Sheesh Legends Arceus is the true remake of the Gen 4 Sinnoh games everyone wanted. If they keep this direction with the games then I can’t wait for Gen 9
I for one am content with "Shining Pearl" to be honest. Sure I would've preferred it if ILCA incorporated more elements from "Platinum" (the least they could've done was have the "Platinum" Sinnoh Pokedex), but I enjoyed it. On the other hand, I'm glad to see some people warm up to "Legends: Arceus". Seeing three games showing love for Sinnoh in the 2020s warms my heart. :)
I’m surprised no one’s noticed this yet. This version of Route 209 symbolizes the transition from Hisui into Sinnoh: notice how it contains both the night and day versions of the Route theme, which weren’t present through the whole game. Not to mention, this is the first arrangement which remixes a specific area in modern Sinnoh unlike the other area themes
First arrangement? But don't a lot of the themes for different areas remix specific areas in modern Sinnoh? Jubilife Village's theme gradually evolves to sound more and more like its modern counterpart the more you develop it. And the Cobalt Coastlands theme, for example, has snippets of Route 210, Hearthome City, and Route 209 mixed in.
@@komarunaegi7460 I agree with you about Jubilife Village, but the Coastlands theme is a mix of different themes. Also, I forgot to mention that the places which weren't modified by humans (Eterna Forest, Stark Mountain, Mount Coronet) also remix their specific themes.
@Dr s-fon-s yeah this is the credits theme and it was beautiful well worth reaching the end of the game just to hear this. The entire music in legends is amazing but this really was the icing on the cake. The true gen 4 remake
I was in shock when I heard this playing. Almost cried a little but then just vibed to the theme while the credits rolled. This is a masterpiece, the TRUE Route 209 theme. If PLA did one thing right, its the music. They totally nailed it.
I haven't truly loved a Pokémon game in years, and was very worried that I may never again considering what has been, in my opinion, a gradual spiral downwards in quality/charm. Then comes Legends Arceus, and not only do I as one who grew up and was introduced to the series through Gen.4 feel immensely more satisfied and proud to call this the "return to Sinnoh" instead of BDSP, but I have never been so invested in Pokémon since back when I was a kid with my DS. I'm reminded of how magical Pokémon can be through exotic worlds, engaging and fun battles, quirky characters, and of course incredible music. I was hit with a flood of nostalgia upon hearing this when I first completed the main story and frankly got a little emotional. I'm praying that Legends Arceus marks a new direction for the series, because while ofc there are some problems with it, the gameplay loop is so fluid and constantly rewarding that I believe this will be a game we all remember for years and years to come. I know I'll certainly look back fondly on this title for the rest of my life.
I know, right? This strangely felt more nostalgic than BPSD to me. I noticed every little change in the game! No fertilizers, far worse Pokémon contests and that strange thing they call Underground without real bases and nothing that motivates you to actually dig up spheres because you want to collect furniture and plushies. (Didn't they see how everyone LOVES to create their own little space after Animal Crossings enormous success?)
Best part of this is that you probably just played through BDSP and went straight into Legends ARCEUS so the Sinnoh experience is probably still fresh in your mind and then they hit you with this at the credits. Damn what a great way to end 2021 with BDSP and start the year 2022 with legends ARCEUS!!
This game is like one big hug that you don't want to let go of. This is coming from a fan from since RBY and GSC. Gen 4 fans are possibly the most loyal members of pokemon's fanbase. They don't complain, they waited patiently, and they enjoy everything Gamefreak puts out, even if it didn't get good reviews, unlike some fans from my age group. They deserved this remake.

I'm an OG gen 1 player. Gen 4 really got me and it was my first absolute favorite Pokémon game. Then gen 5 came; the magic wasn't the same in Pokémon White as it was in Pokémon Pearl. Then I bought White 2 to give it another chance, but it still didn't had that magic. I skipped gen 6 and 7, because I didn't want to buy a 3DS. Around a year ago I finally got a Nintendo Switch and immediately bought Pokémon Sword. I felt myself thrown back into my childhood and teen years (I am 28 as of this comment). With BDSP I was worried that they might have ruined people's hopes, but with Legends they proved that if Gamefreak really can dedicate themselves to a game, they still can bring some dang good quality to the table, and feels like they haven't lost their magic just yet.
