Seems like there is no way to connect the superchargers to the brights only? Looks like it's gotta be one plate or the other. My lights are coming Thursday, so I watched your vid in preparation. Good video, things explained/demonstrated well. Also: Do you have spacers on your wheels? If so how do you feel they impact driving?
Unfortunately no. It’s either superchargers or no superchargers. Thank you! I do not have spacers. I did for one day, but they caused too much rubbing. If you check my Instagram (@5Gen4R) you can see the new suspension I put on it and 34” tires!
I am never taking that front end off again! lol. Luckily I did not have those issues. I did have to take it apart twice because I forgot about the bottom brackets which you mentioned not to do in your install video LOL. I'll probably leave those in until I trade it at a later time. Also, my left side in that poor design area does not snap back like it did stock. I agree, those are MUCH nicer than the FORM but I only paid 830 for my set. Congrats!
Hey man, it happens! I forgot to install mine at one point lol. You might have a broken bracket if it didn’t snap in like before. I loved my Forms, but I didn’t want to give it a third try.
@@ProjectAbate I had some work done on my hood, and I asked the body shop to try. He said a little flap was flipped wrong, they got it tighter but he said it's a poor design and sometimes they just don't snap back the same once you fool with them.
Driver side beam needs to be aimed higher to match passenger side. You can benefit from advanced optics fullest with correct aim. When aimed against the wall, both driver side and passenger side cutoff shall be same matching height. If your vehicle is stock height(no lift or larger tires fitted), cutoff shall be same height as ground to center of the headlamp height( if you look headlamp lens closer in front of outer projector, you will see small circle indication, this is called Optical center mark). In short, Step 1 : measure distance(height) from ground to optical center mark, Step 2: find wall 25' feet away on leveled ground, adjust aim so cutoff line height from the ground is same as lamp height you measured in step 1. BOTH driver side and passenger side to be same height. If your vehicle is lifted total up tp 4.5", then you want to see your cutoff to be 2" below headlamp height at 25' distance wall. Anything more than 4.5' lift total 3" down aim is needed. You will even enjoy maximum potency of XB Evo optics, and to add note, even SC driver is labeled as Offroad use only, low beam is assessed not to cause glare by IIHS glare evaluation method. It is still highly refined and regulated. reach out Morimoto for aiming guide if visual is needed
I have the Lifestyle fang lights. What did you tap into for yours to work? The 4runnerforlife says tap into the turn signal bulb, but I'm putting the XB lights in as well. Of course, the OEM is made differently than the XB lights. I don't want to tap into the new XB lights if i don't need to.
since you ran the DRL and headlight heater function to your auxbeam board, those features will only work when you press your designated button on your main switch in the cab? And will you still need to flash the highbeams 4 times to activate the heater once your switch is on?
The DRLs will not turn on until I hit the Auxbeam. That being said, if I turn my headlights on via the column, the “DRL” lights will automatically come on, just a little dimmer than the actual DRLs because they’re on at night with the headlight on (I believe)…. Yes, the heaters are not automatic. You have to hit the column to activate them.
@@Mayaandkinzley sorry, I misread your initial message- I read it as are these the lights (Amber) that turn on when the car turns on. Didn’t realize you were asking if they turn with the car turning. My misunderstanding
Are you talking about AFS( beam points to the direction response to steering angle and driving speed)? then no, it does not swing optics inside to follow curve. However, beam is ample wide by design, really no need of swinging to follow curve.
Sorry you feel that way about them. I absolutely love mine after I made sure my headlight beam pattern was properly configured for my ride height. That being said, with the superchargers, I have not been flashed once. I credit that to the pattern that Morimoto designed for these. It’s not for you, it’s for others on the road
I would NOT buy anything from Morimoto. i have a pair that are a year old, and they have a five-year warranty. my driver's light does not have a working high beam, they sent a defective light with the high beam never worked; after contacting them they gave me a runaround and finally insisting I pay for a warranty light. their product isn't worth the money, and they have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I wish I never had them.

@@yoshiishida6577 thank you so much for the explanation! I will be sure to do this asap!
By any chance did you sell your form lights yet? I’d definitely be willing to buy them.
Yes. Sorry!
@ darn!! That’s okay. Thank you for the response back.
@ no worries!!
@Fishingrunner if you are still looking, I have some, never used, North Carolina.
What's the difference between the Form and the V-land lights? They look better than the morimoto ones. All though the morimotos are probably brighter
Cant speak on behalf of the V-land ones as I’ve never owned them. I prefer the Morimotos, and they are 110% brighter than the others
