      Yes, believe me, I know the jurors in the robbery trial had the criminal trial outcome always in the back of their minds while making their decision. Justice delayed but not denied. OJ deserves to be where he's at & here's hoping he's never set free.

    I used to have a negative view of feminism being a black woman and always feeling like feminists have only cared about white women and white women issues but Marcia Clark embodies the best of feminism she succeeded in her career on her own merits and her hard work when everyone tried to discredit her with pointless reasons from her looks to her being a single mom etc but she never let it shake her she's a fighter and she had the *BIGGEST BALLS* in that *ENTIRE* courtroom if feminism is white women complaining about nonsensical issues just to get attention then calling me a feminist is a major insult but if a feminist is what Marcia is then I'll take that title with pride she's such an AUH-MAY-ZING woman and should hold her head up high #yougogirl #loveher

      I was in the same boat as you. Although I'm white and don't share a similarity as you skin-wise, I grew up poor and in a stressful home. So, when I heard white feminist complaining about irrelevant topics I would roll my eyes. They often complained about privilaged issues that I found annoying. So, when people asked me what my feminist role model was, I wouldnt be able to answer. Just recently I've been interested in Mrs. Clark's work and I find her absolutely intelligent and strong. I think women need to look up less to the Kardashians and more to Clark! She's so amazing!

    • @winterlynn9012
      @winterlynn9012 5 років тому +6

      I've never heard curly hair referred to as trashy. The curly hair just looked terrible on Clark. Especially when it was short. It didn't suit her features and made her look harsh. The straight hair just fit her better and she looked more feminine and it softened her appearance. On some people itd be the opposite and curly hair would suit them. I'm a natural born brunette..my hair was jet black. It didn't suit me and despite my Hispanic background I was very pale as a child. Kids would call me Morticia Addams or vampire because my black hair in contrast to my pale skin made me look weird. So at 11 I lightened it with dye and finally at 12 my mom bleached it blonde. Blonde suited me so much better and now I'm in my 30s and still keep it blonde. Nothing against dark hair it just didn't suit me personally. That's the same point with Marcia's curly do..it didn't suit her. I don't know why the media cared so much about it but then again they picked on everyone during this trial. Kato kaelin was called a slacker and a moocher and teased about his hair but he embraced it and went along with it. That's the key to getting the media to leave you alone. Learn to laugh at yourself and not take them so seriously and they'll move on to the next person.

      Curly hair just didn’t suit her narrow face but damn, straight her turned her into a completely different person!

    How the defense team was allowed to continuously break the law..act in blatantly arrogant fashion...and be permitted to keep the B.a.r. card after the gross misconducts is beyond me. Had Clark, Darden, and the rest of the D.A office stood up to Ito on day 1 when he continually committed the fraudulent representation of a fair and honorable truth servant.. The defendant would be in jail or dead from being convicted. Rightfully so might I add. The defense team...and the defendant were allowed to get away with blatant, willful murder....all with the help of a judge who was so concerned about his public image. The prosecution tried..hard...very hard...but they as well could have and should have presented more(along with and on top of all the) concrete evidence in which they did in fact have. Marsha Clark is imo..the epitome of class,honor,courage, and commitment. Bravo Ms. Clark and Mr. Darden!!!

    My mom was a single mother and Ibmay be biased but I think she was just about the best mom ever. She jugled work full time while raising myself and my autistic brother...all while battling cancer at the time. She won that battle with cancer and went on to be with us for another 28 years. She ultimately passed while trying to fight off another attack from another form of cancer. The cancer was terminal but that wasn't what killed her. No, in the end she died from kidney failure from the extreme amounts of chemo she was taking in order to stay with us just a little while longer. I didn't have a full grasp on how difficult it must have been raising us until after she passed and I brought my brother to live with me in order to take over his care.(and because I love my little bro. Lol) Its been difficult at times but luckily my mom raised me right and instilled me with everything I would need to care for my brother. Anyone raised by a single mother will know the vast amount that we owe to single moms. To all the single mothers out there I sincerely applaud and thank you from the bottom and depths of my heart. We can never repay all you have done for us.
    P.s. sorry to go on a diatribe in a video about Marcia Clark but the "single mother trying to get home to her kids" part hit me right in the damn feels. Lmao. Hell, if even one single mom reads this and knows how much we appreciate them then it's worth it.

      That's what he said in the show, but I want to know what he actually said, you can tell he didn't make the same comment. I think he said "I thought the victims were represented by Ms Clark", and then everybody laughed

    If you ask me what the problem is, besides those horrible practices from the defense, is feminism and divorce who make believe to women that they'll be happier alone and working for a boss, that's a pure lie.

    She lost the one of easiest cases on the planet, the evidence was all there against Simpson.
    The problem was that she became a distraction by what she would wear and the news channels were reporting on this more than on Simpson's obvious guilt.

    • @zufgh

      It was a perfect storm of things that led to the prosecution losing, but it has to be said that Clakr's naivety in thinking that race wouldn't be weaponised and exploited by the defence at every turn, and thinking that the black women on the jury would particularly care about the domestic abuse angle, did its small part in helping her lose the case.

    Wow. I never looked at the other side of things. All I saw as a teen (on every channel at my house) was O.J. and his supposed innocence. I always believed that man took some part in Nicole's death, or knew more than he admitted to. What I didn't realize, Marcia had deep secrets and suffered mentally behind the divorce and possibly losing her kids. And the fact that ppl were so demeaning and petty about her hair🤷‍♂️. This gal was a tough cookie considering the case she had to build, trying to be a mother, etc.
