The memories coming back. So nostalgic. I remember being in the ice-gym, trying forever to beat it, and then I had to get groceries. I just remember walking outside with my DS, and standing by the car. So weird how vividly you can remember random things. I remember being in the car, going to the beach, and when we were getting out, my mom told me to turn the DS off, but I thought my Roselia was one level away from evolving, so she waited for me to do that, even though it doesn't evolve from leveling up. There are numerous random things I remember about this game man. No game has more memories than this one. I want to go back to those stress-free days man. I fucking remember going to my friend's house to battle him. He had his torterra, and I had my Empoleon. I named my rival after him. Ben.

I still feel Gen 3 is the best IMO, and when Gen 4 came out I was really disappointed at first, finding it to be the weakest to date in the series. But now, 12 years later, I actually hold Gen 4 even more highly than I do Gen 1 and 2.
When I was 12 it was like Gen 3 >>> Gen 2 > Gen 1 > Gen 4, but now with my experience it's more like Gen 3 =/= Gen 5 =/= Gen 4 > Gen 2 > Gen 1 >>> Gen 7 =/= Gen 6 >>>>> Gen 8

Platinium was my third game. I am 16 today and my first Pokémon games were Heartgold and Soulsilver. Then I bought a Platinium and dang it was awsome. Untill now my personal favourite Pokémon Game.
Uber Perseus 14 and my first Pokemon game was Diamond. Relax, lean back, and enjoy the nostalgia.
Platinum was my first game and is my favorite game because of the rich storyline. Once u beat it you have so much else to do!it brought in a new era for pokemon games to this day my favorite game and region

@@blue_lux I just recently got my hands on a copy of platinum. They're pretty similar. Gotta say, though, I like pearl more so far. Haven't gotten too far in though. Gen 4 was my introduction into Pokemon, even before the show. It's soundtracks are so damn good.

As a 24 years old who has actually played every Pokemon game since Red/Blue on the Game Boy back in the 90s, I think Sinnoh has probably the best music on the games

@@albabimam1114 100% agree, although I’d say Unova’s visuals far outcompete gen 1-4, and to some extent the 3D games (although that’s more personal preference, I liked how they pushed the limits of pixels). I say this as a diehard gen 4 fan so don’t go thinking i’m some unova simp haha

I love going through the comments on videos like this to see how everyone feels about these songs. It's pretty emotional. Everyone here remembering this game with nostalgia and how amazing it was for them. My favorite generation music is gen 2/3 because they are the ones I have the fondest memories of. Seeing the people here who are slightly younger than me makes me dream of what it would be like for this to be my introductory Pokemon game even though this generation didn't strike me like the previous ones. I imagine it would be pretty similar to how everyone here feels about D/P.
Ah, the ever nostalgic sounds of Sinnoh. Sure, Emerald was my first Pokemon game and will forever be my favourite, but Diamond was the first Pokemon game where I knew what I was doing (as opposed to only using my starter and nothing else except maybe one other Pokemon) and Sinnoh is still the region I'd choose to live in, given the chance to move to the Pokemon world.
+Doctor Nobody me too.. Emerald was my first Pokemon game and that time, I was just focusing on by Sceptle (reached Lv 80 during E4). Maybe I was still doing that in Pearl, but by Platinum/HeartGold, i know what I am doing
Same. Got my Swampert to LVL 90 and used him to take on the E4. Lost to Champion Wallace Mylotic soooo many times.
beat sinnoh with my level 100 empoleon and lv 30-50 party 😂 to make it worse it took me 3 years
Ah the tunes that carried me through my first Pokemon game. This brings back so many memories from a 10 year old me with Diamond. I remember young me getting my first starter in Piplup. Being the noob I was back then I must have not understood the importance of keeping my starter because I traded away the Prinplup I had for a Happiny on my first playthrough. I was so livid when I found out you could get one of them in an egg later in the game. Wound up catching a Buizel to represent water type in my party and in a way it became my starter. It had to go through a tough test first in beating Gardenia, took me like 20 tries to beat her and that darn Roserade. That Floatzel was the first Pokemon I ever nicknamed and got to level 100 and along with my Luxray, Staraptor and Golem helped propel me through the game and Cynthia.
Aside from the adventure, my brother having Pearl so we could play together was a blast too. He was always better at battling than I. Wish I had the original copy still but it was stolen along with my original DS Lite and all my games by someone when they renovated our house. I got a second Diamond copy, but nothing compares to the first time.

