Good picks, but some criticism. I feel like you should’ve had two circuits tracks. Reason: because each game should get two retro circuits. It didn’t have to be two Mario Circuits, but you could’ve kept Mario Raceway. Snes Mario Circuit 3 could’ve stayed, but definitely moved to the Banana Cup. Or if you don’t want to have two Mario circuits, then you could’ve picked Mario Raceway and GCN Luigi Circuit. The whole thing with Frappe Snowland felt really weird. You should’ve kept Sherbet Land. It would have been too soon to even bring back Frappe Snowland. This last is a nitpick, so nothing for this impacted my thoughts on the video. But I felt like you should’ve used more Special Cup courses. They hardly get remade, and usually Mushroom and Flower Cup tracks get the spotlight. Although this is fine without being in the video. Overall, decent job, but glaring flaws.
@@nerdlywackoHere's a video about fixing the retro tracks from DS to the Wii U DLC made by AtomicQuince. ua-cam.com/video/ALh8rECAqfQ/v-deo.htmlsi=px5ClsvjP8SrMnTP
I cannot believe it! The long awaited sequel is finally here! Overall, fairly solid picks, and GBA Yoshi Desert was definitely a good choice for the Lightning Cup‘s first spot, replacing SNES Mario Circuit 3. For the other 3 cups, the changes that I would make are: • Keep N64 Mario Raceway in the Shell Cup as the second track, however, Moo Moo Farm is a pretty good choice. I actually would have chosen N64 Luigi Raceway, as it fits well for the Shell Cup as an early track. • For the Banana Cup, I actually would have replaced SNES Choco Island 1 with 2 and fixed any issues that plagued the original track, removing any frustration given to players, 1 is ok, but it would have to be 5 laps if it was included here, I also would have replaced GCN Baby Park with either Daisy Cruiser (Removing it from the DS video, and putting Baby Park in the Shell Cup there, along with Dry Dry Desert in the Banana Cup) or Mushroom City, though the latter would have clashed with DS Shroom Ridge, so Daisy Cruiser would fit the bill better in my opinion. Baby Park does work better in Wii though, with the better item selection, and me wanting to replace it with Daisy Cruiser, was because it would later appear in 8 Deluxe. N64 Frappe Snowland or Sherbet Land being included here really depends, so I won’t complain too much about it, though they could have had N64 Sherbet Land appearing in DS, and Frappe Snowland in Wii, my thoughts personally. • And finally, the Star Cup doesn’t really need too much changing, a good selection overall. It’s a shame that GCN Mario Circuit wasn’t included, because that is one of the better circuits, and GCN Waluigi Stadium would later return in 8 Deluxe, but not in Tour as of April. DS Tick Tock Clock would return in 8 Deluxe under its new form, but I personally like the original, if they could have spruced it up a bit, so that’s still good to see, and GBA Cheep Cheep Island is definitely a better version of Shy Guy Beach, even if it partly clashes with the N64 track, which thankfully doesn’t, since they’re not next to each other. I will admit though, seeing that it took until the second DLC pack in 8 Deluxe for the GBA to get some proper love, is pretty sad to me, but I’m glad that they’re giving it a better chance, now with only the Special Cup to be remade. Nice footage from Mario Kart Wii Deluxe by the way, I haven’t had a go at it, so I may have to check that out at some point. Now that the DS and Wii are done, you don’t have to make videos on these, but in terms of courses, what courses are missing in 7 and 8 that you would like to see added instead of what we got? And for 8 Deluxe, if there was a Battle Pass, what battle courses would you like to see return? Overall, good for you for making this video, and it certainly is good to see how well a lot of the tracks fit, more than the DS, so top notch job mate! Anyways, thanks for reading, and hopefully, I’ll see you next time! 👋
The Battle Pass thing is a video topic I want to cover as soon as possible, so I’ll keep that in mind. Mario Kart 7 really had a few courses that didn’t stick out well, so if I had to pick. GBA Lakeside Park > DS DK Pass N64 Wario Stadium > N64 Kalimari Desert For Mario Kart 8, I just wanted Wario Colosseum so.. I’d swap GCN Sherbet Land onto the Banana Cup and replace GCN Dry Dry Desert there.
@@GoldenDryBonesandStu, yeah, I agree on that. GBA Lakeside Park actually has a remake on CTGP-7, and that was definitely impressive for redesigning the environment of the track, but still keeping the original layout! And N64 Wario Stadium DOES deserve a proper remake, if Rainbow Road was made better in 8, why not this track in 7? Not forgetting Wario Colosseum replacing Dry Dry Desert all together, as that course is much more complex and fun. We’re yet to find out the final 16 tracks for the Booster Course Pass, and for the ones I‘m hoping return, I would pick SNES Bowser Castle, if it does return in Tour, GBA Sunset Wilds, though Yoshi Desert is a close second, GCN Daisy Cruiser, Mushroom City and Dino Dino Jungle, Mushroom Bridge and DK Mountain are also possible, and Wii Koopa Cape and Rainbow Road, however, Dry Dry Ruins is a possibility since it is now in Tour, we‘ll have to wait for confirmation from Nintendo.
I disagree with Frappe Snowland being here. Yes, some retro tracks are bound to return in future titles, but keep in mind that before Wii was released, there were only 16 retros that existed (not counting Super Circuit's extra tracks), so I feel that it’d be too early to reuse one in this timeline. I’d just keep N64 Sherbet Land there instead.
I don't think the cups need fixing. I like them as they are; all the tracks translated perfectly to Mario Kart Wii and it's artstyle. Regardless of whether the coruses are people's favourites, I think it's a strong selection and wouldn't have it any other way.

