Not an expert but I've heard torque specs are pretty important on suspension changes/upgrades and important in general. Do you have any info on those specs. Obviously per your video, hand tight will suffice but thought I'd comment and see if I can get a definitive answer.
Yes we sure do. All of the torque specs are in the instructions that are included with the UCAs and on the product pages. ironman4x4america.com/pro-forge-upper-control-arms-suited-for-2003-toyota-4runner/
Posted just in time as my pair are on the way for my 2022 TRD Off Road with only 3,500 miles. Hopefully I can easily do this in my garage, and reference this vid along the way.
Did you get the issues you had sorted out? Come with new style ball joint now? Where are these manufactured in? Rubber bushings? Tinker seems to really like them. Thanks.
As I understand it the ball joints were replaced? Is your website description and photos of the UCA up to date? Some say they received replacement UCA with moog ball joints requiring zerk grease fillings periodically instead of previous maintenance free ball joints that were sealed. Can you confirm what the new UCA are? Just want make sure what getting before order/install. Thank you.
@@chadw.6049 You are correct. The ball joints have been replaced on all UCAs. If you have any further questions reach out to our Customer Service team. 855-476-5714
Are the new ball joint Moog ball joints that require periodic greasing? Or are they maintenance free sealed ball joints like you use to have and your web site still states have?
@@chadw.6049 Some UCA's will have greaseable ball joints and some will have sealed, maintenance free. Whether you get get the MOOG ball joints or the OEM sealed ball joints, they are premium quality.
Great video, couldnt you cut the main UCA bolt at the head, get a new bolt from Toyota, and push it back in/up from the bottom to avoid bending sheet metal? Thats what I did and I added a grade 8 nylock nut to replace stock nut. Makes taking the parts off again in the future much easier once it is flipped.
My UCA's came with 2x large washers that look to fit on the through bolt up top. I don't see these being mentioned in the video or in the instructions that came with the UCAs. Any tips?
We do offer an adjustable panhard bar but we only recommend it if after a lift install you have rear axel alignment issues. It works great to help correct track. But not always critical so check with an alignment shop first to see if you need it before you spend money on a problem you may not have.
Any chance these will work on Prerunner model? Thx in advance
No torque specs?
That was a little sketchy. I torque everything now.
Thru bolt is 85 ft/lb for those wondering
@@statjams01 How can you get the torque wrench in there to torque the nut down?
You guys need to sell the rubber caps for these UCAs. Water and dust always get stuck there.

What is that magnet light? I need that
Do you know who makes the ball joint that come is the UCAs? I know they're OEM spec, but curious who makes them.
do i need a spacer on the left side to keep it form leaning ?
Depends on the suspension kit installed on the vehicle. Lifting a vehicle with KDSS can cause lean where a spacer would come in handy.
@@Ironman4x4America i have stage 4 from you guys none kdss 5gen
@@alexanderup6095 Our kit was engineered to accommodate for the lean. No need for spacers.

The larger washers are used for the bump stops.
Do you need to install panhard correction kit with lift ?

Got a stage 4 lift, armor kit, bumper with winch and side steps on my 2023 runner. I love this product and has been rock solid!
Are you doing your LCA too? Im curious which one people are pairing with an ironman UCA.
You guys sell the Vest on your site? : )