Sinnoh was amazing, it was unique, it was special, it was beautiful. Sinnoh had the best story, gym leaders, characters and champion. Sinnoh has the best starters, legendaries and trio. Sinnoh has the best villainous team, who have the best boss out of all regions. Sinnoh has the best music for battling Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. Sinnoh is the best game, it is the most nostalgic game which actually brings tears in to my eyes as I listen and remember the past 8 years of my childhood. Sinnoh has the best starters, whose final forms are THE MOST BADASS OUT OF ALL GENERATIONS. IMAGINE THEM IN THEIR MEGA FORMS OMG GOD BLESS. Sinnoh is my favourite region and Diamond, Pearl and Platinum will never be replaced as my favourite games. I don't want better graphics or no gasses 3D, all I care about is how this game, my first game of pokemon, has changed my life. I would have been deprived of this beauty if my bro had not given me pearl to play when I was ill, if i had not got to Jubilife City and if i had not fallen in love with everything about this region. Sinnoh will be a remake soon and become the most badass game with hardcore battling, nostalgic, deep, strong music, and have the most challenging battles and story line. Sinnoh was, is, and will be the best generation ever. GO GEN 4 FANS!

Idk if it’s just with Sinnoh being alOT of peoples first introduction to the series or if it just has that kind of music that invokes such a strong feeling of nostalgia. Sinnoh feels like you’ve known it forever but you haven’t seen each other in over a decade. You can’t help but feel happy to see it again, knowing that your time with it is still temporary but you will enjoy it all the same and it looks forward to seeing you again
I have to say that over the many years I've been playing Pokemon (since Crystal, to be exact), I've always felt that Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum had my all time favorite Pokemon BGM...ever. It's beyond nostalgic to me. I cannot wait until they remake this game and remaster all of the amazing BGM.

I was 5 when I played this and I was such a noob, there was this one hotel and the guy in the front desk was like, "sorry, you need a reservation to stay here," and I'm like, "HOW DO I GET ONE?!?!"
Listening to this music and reading over the map is making me want to cry with nostalgia. I played this game so much and I never want to forget it. I need a remake of this just to fly around the region and relive my childhood and please the seven year old inside me once again.

I'll consider this anomalous arrangement of hits a master class in how easily one takes for granted a region in which every single one of its route themes is a lovingly crafted symphony.
So many people here who grew up with D/P/Pl. I'm sad to admit my first main series game was SoulSilver. I got into Pokémon really late (about 9 or so, 10 when I got SS) thanks to my family only ever thinking I enjoyed stuff like Nintendogs and watching the anime with my sister (but never understanding any of it - I actually thought Buizel was called "Weasel"). But before I got SS, I saw a lone copy of Platinum sitting on the small shelf of DS games of some supermarket. I saw the "cool-looking thingy" in the middle and the grey and red background of the boxart and really wanted it, but being the quiet kid I was I didn't want to bug anyone into getting me it. The only copy that supermarket literally ever had was sold a few weeks later...
But I finally got Platinum last Christmas after wanting to buy it for so long. ...And my mother goes away and puts the DS I think it's sitting in somewhere... gee, thanks.

Like seriously, the game came out 9 years ago, and they are acting like they played red and blue. Besides, HG and SS are good games to start out with.

Its all depends on your preference in style of music. If you play me a song from any Pokemon game I could tell you which gen it is from because of each game's style (And because I just know the songs).
Probably the only song I can honestly just know from DPPT is Cynthia's theme. Dppt has the best overall soundtrack, but the other games still have songs better than the majority of dppt's songs.
I actually like Gen 5’s soundtrack a lot more than Sinnoh’s.

So much nostalgia first Pokemon game. I love it.
This music is awesome. I miss playing it. I used to go route 209 just to hear the music.
This was the last game to actually mean anything. The game was really well developed and honestly now the games are super super easy. I best the entire Elite Four in Black with just a Krookadile. Diamond, the Champion had a flipping Lvl 80-something Garchomp

And Diamond has been the only game to have a really cool post-game feature, the Battle Frontier with the Battle, Survival, and Resort areas that contained a kind of sub storyline with it's own legendary. So much in this game lost to the ages, it's closing in on almost 10 years soon.... Even if they remade it it would be about a decade since the original before the remake was fully released... The feels...

