Andy Cole, Rio Ferdinand and John Terry, my 3 picks. Cole was as good a goalscorer as anybody, and did it without pens, and scored over 180 pl goals. Outstanding. Rio is i think the best defender and won multiple PL titles, Terry is a great goalscoring CB, and was a terrific defender. Tbh a great group of players to choose from.
The point of the hall of fame is getting lost. It doesn't matter who gets in first. It only matters that they do. The point is to give those who go into the hall of fame an official form of recognition for their contributions and to let them have a moment where they can give a speech, tell a story or two, take in that moment and share it with their loved ones and ultimately to leave behind a piece of legacy for all those who weren't around to see them play in their prime and for those who need be reminded of them. It makes absolutely no sense to induct players who retired only a few years ago. The premier league should be focussing on players from the 90s that have, to a certain extent become forgotten or under appreciated over the years. And every year should have a headliner along with a few lesser known people, older people should be given priority for obvious reasons. Sir Alex and Wenger should both have had their own separate years instead of having to share it.

Defensively miles ahead of Ferdinand and Terry! Some of his PL defensive stats are better in 300 games less than both
Vidic is not british so he wont be there
Agreed there is a reason why England's defensive was never considered world class even though they had Rio/Terry. Imo they were both good but quite overrated as most English players were during that era. Vidic was better than Rio and Carvalho was better than Terry. But if the topic is who is the a hall of famer it could just be Rio/Terry because they stayed in PREM for most of their careers and won a lot.
@@tamim3319 That’s why the “golden generation” never won anything for England!
@@tamim3319carvalho being better than Terry is obscene, the gap between Terry and carvalho is exactly like vidic and Ferdinand hell the gap between Terry and carvalho might be bigger
I get that this was made for click bait and drama, but the only real way to get a proper discussion and their true opinion was say they weren’t allowed to pick players that played for their own clubs (I.e. Rory could pick Arsenal players but not Chelsea players)
As an Arsenal fan, I have to agree with Rory. Those 3 deserve to go in the most
vidic and ferdiandn were better than terry
John Terry is the best premier league CB ever. Im a United fan and Vidic and Rio were an incredible partnership but Terry had attributes that both of those possess and his goal contribution is unrivalled
I am sorry but rio is the best no doubt followed up closely by terry idk why ppl forget about ferdinand but in 3 out of these nominees terry and Ferdinand has to be there
Ferdinand, Terry and Ashley Cole. Surely that’s a no brainer?
Yeah, 100% the 3 for me
For me Vidic is better than all of them
Ferdinand Terry and Andy* Cole
Owen.. only player in the list do win ballon d'or
Cech got most clean sheets ever he needs in over Rio
Sol Campbell is criminally underrated tbf, but no way getting picked over John Terry and Ashley Cole.
Roberto Carlos watching this laughing hard 😹😹😹
Ashley Cole is a better LB then Roberto. Roberto was famous for his free kicks. But LBs aren’t made for free kicks. Roberto was also good in attack but not a beast in defense. Cole was better in attack and defense.
@@JnoPrds there's more to Roberto Carlos than fifa lad
@@JnoPrds Marcello? IDK im just saying.
Rory the king of the outlandish statement. How he has a platform is beyond me!!
Who? Maldini is having fits
"Maldini comes close" deary me😂 by far and away the best left back of all time, I'll give you Ashley Cole coming second but it's a distant second.
Little kids who have never seen any other player apart from those who play for their team! 😂
Maldini is the best LB of all time... bar none
He doesn't even make top 5 oat even Jordi Alba has bigger legacy than Cole
@@2g772 Maldini, Roberto Carlos, Marcelo, Alba, Paul Breitner, etc etc.. Cole isnt even close
@@jordansimon570 not Alba. Lizarazu. Even Irwin

