For a team of our past and glory history yes it is underachieving but the last 12 years have been horrible so yes and no we have underachieved in alot of people's eyes but I think that this is just the beginning of something big. And if we get a new owner? Boy the big clubs must watch out.

That’s more so because they’re English and Chelsea players than anything, he wouldn’t show bias to foreign Chelsea players and they are usually who he criticises most

Fans are supposed to be incredibly biased, that's a big part of what makes the game exciting. It means you get to clown them when they are this wrong. I had Sterling down as a flop, but I will at least come to his defense somewhat. Clearly his picks were contingent on Chelsea as a whole having a very good season, which I think most people would have predicted. I always felt Chelsea flattered to deceive with their transfer policy though; delighted to be proven right about them.

As a Chelsea fan who used to follow Rory's channel on UA-cam, I can say that practically everything he says is completely irrational... Man Utd have been very good this season, and trust me it's hard for me to say this.

Rory knew what he was doing with his Haaland prediction. Either it comes true and he's made a brilliant prediction or it doesn't and he gets publicity for it every time Haaland scores. How many times have you seen that clip over the season? It's kind of genius that he said it because he's kept relevant all season

Tbf United were in a bit of a diar situation come the start of the season. They had had an utterly chaotic transfer window at that point (they hadn't gotten Casemiro by then) and had not gotten rid of the deadwood from last season.
Ten Hag has done a good job to get top 4, but not a great one.

I really worry for sky as it seems they’re keen on bringing in people who are popular on social media through click baiting their terrible knowledge of the game when there’s a lot of quality analysis out there. Maybe there’s hope for BT as they seem to be restructuring and Laura woods in for Jake Humphrey is a positive move. It’s a massive shame that sky are going clickbait over good analysis especially for the ridiculous money it costs

I caught some of the transfer deadline shows on youtube & it was embarrassing. Basically just fans saying who they want at their clubs. No insight. No journalism. Terrible!
Sky sports did this for the UA-cam views. TV is dying - this video on its own will be more popular then their last 5 TV clipped videos combined. State of the media landscape and legacy brands like Sky trying anything to stay relevant.

At the end the manager only picks the team and tactics, the players have to go out and do the job, when you earn £x thousands a week and you're a professional footballer you should be doin your jobs. So hats off to Bournemouth players for doin their job.

Man UTD have played more games than anyone else in the league by quite some distance. For example the semi finals again Brighton was there 55th game compared to brightons 37th game.
So on one hand Rory said United wouldn’t finish Top 4 in the pre-season, and on the other hand them finishing 5th with a trophy is somehow underachievement

Why is Thogden so surprised with the Brentford relegation shout, while he predicted Fulham. There's 5 points between them.
Chelsea's downfall last season was evident and although it has been amplified by Boehly's takeover it was quite obvious that they would not finish top 3 again. Although nobody seemed to care about how poor they were at the end of last season, if u looked even a bit at it it was obvious that they were nowhere as good as they were at the start of it. This was not an "anomaly season", and they will not just go back to normal next season, they will need time to come back to the top.
These things really expose how little Rory knows about football.

I have been harsh on Rory just like everyone else, and rightfully so because that take on Erling is undoubtedly as close as you can get to making a take that ensures no one will ever take your words serious again. Nominee for the worst prediction in the history of football, but all that being said its fairplay for him to take it on the chin here. Warrants some respect for him to eat his words like this, even if I will always see his opinions on football as more of jokes than actual opinions.

Their prediction is all based on how well the team did in the transfer market. Season surprises Nottingham Forest? No team in history has done after bringing in huge number of players. If anyone watched preseason they would have seen Arsenal/United were doing quite well and chelsea/tottenham were quite poor.
Gary Oneil took over Bournemouth from Scott Parker, who gave up on staying up, after losing 9 0 to Liverpool. And they survived with games to spare. Excellent job