My first ever Pokemon game was Diamond. I never listened to the radio as a kid, it was this. I booted up Diamond and traveled to my favorite cities like Veilstone and Jublife just for the music. Sinnoh doesn't get enough credit for its amazing music. Not to mention the 'evil team' in this game was by far one of the best. Galactic certainly surpasses Rocket and such. Cynthia was a bad as a the gym leaders were all really cool and the plot was great! Maybe this is all Nostalgia talking but Sinnoh is still my favorite region of the Pokemon world.
I still listen to all this music. Forget popular modern music, Pokémon music is my preference~

I remember getting this game for my birthday many years ago, I opened it up before school whilst the first episode of diamond and pear was on TV. I spent all most everyday on it trying to get further then my friends. so many memories like when at a school concert someone told me how to climb spear pillar, or struggling with the elite four and instead using it to train and evolve all my pc pokemon, beating Cynthia with my team of 2 new borns, becoming my school pokemon master and giving them all post game pokemon for bidoofs. I lost interest in battling people half the level of me, so school and weekends were spent messing around in the under ground I got about 200+ flags in my time. I came back here to this video not for my love of pokemon, but my application of good music, route 228 route 206 are things we should be hearing in clubs concerts and full orchestration not confined to a small hand held console with bad speakers.
Wow, this took forevvvver to make. As you can see, I've got my unlimited video time back. You can be sure I'm going to put it to good use.
As for this video, I only posted the Daytime versions (and skipped the travel themes) to reduce the video time (some routes have several versions of themselves. Route 205 has 3!). As far as the night versions go, I will eventually post another video later down the list including those and the bike and surf themes.

I've replayed most games and I felt like Emerald was the hardest or Im just underleveled idk Sinnoh was one of the easiest, being Cynthia with her Garchomp the only problem. If you can tank em you can win em.
Had to get my friend to trade me his lvl90 dialga to get past them, I had my palkia from pearl. I’m ashamed but hey I was a kid.

I didn't really start out with Sinnoh, I actually started my Pokemon journeys with Crystal. I played it all the time, and I loved it so much. I played it on long late night road trips, with that crappy little light attachment and all. I absolutely loved it. When the copy of the game broke (it didn't physically break, it just stopped working and deleted my save, I assume the internal battery ran dry), I was utterly heartbroken.
Three years later, I discovered Platinum used in a GameStop in Nevada on another road trip, and I was eager to get back into Pokemon and everything, so I bought it. I did the same things I did with Crystal, but Platinum didn't break.
Fast forward again to honestly about 2 months ago, I finally bought HeartGold, which as all of you know, is a remake of Gen II, where Crystal came from. My childhood had made a full loop.
I can only dream that something like this will happen again if/when they remake Diamond and Pearl.

The first soundtrack that a main series Pokemon game has that has unique-ness (every song is different) and yet still feels like Pokemon... I know that sounds weird to say... but it has a modern adventurous feel to it.

Back when i played this game i chose chimchar as my starter and i focused almost solely on him, ignoring most of the other pokemon in my party. when i think back, it was actually really sad. i did get that baby to lvl 100 before going to the elite 4 though and it was so much more powerful than all the elite 4 pokemon

You're telling me. I remember a Gameboy Color appearing unnanounced in my house in 1999, best day of my childhood. That's friggin 15 years ago, still love the series. For around 2 years, the only game I played was pokemon Silver.
I was 11 when this game came out and I got it the day it came out.
I can't wait for these to be remixed whenever Game Freak gives us Sinnoh remakes.

been with pokemon since the start, but i've got to say, sinnoh is my favourite region of all time, it had the most nostalgia even though it was only 7 years ago, and the music is absolutely amazing, not to mention the great new innovative rivals, pokemon and villains, don't forget the amazing events and everything else, it was the best region ever!

I got the game when I was 3 and got stuck on volkner. 11 years later and i find him so easy bahaha

Gen 4 really had a nice setting... It was so chill, yet had a lot of epic moments... A great generation for that... You just spend a great time playing the game, chilling
