this piece of music
What a shame that they didn't put the best songs in the soundtrack.
Wow, glad I'm not the only one who was reminded of AC2/Brotherhood by this song. What's the actual track called on the OST?
This song is better unofficially known as 'Tretogor Gate'. Novigrad Ambience is a misleading title since it doesn't actually play anywhere inside the city. Nor does it play ANYWHERE else in the game that I'm aware of except Tretogor Gate on the city outskirts.
bro, listening to this shit when you're extremely high is epic af xD

Have you two checked the game files? There are artworks in it.
5 years late here lads but Displate do an officially licensed poster (metal plate) of this very picture.
