Fun fact: The Soviet tank gunners could never fire at will without the commander's order to do so after identifying the specific target which was one of the reasons that Finnish StuGs destroyed 87 enemy tanks while loosing eight of their own. To this day, Finnish gunners can fire at will when they are in a leading vehicle of a tank squad/platoon.

People who want to investigate things on their own should check the references section of the Wikipedia page in question and then compare them to other non-mentioned sources; that's the right way to deal with controversial political and historical topics. Another No.1, so happy to hear this.
I wrote an english variant in 2016. I figured you would enjoy it.
    Karelia’s land is a memory,
But it’s music will forever be-
When the fingers of Musicians play!
    Säkkijärven (Karelia’s) Polkka!
The polka that brings pastimes to mind,
And leaves your heart in a state of kind-
Hey, Brothers! Let the accordion play!
    Säkkijärven (Karelia’s) Polkka!
It takes the young and old to dance!
It is the polka when we all prance!
Karelia sounds, listen to it´s trance!
    Säkkijärven (Karelia’s) Polkka!
It has the rippling of the waves!
It has the memories we all save!
Karelia sounds to call out the brave!
    Säkkijärven (Karelia’s) Polkka!
    Come, come now!
    Dance with us now!
And the Polka will play so joyously loud!
    Come, come now!
    Run with us now!
In the snow we will race and stir up a cloud!
    Come, come now!
    Fight with us now!
And the guns shall blare so joyously proud!
Karelia has fallen back into the claws of the Russians!

    Who made Säkkijärven Polkka ??
    Vesterinen ..
Vesterinen studied piano and cello in Vyborg Music Institute, but as an accordionist he was self-taught. Vesterinen mainly played in different bands and theatres early in his career. Vesterinen made his first recordings in 1929. - The most popular recording of Vesterinen is Säkkijärven polkka in 1939.