Pretty solid list, personally I think 1 retro circuit would be fine. Just the one thing that I always have a grip the retro grandprixs is that they don’t feel like they’d mirror an actual Nitro grand prix. 7 and 8 were close but failed to have a Bowser’s Castle right before rainbow road. If I made a Retro Grandprix, I’d try to build it how Most Nitro Grandprixs offer, Circuits, Desert, Snow Track, Beach, Wario Track, DK/Jungle Track, Car Track, Bowser’s Castle, Rainbow Road. Imo we still haven’t had a perfect Retro Grandprix
Also with what you said about not doing MK7 and MK8 retros. I do think it’s understandable why you don’t want to renovate them, but it would be cool if you did following the timeline of your videos. Since a lot of retros you used in your ds and Wii videos were used in 8. Plus, 7 needs some cleaning up with some of its retros. Mainly shifting the spots of some and removing one of the N64 tracks.

I don’t truly agree with Tick-Tock Clock. I like that it is consistent, but in all honesty, it would come at a cost; it would be too empty for a game like Mario Kart Wii. I would personally replace it with either Airship Fortress, or heck, even move DS Peach Gardens into the Leaf cup, and move Airship Fortress to the Lightning Cup, just to be safe. And Moo Moo Farm??? This would have been a no-brainer, just keep N64 Mario Raceway, or if you didn’t want two Mario Circuits, you could put GCN Yoshi Circuit and keep Mario Raceway but add a few more obstacles to it, to make it more challenging, like some Goombas. But in all honesty, why even replace N64 Sherbet Land when it is the more better choice that Frappe Snowland added twice? And I agree with @nerdywacko, replace GCN DK Mountain with GCN Bowser’s Castle, and N64 Bowser’s Castle with N64 Rainbow Road, to match the standard of Special Cup tracks.
Bro not only upgraded one of the worst track selections in the series that is mario kart ds but you also made the best track selection even better and that is mario kart wii. But shroom ridge and tick tock clock are bad choices although.

Yes they do in some cases like it be way better to end the game with a retro rainbow road and having 3 Mario tracks is so stupid.

I would release this game on 2009 instead of 2008!
The Nitro Tracks are my favorite selection but I want to make em even more creative
Mushroom Cup: Lineland Meadows, Cavi Cape, Mushroom Gorge, Bob’omb’s Factory

Star Cup: Sarasaland, Koopa’s Tycoon Town, Maple Treeway, Freezeflame Volcano
Special Cup: Moonview Highway, Melty Molten Wastelands, Castle Beck, Bowser’s Galaxy Reactor
For the Battle Stages: Toytime Playroom, Delfino Pier, Funky Stadium, Chain Chomp Circus, Bullet Bill Tower, Fawful Express, Peach’s Castle, Outer Space Colosseum, Honeybee Hive, King Boo’s Phantom Manor
I would add Paper Mario, Paper Luigi, Paper Peach, Paper Bowser, Dimentio, Count Bleck, Midbus, Blizzard Midbus, Fawful, Kamek, Hammer Bro, Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Honeybee Queen!
Even though it’s not a desert track, I really think Cheese Land would fit well as the Lightning Cup’s opening track, but I’ll take Yoshi Desert
Cheese Land is way too easy, or atleast in Super Circuit.

I'm kinda surprised that Luigi Raceway didn't get swapped for Royal Raceway.
Luigi Raceway isn't in Mario Kart Wii
They should have added 5 GCN tracks 5 DS tracks 3 N64 2GBA 1 SNES

I can't belive you kept n64 bowser castle at the end, because i don't like it as a ending, at least replace it whit SNES Rainbow Road
Bro not only upgraded one of the worst track selections in the series that is mario kart ds but you also made the best track selection even better and that is mario kart wii. But shroom ridge and tick tock clock are bad choices although.
You didn't need to eliminate circuits entirely. 1 or 2 would be fine. Just no more than that.

Why does the mario kart wii gameplay have weird visuals
It’s either the capture card, the Wii U quality, or how Wii looked in general.
(or the Mario Kart Wii Deluxe mod being run on real hardware)
@@GoldenDryBonesandStuWii games on Wii U look worse than they do on a Wii due to the black borders and bad aspect ratio stretching.
And do a video where you ruin mk7’s retro tracks.