You can say that for a number of players, more names will be added
The Luther vandross joke cracked me up! Soo well timed 😂😂
Made me smile! And I really did n't mean it🎶🎶
Tony Adams is the only player to have captained a team to a league title in 3 different decades
But only played in the prem for one of those, pointless comment
Vidic and Ferdinand won 5 premier league titles and a champions league 😂
I found out today that Roberto Carlos was a center forward. Thanks Rory.
I’d have the two Coles and Ferdinand. But there are so many good names you can’t go wrong. Terry, Irwin, Cech, Vidic are all good options.
3:00 no debate on LB?
Irwin was 2 footed.
Irwin could mark a winger our of the game.
Irwin could attack as good as Cole.
Irwin could play RB as easily as LB.
Could take free kicks, corners and penalties.
Awesome defined. Cole was better than Nevilles, Evra and Valencia. Not better than Irwin.
Have to agree with Rory's picks for this time.
To be fair to Rory, those three Chelsea picks are beasts. No way Campbell or Adams before JT. Cole to be fair is 3rd highest goal scorer in Prem history, not sure why Wright is already there.
I agree, I have no clue what Les Ferdinand and Defoe are doing there. This is not the Hall of very good it's the Hall of fame, there should be higher standards.
Yep, Giggs for example who has won 13 pl titles, second most pl appearances, and most pl assists still hasn’t been chosen or even nominated. Bit ridiculous to be honest.
@@WalesTheTrueBritons probably cos of his off-field antics
Exactly. What next? Kevin Phillips & Niall Quinn??
@Kayvee This is about What happens on the pitch, or it’s supposed to be.
Agree regarding Defoe however, Ferdinand was brilliant before his big injury in 97. Was still fairly reliable in front of goal for a good few years after that.
''Remove Maldini from the chat and it's Ashley Cole'' Rory makes me laugh.
He’s got a point though
Robbie always bringing up the invincibles is hilarious but let's be real if any other team had done the fans would be doing the same thing haha
Don’t forget Ashley Cole was apart of it so his invincibles argument doesn’t matter when they both have one invincible
Rory saying Ashley Cole best ever is silly. Like damn he was one hell of a player and probably is the best lb in EPL....but best in the world? Pass me whatever you’re smoking man.
It shouldn't be a popularity vote, and it's always the big teams.
Well they are a big team for a reason. 😂
Biggest players, play for the biggest teams, who win the titles.
Well yeah but as they've pointed out you've got Kane who hasn't won a title who's nailed on to be included, Gerrard already in it and hasn't won it.
Shearer has only won it once so does that mean he shouldn't be included?
2:14 "I've subtracted all bias... You look at the players, you look at what they achieved, and you look and how good they were in their respective positions"
And then proceeds to pick John Terry over Rio Ferdinand 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
John Terry modeled himself on Adams ( but without big Tony's class )
Adams did have his vices.
its andy cole, gary neville and rio ferdinand before anyone else. 187 goals with 1 pen, 12 prem titles, 6 titles with 3 in a row.
there are 3 generations of united players that get in before any city/chelsea player lol.

Won the ballon do'r after scoring 16 league goals as a striker. Come on really
Rory’s argument that Chelsea in 05 accrued more points so they are a better team is complete nonsense. Points tally is all relative to the season it’s played in.
Never ever is Campbell and adams going in before terry and Ferdinand
Adams, Ferdinand, Cole .Rory just a young lad who doesn't know football as much as he thinks. Fair play Robbie, put him in his place 👏

He’s an all time great but come on..
Bar the argument with Carlos, ad Lahm being a RB, who is the best LB?
@@johnnyedge12 carlos was a RB? But anyways maldini is just well clear. He’s literally one of the best footballers of all time, how u gonna say Andy Cole was better😅
Yeah I’d say he was the best going both ways. Maldini was better defensively and Marcelo and Carlos were better going forward but going both ways Ashley Cole was best imo
Denis Irwin was great aswell
That shot of Robbie at 7:14 was jokes, man lookekd shook.
We all know why Defoe & Les is one the list 🤷🏻♂️
It's currently light of defenders, so:
Ashley Cole, John terry, Rio Ferdinand, Branislav Ivanovic, Nemanja Vidic
Mid shouts - Cesc Fabregas, Micheal Carrick, David Silva (When retired) Yaya Toure?
Forwards: Ronaldo (practically retired) Van Persie, Van Nistelroy, Vardy (when Retired)
Tony Adams gotta be in and so does Terry
Do only 3 get chosen each year ?
And is their a timetable? Meaning if a player is not voted in within 10-15- however many years ? Then no longer eligible?
i’ve gone for cech, terry and giving defoe some flowers especially what he did for bradley Lowery
i had cech, owen and defoe. Owen is the only player outside of Ronaldo to win the ballon at an English club.
Defoe does not go in there before people most of them on the list lol
@@coreyblakee332 he shouldn't go in there at all. I get, that people feel nostalgic about him and that maybe they may consider him a club legend at Sunderland or Spurs, but he was average at best, spending most of his carrer in Spurs, at a time, when they were average at best.
"I've subtracted all bias..." Rory is something else, love this mad little grem
Dennis Irwin was levels above any modern day fullbacks
No he wasn’t 😂😂😂

Adams won the league 13 years after his first league title as captain for arsenal 1989 and 2002
Hello, how are you doing today I hope you’re having a great morning so far God bless you
All I’m saying is if Ryan Giggs isn’t in the shortlist because of an ongoing matter relating to off-pitch matters, Terry shouldn’t be in as he was found guilty of racially abusing a player while playing.
Vidic, Ferdinand, Ashley Cole. All were the best in their positions throughout their PL careers.
"Ashley Cole is the best left-back to play the game"
guess Maldini and Roberto Carlos played tennis
100% agree with your take on this. Sadly the IPF's [Internet Plastic Fans] don't seem to be able to grasp the points that you have put.
