Unlikely Saints will finish first or even second as I have seen how poor our team was losing two home friendlies last week. Poor defence still happening for us so middle of table I guess so, missing out on promotion.
Southampton had good performances all pre season, only losing to a prem team, a champions league team and a europa league team. Ward-Prowse looks likely to stay, and it looks like the only quality players they might lose is Sulemana and Lavia, so it’s very likely they’ll have a great season in the championship
I love being underestimated, would love Wednesday to surprise everyone!

Coventry lost Gyokeres but have sensibly bolstered the squad with some good signings. If we do hold on to Hamer I’m optimistic for an even better season. It can’t start as badly as it did last season. Opening game v Leicester is going to be massive!

If you're talking about a team that could make a late push into the playoffs then it's got to be Plymouth Argyle, I think they're going to do well. We're in a great place & we have all the momentum with us.

@@joshgeeves8902 it’s one of the top academies, of course it is. Their U18’s finished second to Man City last season. The younger age groups are all top teams. The first team has the youngest squads in all four leagues as well. Don’t be bitter.

Everyone sleeping on Leeds but we’ve got a manager who’s won it twice with an average championship squad minus pukki and Buendia. If we manage to keep Sinisterra he’ll have any full back on skates add a good striker and we can beat anyone in the league on the day.
some mad underating of the Leeds squad going on Sinisterra and Gnonto are world class (if fit), looks like Harrison and Adams stay past transfer deadline cos theyre injured too. they will be some outgoings but Ampadu looking good and a top champ manager in Farke

Where definitely going for promotion and believe we can win the league but we’re for sure a bit overhyped, and honestly wouldn’t be mad if we stay down a season or maybe two to let enzo establish his squad and philosophy before going up
After the new signing sheffield wednessday have had in the last week I think we have a good chance tk finish mid table I don't think we will get related after bringing in some good new talents
I feel like peoples predictions on Wednesday will change after these signings

Not sure on Southampton, Russell Martins style of play usually doesn't get enough of the attacking players.
Leeds with the attacking players they have should be getting automatic promotion pretty easily.
Leeds have a poor defence, and with players like Edozie and Tella being in Southamptons attack I can see them having a dangerous strike force next season. I also think Adam Armstrong might be much better next year and bag quite a few goals
@@OliverBelcher-es4py Not doubting Southamptons quality, Russel Martin is obsessed with keeping the ball. That doesn't suit attacking players a lot of the time, they need to be given freedom.

Pretty certain we’ll be going straight back up, only if we get a decent striker though.
If we don’t get a striker we will be lucky for play offs.
Last time we were in the Championship that season was one of the best I’ve ever had as a fan. St Mary’s was electric and we battled Reading the entire season for the top spot. If I remember correctly we were top 2 pretty much the entire season. Really hoping we have another one like that but take the 1st spot rather than 2nd this time around.
Great away days last time we were in the Champ, 3000 of us off to Wednesday on Friday too which is a great start to the season.
I remember that myself as a long time Saints fan i recall Nigel Adkins taking us from league one to championship and then straight up to the prem. we do need a striker but tbh my bigger concerns is a Gk both of ours let sloppy goals in and I do think that needs to be the one area we strengthen, looking forward to Friday and getting off to a good start.

Not spending enough, we’ve signed 6 great players with 2 more to come. Everyone always writes Rotherham off because we’re a small club however I think we might just surprise next season.

Ofc im a Leicester supporter so i have a slight bias but id make 1 change to his calls. Instead of Middlesbrough i think Southampton will get automatic promotion and give us one heck of a title race. Gonna be a super interesting season and argubly the most stacked championship in years.

I do think Ipswich are overhyped, I think they'll do well but going up over Coventry, Boro, Leicester just seems a bit of a stretch.

As. Saints fan I wish I had the confidence that so many on here seem to have in us going back up first time. We could lose half our starting lineup before the transfer window shuts and then have to reboot and start again. We need to get the right balance between experience and youth, something we got wrong last season. One to watch - Sam Amo Ameyaw, turned 17 a few days ago but has been one of the stand out players during pre-season and plays in the style of Arsenal’s Saka.
think we’ll lose lavia and those not needed but think we’ll keep some big players tbh. really hope we can buy a better goalkeeper, i have no faith in bazunu and him alone with cost us vital points again.

This aged well, Southampton have the worst defence I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen Huddersfield 18/19 and Sheff United 23/24.
I think Leeds will flopp hard and don't even get top 6. And i think Leicester and Sunderland will get automatic promotion
