Alaska Railroad 152 at The Huckleberry Railroad 7/10/21

Its a rather nice summers day out in Flint, Michigan and because of this, I visited Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad. I've been here several times before but each time never gets old really. The last time I was here was in 2012 (One of the first videos on my channel was from the visit: • Rio Grande #464 at the... ) but I returned with proper filming and photography equipment to get some proper shots of the 3ft. narrow gauge railroad in action. On that Saturday, Huckleberry Railroad/Alaska Railroad/US Army 152, a 1920-built 4-6-0, led the train as DRGW 464 is still down for an overhaul. Here's a few scenes from trackside of the 2 PM train leaving the former GTW Davison depot, now labeled for Crossroads Village, and then a couple clips of it returning to the village, and finally after going around the western track loop, making it's station stop at the depot. Big thanks to the train crews at Huckleberry Railroad for being very friendly, cooperative, and lenient when it came to allowing me to get the shots I did.

Cool I grew up in Genesee county and use to go there as a kid. Still drive thru a few times a month. My brother as a baby tossed his 🍼 bottle off that train and was the last one he ever got 😂
